Born in a log cabin on the banks of the Wabash River, Buckeye frequently rode the train to see his grandparents as a child. Normally, until he had to take his afternoon nap, he would run the big locomotives for the NYC and B&O to make sure he got to grandma's house in time to watch the Howdy Doody Show on TV. It was during one of these naps, that the National Limited derailed in WV. If Buckeye had been at the throttle, this catastrophe would not have happened. Later in life, he built his own railroad, the Baltimore, Ohio and Wabash. This railroad has the fastest trains in Ohio.
