Been dead tired all day. As has been told we were w/out power thursday afternoon til early friday morning. Spent a full day at the museum friday then went to Cruising Grand that nite. Great display of vintage fire equipment, there was a contigent of NYFD retirees on hand. Really loved an old horse drawn steam powered pumper. The guys operating it were dressed in period attire and the Dalmation sitting next to the driver. Think I may have overdone it since I was so exhausted today.
Great to see Chuck on board again.
Brutus, If your purchase is not resolved to your satisfaction please let me know who the seller is since most of my stuff comes from Evil-Bay.
Nite all.

Dang it. Hit the back arrow instead of the post button! So, one more time:
Chuck - glad to hear that you are in PT. Follow instructions and get better.
Brutus - that trip through St Louis is still several weeks off. I'll contact you when I get the travel arrangements finalized to see if we can work out a meeting.
No LHS today. My wife and I went on a shopping expedition in Kansas City. The highlight of the trip for me was the Italian resturant we stopped at for lunch. There was an air show in Lee's Summit. Saw a Focker triplane and a Ford Tri-motor fly over.
All for now.
Go Tigers!
Back from middle SIL's birthday party. Was at the Ale House. My first visit to that place. Not my favorite place. Food was OK. Too many drunks. Did not start until 8:30. SIL is RN and did not get off until 7. We were the first to leave. Some folks will wake up with a big headache tomorrow. Not me.
Sleep tight.

Good Evening
70 now, it turned out to be a nice day. We ran trains outside at Charlies' on a modular layout. They were still playing when I left. Elmer the owner of Wild Bills Trains stopped by for awhile along with the stores ever popular Burt. Banilla is ready but I'm full of chili so maybe later...S.J.

Good evening everyone. Had a good day (didn't get called in...yet). Wife had a baby shower she and our daughter went to. Son and I worked on installing the video surveillence system. We got three of the four cameras installed. Only have one to do, but it will be the hardest as the design of the house, the second story has a walk in attic over part of the first story, so cameras in back were relatively easy. The one for the front has to go up and over the second story rooms, so I think I am going to have to cut a large hole in the wall so that I can crawl into the space and run the wires. I may just create a new storage space as it is clearly wasted the way they built it. Following the install, had a great time playing baseball with my son.
Had one downer for the day. Wife's Oscar fish had lived 10 years and got to the size of a Crappie, but decided to die this morning. Had to burry him...along with some sun flower seeds to put him to some use.
Fife, enjoyed your bit of wit there. As others have mentioned, thanks for the years of service.
Regarding Sundays, I too don't do much, beyond church and family. Usually take a nap after lunch and morning services. My neck needs the rest so I can be on camera again for the evening service. I do some of my homework for the men's bible study that I have been involved in.
Bob, good luck on the motorcycle project. I don't think my bride would let me get one these days. While some on bikes take some risky chances, I think most issues with bike accidents are because people in cars don't know how to drive around them. Just be careful.
Chuck, keep up the good work sir! I will make you a deal, You keep doing what you are told, I will keep praying for your full recovery and strength to come back.
Pray that all of you have a great week ahead.God Bless,Dennis

No York till April, Charlie and I like the sometimes warmer weather of spring they have.
As for the Be-an-O not sure what the guys will bring to run, but the garage door will stay open, that's for sure.
S.J.
Great to have Chuck back with us!!!
Back at work for a few more days. Rained like nothing doing (whole herd of cows and flat rocks) while I was on I-10 yesterday. Even stopped a UP stack train I think. Hopefully some of it will end up Roy's way, but was probably going in the wrong direction.
Don't get on the computer much on my days off. Have to try and change that. Lots of meetings and tinkering around the house.
The motorcycle is a 75 Honda Trail 90. Interesting little bike. Got a good deal on it from a friend. Just spent more money in parts than I paid for it. Learning quite a bit about motorcycles. Will try and post a picture when I get home next week.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!
Bob
P.S. Fife thanks for your 25 years of service and I liked the B&O reference

Good morning all,
Chuck from Blueberry Hill. Keep up that therapy. We are all pulling for you and send our prayers.
Chief, I was surprised to hear that they still have a no hunting law in Pennsylvania in this day and age when everything else seems to have to be politcally correct. I haven't hunted in years but it doesn't have anything to do with Sunday. Personally I do think of Sunday as a day of rest because of my upbringing I suppose but do not wish to impose my beliefs on anyone else. I pursue my other hobbies on Sunday but put church ahead of the other things so what;s the difference. We have one train meet that is always on Sunday so if I want to go I have to go then. At least no one ever complained about gun fire at the train meet.
Got some sad news last night that the owner of my local Hobby shop passed away while on Vacation in Hawaii. I think he was about 70. He and his wife run the shop called The Train Stop in San Dimas, California. His name is Paul Kirby. I have known Paul for something like 40 years. We used to have a bunch of guys who met once a week at the store after hours but that was years ago. A very close friend of mine used to be the Lionel repairman for him for several years. In recent years I think they got out of the repair business. I send my condolonces and prayers to his wife, Susan and to his family.
Three strikes and you're out! That was my opinion on eating out last night at a certain restaurant in our neighborhood. I had already kind of crossed them off my list but we got a good review from a friend about their turkey dinner. So we ordered that. My wife and I both had trouble digesting it. Well, I can say never again with conviction this time.
There is a music festival of the jazz and roaring twenties era in a park near us this afternoon. I really want to go but have to see if my back feels like it when the time comes. It's allways a fun show and a lot of the dancers dress up in costumes from the twenties. A local celebrity puts together this 20"s dance band and does this once a year at least at this venue. His name is Ion Whitcomb who was a rock and roll singer in England when he was younger. He is an expert about all the old music including jazz and Tin Pan Alley songs.
Have a good week end,
Ray
SPMan
Afternoon all,
It has been a busy day so far. We had a football game and we won 18 to 0. It was not pretty but it was a win. Monday continued drilling fundamentals.
The concrete for the footer was poured, simple enough. Nice day for concrete work. Getting ready to go for evening Mass. I’m preaching and the topic is forgiveness.
Chuck I will include your continued return to health in the prayer intentions.
May God bless
Jim
Well here I sit looking and looking as I know I posted this morning but can't find it lol oh well will try again.
Plan to straighten the den up today and maybe do a carpet central layout again but this time just one loop. ( wish I had a 45 cross section lol ) anyway need to test my PA-1 and PB-1 that I got about a month and half ago. At least in conventional mode seeing I got rid of my tmcc thinking I was going to buy a legacy set but that didn't happen train money got a major crunch all of a sudden. and OT has had to be reduced to 8 hrs every 2 weeks instead of my normal 24 - 48
Chuck keep up the progress and don't get caught chasing the cute nurses down the hall at night.
Made a big spurel here telling you what to do witht he seller brutus but it all got lost oh well sure you know how to handle it but you still need even if all comes out good in the end state something like listed as nib got trashed version all taken care of in end by ( then say ebay or seller)
Well need to get back to straightening the den up some more and get some track out so I can run my trains :)

Morning all!
Had a busy last 2 days with meetings, doc appts, HS football last night (lost due to bad coaching on our partt.
WELCOME BACK CHUCK! Prayers for your continued recovery!
Doug, Brutus - the pic in OGR was a bit of a surprise to me. It was a fun event but we had to be there around 5:30 - 6 am each day.
Having a problem with a nerve in my neck so kind of down for the count. If I stand or sit too long my shoulder feels like it is on fire. Had x-rays taken yesterday of my neck to see if there is anything going on there. Will probably not do much today. Watching NASCAR Richmond race prep show on Speed Channel. Race later tonight. From the recaps looks like I missed a good Nationwide race last night.
SJ - sounds like fun. Tell Charlie hello. Have a hot dog for me. Will you guys make York next month?
Have a great day all! Especially Chuck!
Regards, Roy
Last night we had our class mixer. It was an alright time and I turned in early enough to miss any possible shenanigans. I did catch a CSX loco (I believe it was a switcher) reversing down the line as I was outside talking on the cell phone to my wife for a few minutes. The engineer had many crossings to roll through so the horn seemed to never stop; I loved it, but my wife couldn't hear me. I woke up early this morning to do my laundry and have a nice breakfast. I need to knock out some coursework before the PSU-Alabama game starts.
Fife - Congratulations on the pin and thanks for your service. I thought the Beano joke was funny.
SJ - I wasn't brought up in old Baptist ways but I was brought up to rest on Sunday. My wife and I try very hard to impress that upon our kids. We do all of our errands and chores on Saturday so we can go to church and rest on Sunday. Years ago it was easier to do this because nothing was open on Sundays so there was nowhere to go and we were forced to do everything on Saturday. I don't want to preach either - I hope everyone has at least one day they can rest and worship.
SP Ray - I’m glad your friend found a job.
Dennis - I should be able to call Dr John today.
Chuck - I hope your therapy went well, and continues so.
Good day,
Joe
sir james - Will you be running any Be-an-o...? Get it?
ok, maybe wasn't that funny...
Good Morning
63, it rained hard all night. Still coming from the east and going round and round. Old Baptist ways said Sunday was a rest day, right or wrong I'll will leave this earth still regarding Sunday that way. Once after returning home from vacation I cut the grass on Sunday, still feel guilty about it. Not preaching, just telling you my inner thoughts. Charlie is having the club guys over this evening for some toy train fun, I'm going for the hot dogs and chili....S.J.
Hi GUYZ,
Well got about an inch o rain last nite in about 20 minutes. It really came down had to shut the windows and close the sliding door. Today gotta cut grass as soon as it dries out.
CHUCK, keep on keepin on with the PT. Remember its all in the pace.
CHIEF, yes I know about the vote for Sunday hunting. I probably won't hunt on Sundays. I need that time and I think so do the animals. Next year when I retire I'll have the whole week to hunt so why do I need Sunday?
Stay frosty,
laz57
Morning all. Up and moving. Where is the coffee? Pretty day. Chores around the house and lease.
Chuck, keep up the good work.

GOOD MORNING FROM BLUEBERRYHILL
ANOTHER 3 WEEKS OF THERAPY AND THEN I CAN GO HOME.
THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS
Good evening everyone. About ready for bed. Had all our vehicles serviced over the last few days and had tinting put in one so that the sun will be less damaging to the interior. Also, should be a little cooler inside.
Rich, WaWaWatch the Tramcar! Have a great time. I was down there with the boys from the IAFF...was a fun week. Enjoyed the parade too. The guys from Wallington put on a good show.
Chuck, will continue to pray for your return to full health. With this new lease on life, don't waste it, make the most of it! Your story is certainly one of answered prayer!
Have a great weekend everyone.Dennis
We love you too, Chuck! Hope PT is Pretty Terrific!
RT and Doug etc, yeah - he responded return for refund. I said, that means I'll be out 20 on a 50 purchase, so 40 percent loss to me? You refund half and we'll call it even. If no reply, I'll wait out the 7 days and try negative feedback and go through ebay or whatever. He has like 98.7 percent positive feedback and a zillion sales. If it said For Parts, that would be different. I think he swapped the item for a crap one because of the price I won at?
WOW - that flooding is terrible, reminds me of '93 here in Saint Louis! After that, they ID'd a lot of flood planes and did away with construction and even existing housing in it out in the counties. But, out West they rebuilt and even built up more in a known flood plane. We are all just waiting for it to go under one of these years.
Char has a new bug - she's been sick all day. But, now she is really hungry, so guess it was a 24 hour bug.
TARDIS is ready, so let's get going guys
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
70, it finally warmed a little today.
A PT guy was here today to show us things granny can and cannot do after her operation. He went through the house with do's and don'ts. Banilla is ready...S.J.
Oh yea,
CHUCK and BUCKEYE, TGIF!!!!! WOW it's been awhile, and just sounds right.
Evening all
Chuck - Great to see you posting. I will continue to keep you in my special prayers.
The contractor finished digging the footer. Pouring concrete Saturday morning. We have a football game so I'll be at the game. They are going to scrape away more dirt to make room under the crawl space. They want to lay the block early next week.
Good night and may God bless
Well I needed a train fix and you guessed it ran trains for 2.5 hrs and NO PILE UPS. CHUCK hope you heard the whistle on the CSX SD $)s tootin for you. Had a nice day here a little rain not much but just enough to get ground wet. Did a nice 10 mile bike ride today to see all the devestation from this flood.
