Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI wtih temps reaching the 70s.  I had bacon and biscuits on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East".   If that is not on Chuck's approved diet, perhaps he can swap it for something else.  TBIL and I can drive tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

 ChiefEagles:
and put in service our new $900,000 ladder truck.

Chief - your house is the tallest structure in Rosyville at 2 stories ...Stick out tongue

I'm well protected

Temps here to hit 100+ this week so it looks like we will break the 1980 record of 69 100+ days. No rain in sight.

Been praying for a tropical storm for Texas.

SJ and Charlie - how long is that modular? Looks huge and like LAZ said - what a nice way to spend an afternoon outside while the weather is still nice!

Snohio on their way.

Good night all.  Had a great day.

Had visit from lease trouble maker's parents.  Same old BS about their son didn't do it.  Fred was here and we told them he admitted being there but he said he didn't do it. DAH.  Kid told us he did not know how a deer feeder worked but his parents said they had several.  When I told of the trail camera being stolen [he admitted he rode through that night], Wifey, Fred's Wifey and Fred said both parents looked at each other with startle [like, OH that is where he got one].  They left smiling and agreed that if I catch him, I will come to them with the photos [they know we have several IR cameras set in the woods along the paths].  They admitted they did not know what the kid [BTW: he is grown but lives at home] did at night as they went to bed early. Dad said we don't stay up to middle of the night like he does. We don't know what he does but he didn't do it. ConfusedConfusedHuh?

Ladder truck is in service.  Had a big crowd of citizens at the Fire Dept.  A lot of "new" people.  BTW: we have a citizen that is retired fire chief [was not retired at 9-11-01] from a Town in NJ that is right across the river from the Towers site.  I need to remember his name.  Some of you Yank firemen might know him.

Dentist early.  Then chores and off to the lake house [I'm sure grass is high due to large rains].

Prayers for Mrs. SJ.

I knew Chuck was in rehab for a good reason [eye candy in white].  HUMMM  Just took the old Buckeye Detective Agency to catch him.

Sleep tight.

Good morning all,

Alabama blew out PSU yesterday.  The loss was much worse since I am currently in Alabama.  This morning I woke up and went for an 8-mile run.  Since I was unable to find a church service to attend this morning, I watched a few sermons on television and studied on my own.  Unfortunately the regional NFL games down here were not entertaining so I knocked out some of this week's homework ahead of time.  I'm watching the Cowboys-Jets game now and I hoping the Dolphins upset the Pats tomorrow night.

SJ - I'll pray all goes well for Granny.  Who's going to feed you while she's recovering?  Whistling

Good night,

Joe

Many many thanks to you and Mrs. Buckeye for visiting Chuck. I am sure that made his day!

SJ - prayers for Granny's operation.

Cowbiys leading so far.

Have a great evening all!

Evenin' all!

After a productive day at work I called the wife while on the way home only to find out that nothing had been planned for dinner, so off to The Olive Garden we went. Nice and relaxing.

SJ - Good luck tomorrow with her surgery, I'm sure it will turn out easy. BTW, I agree with your thoughts about taking it easy on Sunday's however, with the project I'm involved with at work that's not possible.

HudsonJohn - Nothing this week that I'm aware of. But don't rule out a box from Jim, I hear he wants to clean off his pool table!

Jim - Think about this!!!! Laugh

JoeD - We finally won one! Maybe we can start getting some distance between us and the Saux now.

Good Night!

For some reason, I could not get on this website at all yesterday afternoon or last night?  I had no problem with any other website?

Char was doing fine today.  Our dog bent me around like a pretzel last night, so my back was bothering me, but I'm fine too.  Had a good day overall with church, then more church and a meet 'n greet.

Great pic, SJ!  Prayers for Granny and you.

DougDG - sounds like good times with the munchkin and yes, I'll keep you informed.  I sent him a new email and said if he pays for all shipping, then I will return it.  I don't think I should be out a single penny as this is not what was advertised at all.  So glad to hear about Chuck's recovery and the nursing staff taking good care of him Smile

TARDIS is ready for launch, but we will take it easy tonight.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

A quiet day here on the mountain. Worked on a few projects and then took a hike down the access road. Ended up going all the way down to the gate. Beautiful afternoon and some wonderful views of SE Arizona.

Have not been watching any of the TV presentations regarding 9/11, but heard a bit on NPR this morning.  Mainly just quietly reflecting on the events of the past ten years.

Buckeye, thanks for the update on Chuck. Good to see his posts again here.

Back to various projects.

Evenin' Dudes & Dudettes.

Glorius day today. The munchkin, won't be able to call him that much longer the way he's growing, spent the nite last nite. Up early for Grampa's bacon waffles w/a side of bacon as well. Oink Oink. Later we took him to his swim lesson where we joined daughter and sil to observe the lesson. Went out for a nice light lunch at a soup/salad/sandwich place afterwards, yummy and low sodium.

Sister is convinced her "baby brother" will survive so planning on flying home this week. Took her on a bit of a sight seeing tour after lunch, stopped for awhile and watched the hanggliders then on up the beach road to watch some surf & surfers. A nice enjoyable and relaxing afternoon. SWMBO and sister decided to make one last visit to the casino prior to her departure, I opted out.

SJ, Prayers for Granny's surgery tomorrow and recovery afterwards.

Great opening ceremony for Cowboy /Jet game, great bagpipe performance.

Later all.

Good Evening from the Jersey Shore,

A somber day remembering 9/11.

Chuck: Glad to see you back and on the road to recovery.

Rich, Enjoy Wildwood. Someone has to stay here to protect the town, so I guess it is me.

Dennis, i remember the Wallington Clown Act. We used to compete against them when I was in South Amboy in the 70's. Partied hardy with "Chiefie" and crew from Wallington also back then.

Ray, Any packages this week?

Brutus, Jim, Glad nothing serious with char and she is better.

SJ, Charlie, The modular layout sems like a lot of fun and a good venue to promote the hobby.

Laz, Minnie and the "wabbit" sounds like our Lab / Pointer Mack, except he was raised with a rabbit and tried to befriend it.

SJ, Thoughts and Prayers for Granny.

Have a Great Evening, Almost time for the Tardis,

John

Good evening all,

It was rainy and humid in SE Indiana today.  Reffed two games Saturday, came home, mowed the yard for 2+ hours, and swept the house.   Then proved to wife we could buy $25 of useful stuff at Dollar General to save 5$.  Tired.  Rested today.  Did move some redbud starts over to replace the one maple we lost.  Watched a movie with wife while building with LEGOs.   Wa tched a chick flick with wife Friday night, "Letters to Juliet".  Been doing a lot of remembering today.  No direct connection to anyone involved in the events, but still painful to recall.  Makes a lot of other details pretty petty.  Glad to hear from Chuck some more.

Keep on training,

Good Evening

68 but comfortable.

After church the family took granny to dinner. Then the kids set up a visit time at the house so only 1 family was here at a time. I think it helped her to not think about tomorrow morning. OR is scheduled for 10:30 am. I got to watch the Lions win and then on to the next game. Banilla is waiting...S.J.

Aloha and Yay about Chuck's PT. Thanks for the update, Buckeye. SJ and Charlie, tell us about that outdoor module! Kelly is gone on another one of her retreats so I'm home for the next two days - homeschooling one boy and keeping an eye on the teen. Got lots to do. We try to keep Sunday a sabbath - quiet, recovery sort of time to face the week - it also includes football watching. Go Bears! Prayers for Char to recover from her bug and for healing for Roy.

Today's weather was just like 10 years ago. I was at work and wondering why our network connectivity suddenly slowed. It was everyone going online to find out what was happening. When my wife called me, I didn't believe her because I had class that night. But they closed the campus and we all ran for the trains. They just ran them in and out all stops all day. Everyone was staring at the Sears Tower.

Gotta make dinner. Maybe run trains later.

Blueberryhill RR

GOOD MORNING FROM BLUEBERRYHIILL

No therapy today.

remember 9-11

From my viewpoint, you have therapy everyday.  I'll explain.

Yesterday, Mrs Buckeye loaded up the mule for the long trek half way up the mountain to see Blueberry and find out how is recovery has progressed.  We arrived at the Caldwell Country Club and Therapy Center just after eating lunch our lunch of dried Cheerios.

We found Chuck's room down a long hall.  As we proceeded the eye candy was everywhere dressed in nursing whites.  (They even wear those white crocodile shoes now.)  I want to assure everyone that Chuck's eyes get a work out every hour of the day.

Chuck was in good spirts and had good color.  A fact also agreeded upon by Mrs. Buckeye.  He told us about his physical therapy and it seemed to be going well.  We also talked about the snow ohio cannon operation this year.

Good afternoon.  Been a nice morning...somber.  Church had some respectful videos and the message was great.  Sunday school was great too.  One thing that I didn't know about a friend is that he was in the Pentagon when it was hit.  Said he heard the crash and felt the vibration.  We have a Marine Corps base here and have a large number in our congregation.

I knew some folks from the FDNY who died at the WTC.  Also had some friends who worked there.  Lots of folks directly affected, but it was and is a national tragedy.  It would be great if everyone continued to come together the way they did for a short time after 9/11/01.

It is time to get ready and head into church.  One thing that we have at our church is a "ReFresh" conference.  It is a time when we place a special focus on growing in Christ and lifting up prayer for seemingly impossible things.  Having had such a prayer answered in Chuck, I would like to extend that if anyone has such, you can PM me, or have it sent directly to our church.

God Bless,
Dennis

Good morning all, getting ready for mass at 11:30.  No morning news shows as cancelled for 9/11 memorials.  My son went to early mass and said they had 9/11 rememberance at that with Boy Scout flag presentation and patriotic songs.  I don't mind that but frankly I have seen enough of the burning twin towers.  Who can forget that.  At least they got the geek that masterminded all this crap.  Shooting was too good for him.

Chuck, have a good restfull day and get ready for more PT next week.  Good to see you posting.

Train meet today and also music concert with music from the roaring twenties.  Still having back pains when I stand too long so I will probably miss both events.

Kinda bummed out today.  I think I will just lay low.

later,

Afternoon all.  Went to early Church and then Sunday School.  Wifey went to Sunday School and big Church [as she calls it].  Had 9-11 services at both.  Got 9-11 thingy at Fire dept at 2 PM.  At 3, bagpipes and prayer.  Then us politicians give a few words.  Then we dedicate and put in service our new $900,000 ladder truck.

Glad to see Chuck still posting.

Everyone better save the picture of Sir. J smiling.  First and last. Whistling  Speaking of Sir. J, "its" on the way.  Better get those dogs "tuned up" and ready to pull. Laugh

Got pipe set in concrete ready to slide the family farm bell frame inside.  Then the family farm bell [started with my Granddad] will be in Roseyville.

Have a great week.

sir james I

Good Morning

Laz it's a modular layout know as the Glancy group. It all fits into a box trailer. There are also modules that members own that  have scenes on them including a city with trolley. The layout is well known locally and is set up at many train shows throughout the year.

Our plans for the day is a dinner out with the kids, they want to visit with mom before tomorrow. I feel tired but well..S.J.

Now thats a perfect way to spend a nice late summer or early fall day.  Hope the chili was good.

Cloudy with rain today at exit 77 on the GSP!

Charlie - Nice pic of SJ however, are you sure that's a smile or an attack from the chili? Laugh

Chuck - What's for breakfast?

Roy - Good luck with your neck problem. Pains like that remind you all day long that they are there, just like back pain.

Jack - Are either one of us going to win anymore this year?

CHARLIE,

Looks like SIR JAMES is a proud father?  Glad YUZ GUYZ had a fun time.  Do you set up those tables for your meet and then take everything apart and store it or what?  Seems like a great way to run trains and enjoy the great outdoors.

Hi GUYZ,

A bit foggy and cool here at 60.  Went to church last nite then we took MINNIE out to chase rabbits for abot 45 minutes.  She got close a few times we can tell if she start to yip.  I saw her get about 2 feet near the wabbit then the yip starts.  Fuunny!  I don't know what she'll do when she catches one?  We'll see.

CHUCK, have a easy day today.

Stay frosty,
