Chief Eagles

Evening from Roseyville.  Raining hard.  Day started at 8 AM with breakfast meeting at BoJangles, then one in Raleigh, then Dr's appointment, lots of xrays [still could not find a blue heart but only GRAY], Town Hall to approve items and ending with dinner at East Wake Republicans' Club.

Truths:

Chuck is doing great and will be coming home. Big Smile

Jon E has a great layout because he has to stay in all winter due to lots of snow and cold in Ioway.  He does not get out as he does not have a dog sled like Sir J. Paradise

Fifey sails his yatchet while still tied to the dock. Pirate

John Bakeer hangs out at the local PUB as the ladies at his retirement place will not speak to him anymore. Embarrassed

Jack sends extra tax money to his state every year. Whistling

Pat's cows all smile as they have such a great REBEL master. Thumbs Up

Buckeye's neighbor kids have come over and run his trains as he has never learned how. Dunce

John [Hudson] has real straight hair that stands up.  Stuck his finger in a transformer. Idea

Rich has a problem fighting fires.  Not enough hose. Surprise

Sir J does a hair count each morning. Sigh

Another truth:  The sauce flows freely in Roseville, NC.

Chief, my Blackberry, Mrs. Buckeye's IPHONE and IPAD all do not work with this forum.   (Doug Murphy - Please comment.Geeked)  Lionel has a site for the Blackberry where, while I'm on the road, I can find local train stores.  Smile, Wink & Grin  I can also watch the radar on the Blackberry to make sure SnowOhio is heading in the right direction after Chuck fires the snow cannon.  Unfortunately, Roseyville is not on the map so we aim the cannon at Flying Pigs Eye Corners, the largest metropolitan area near Roseyville. Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 60s.  Tied our game last night 1-1.  Got our Halloween lighted pumpkin car to go with Black Cave Flyer set up for the entry area to the house during the season.  Looks really cool.  Will test run it tonight.  Vitor 17th quick in frst round of practice at Motegi.  Good day at work.  Good to hear from Chuck again.  I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East".  TBIL and I can drive.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good evening all,

Class was busy the past couple of days; the pace of our class work and projects is picking up.  I am going to spend some time this weekend working ahead again so I don't risk falling behind.  The class is broken up into smaller groups and tonight my group went out to eat to a BBQ place called Dreamland BBQ.  It was a vinegar based sauce which was very good.  The pulled pork was tender and delicious with the sauce but the ribs were a little tough.

SP Ray - I'll pray for your sister, your family, and you.  I hope you can visit her soon.

Good night,

Joe

Good morning all,

I am overwhelmed by all the prayers  you guys on the Forum have sent  for my sister.  I can't thank you all enough for your kind consideration.  I appreciate it very much.  I got a call from my brother in Virginia this morning and he is going to see her soon.  She has something going on with pain radiating into her back which may be cancer related.  One of the doctors have suggested doing some kind of surgery on the back which may prolong her life a little.  So far no decision has been made on that.

Hope Chuck is doing well today.  Good to see him posting again.  More prayers for Char.

Went out to a Mexican restaurant near us last night.  Did not taste as good as usual.  I don't know why.  They usually have good Chile Rellenos but the one I had looked like the green chile pepper in it was canned or something.  Just had no taste to it.

My brother in Virginia said that they caught a lot of fish recently near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel.  They were small pan size Spot fish but lots of them.  He and his kin took home about 50 each for the freezer.  He said Flounder fishing has not been too good this year.

Thanks again for all you prayers,

Ray

Afternoon all!

Apologies for not keeping up but pain in arm and shoulder is compounded if I mess with the computer and I spend way too much time on it for work. One doc is saying pinched nerve and the other is saying degeneration in the neck (Fife - I anxiously await your "degenerate" comments). Regardless the pain is pretty intense sometimes, particularly at the end of the day after working on the PC. Left arm is in a sling and this helps a lot to take the pressure off. What they are not telling me is if this is going to heal up or not??

Ray - sorry about your sister Angel

Prayers for all that need them Angel

Will be posting irregularly until the arm gets better.

Have a great day all.

Regards, Roy

Fife -- thanks for the kudos, the only inspiration I've had is the sheer joy of working on our layout and watching my wife having a great time with scenery, I had no idea she would have so much fun.

Brutus -- I think the pic is on pg. 12, can't miss the John Deere colors, I'm not sure as I don't have access to a magazine right now.

Brutus - It is page 12, Oct. issue.

Good Mornin' Ya'll From Hazy But Still Seasonal Taxachusetts,

SP Ray......I am so sorry about the news on your sister.  I hope you can iron out the travel wrinkes and visit her soon.  I will add her in my prayers for you. Angel

Chuck.......who is guarding your trains while you are incarcerated?  Laugh

SJ.......continued prayers for Granny's recovery.  Her keee must be feeling poorly right now, but week by week these things will improve.  Soon she will be back in action.  In the interim, hope your supply of pots and pans is adequate to withstand your cooking faux pas.  Smile, Wink & Grin  Are your Tigers all on steroids?  They can't seem to lose, and at just the right time.  They've put the final stake in the heart of the White Sox the past couple of weeks.  Sorry, DougM.........being from Chicago, you and I are quite used to exits from the mix, early as well as late.  If the Red Sox keep playing like they are, the Rays will replace them for the Wild card.

MikeC........funny you should post about adding a few momentos into the mix at home.  My wife and I did that many moons ago, and last night we decided that we now we need to revisit some boxes in our basement.

Jon........that is quite an honor, your CTT photo. Thumbs Up  Congas!  Also someone noted an article you may be writing?  Hope it is educational, like "what is the best matress to buy when you need to hide money for train purchases."  Wink   What a fantastic road trip you had.  My Dad used to say that one needs not travel outside of the U.S. to find incredible natural beauty.  I think he meant the beauty of our natural landscape.  Big Smile

Well, the sun is still peeking out now and then, but clouds and the rain are scheduled for later.  Like many of you, that Canadian front which will arrive tonight will move the overnight temps into the mid 40s and the daytime temps in the mid 60s into the weekend.  Been enjoying beautiful clear evenings with a sharp harvest moon.

Later, gang.

Congrats Jon, what page is that pic on?

Tardis was delayed last night due to some computer problems, but I did finally manage to get into the usps sight and get the postage/label to send a box to PartsandTrains or Parts Trains, depending on which email I read.  I ensured it for 75 and dropped into PO parcel slot this AM at about 7:15.

Mornin' boys.  Mornin' Mayor McDingy.  Partly sunny & 66 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Spent yesterday afternoon lounging on the yatchet, before heading in for work.  Boatyard will be breaking up a similar model sailboat this week, and I am looking to cannibalize some parts (ports, teak rails).  Was even thinking how the bow would make an interesting planter.

SPMan - Best wishes with everything.

laz - You're being told you're old...just politely...

jonadel - Repeated kudos on your CTT pic.  Looking forward to your upcoming article.  Can't wait to read my name as one of your modeling inspirations...Embarrassed

Aloha! Very cold here. Nice parents night at the high school - 7th in a row. Won't be back for another 6 years. Wow. Ray, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister and will pray you get to see her soon. Hudson, those translation apps are pretty nifty.  (though I wouldn't be handing a smartphone to anyone overseas. LOL) Some allow you to speak into the phone and it writes and speaks your statement in the other language (avoids misunderstandings)

Hi GUYZ,

60 and rainy here, maybe GOLF with BRO later today if rain stops.  Saw quite a few of my kidos parents last nite.  Funny these parents are the ones I taught quite a few years ago, now I have their kids.  Lots have said You still here.  And lots were suprised it is my last year.  Felt good of the comments I got from them.

SPMAN, RAY Angel prayers on the prayer train for your SIS.

CHUCK, keep up the work buddy.
