Morning!

Brutus:  Let the mud dry before using the sponge.  Ring out as much water as you can, and wipe the dry mud to get it damp, then wipe down in circles to feather the edges.  The sponge has a rough side to knock down the bad areas.

Drywall and painting today if the weather cooperates.

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the low 80s.  "Desperate Housewives" was good again last night. I had the usual fare on the dining car this morning.  Wife is working as a "sub" every day this week.  She will be one tired puppy by the end of the week.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning all. Grey and warming here. Of course I'm feeling fine enough to work today. Enjoyed the Bears and Sox yesterday. Hopefully the latter will do well enough again today. Boy, Sir James, the Lions sure looked terrible.

Good Morning,

Had a couple of short down pours, maybe the rain will stop for the day. Otherwise WPB FL should be sunny near 85 again.

Over the weekend went to see the movie Beverly Hills Chihou(excuse the spelling on this one please!, chi-woo-wa), very good movie, a bit of a comedy. Would tell you more but that will give away some good stuff.

Neigbor claims they are going to cut down two big trees near my property line, the one I would even help pay to cut down if he wants as that is how much I want this tree down.

Still have the racoon problem, going to call animal control on him this week, not legal to shoot an animal in my neigborhood(to discharge a firearm is illeagle{why does it always have to be a sick eagle?}).

MIAMI Dolphins won again!! Hopefully the Dolphins will go to the playoffs.

Working on upstairs project, painting walls by stairwell landing and plastering around the windows. Figured I would use my time wisely while waiting for the Directv person to show up, no show as it rained all day saturday. Don't know if I will have cable for the whole week or not, if not no problem as I don't watch that much TV.

Hey boys,

Cloudy up to 80 with showers/rain today.  Had a great day on Saturday, next Saturday I'll be hooking up LEGACY and a TIU (2 separate layouts).  Looks like fun.....

Made Italian sausage for a "pot luck" shower/reception yesterday, made 5 lbs of sausage with sauce, 3 pieces were left after the party...wife made Ziti and that was half gone.

How 'bout them NY Giants!! 4-0, but have a ways to go.  NHL starts on Friday (for me, at least), Devils on the Island - Free NHL Preview this week and I can't wait!!!

Cleaned the train room last night, I got the wiring to hook up my mainline crossing.  Now just need time.

See ya later!

Good Monday morning everyone.  I am off call, but we have a lot of cases to do.  I will be here till dark....again.  Anyway, did a case this morning that my wife is friends with the daughter in law.  Case went fine, but it is always worrisome as you don't want Murphy (not doug) and his laws from showing up.

Well, I hope the day is great for each of you.

The earthquake is in New York, on Wall Street to be exact, and the fault line runs down the right coast to Washington.

Howdy gents!  Doug-D-G -- hope your arthritis is better now.  My neck is better today and it was killing me all day yesterday.  Oh well, just another manic Monday.  Gave up my vacation days I had scheduled for 10/15 and 16 since I can't make that trip this year.  Maybe next year.  Sir James, have you seen the keys to the Tardis?

Good Evening from Blueberryhill....

Today was a cloudy day. 72 degrees. Cool tonite.

I was busy today. Monthly paperwork. I did some walking and it felt good. Leg muscles are getting stronger.

Still have not gotten to the train room. That is one of my goals. Those trains are getting dusty. Need to run.

Had the usual on the Dining car this morning.

I hope y'all had a great Monday.

Got home at a decent hour today.  Did 3 hearts and was able to come home and fix the dryer before SWMBO had dinner ready.  First time in the last two weeks I made it home for dinner at dinner time.  I have had to re-heat my meals every day lately.

Been reading some older magazines that I had won recently.  Also watched a DVD on SCL, ACL, FEC and some others on early 60s railroading.  It was nice, but I still prefer steam.  The Satelite is down and Direct TV is aware.  Not sure what the problem is, but it is the whole system with certain DVR/HD set ups.  I wonder if they will reduce the charges this month.

In the movie realm, it is still doing well.  NY Times did a piece on our church and also had done a nice review on the movie when it first came out.  As of this weekend, it grossed over 12.5 million.  When one comes to think that God uses people in their weekness, so He gets the glory, we must be very week.....humbling experience.  Anyway, I get all these calls and emails from folks who have seen the movie.  I call my parents to ask if they have seen it and what they think....They haven't gone.  Oh well.

I am really looking forward to the next CTT.  I need some train material!

I hope everyone is OK.  I missed the part about arthritis and neck pain.....I suffer with both.  My neck is fused in three places and I have degenerative disc as well.  Makes for some interupted sleep and lots of headaches.  I have one now, so I'll sign off.

God Bless,

Dennis

Laz, That's not a quake, now this is a quake:

The U.S. Geological Survey said Monday's first quake measured magnitude 6.6 and struck at 4:30 p.m. 50 miles west of Lhasa, more than 1,600 miles from Beijing.

The second temblor measuring magnitude 5.1 hit about 15 minutes later, some 60 miles west of the Tibetan capital, it said.

Now that would really mess up the house.

Evening all.  County Comm and Town Board meetings over.  Meetings tomorrow are postponed.  Will probably get up the "trimmings" from the shrubs I trimed today before going to meeting.  Then hit the road to the lake and fish tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday AM.  Rain on the way for Thursday and early Friday.  RT, will be there Tuesday PM, Wednesday and Thursday.  May pull out Thursday evening or may stay and leave Friday.  Not sure as I have to talk to the rep group guy.  Will let you know how long.  It is at some Temple off of the I 20 [I think].  Now for some popcorn and rest.  Will say good night.  Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.

SORRY DON, DOUGDG, AND SPMan.  Red Sox take the Angels in 4. Thumbs Up [tup]

DougM.......Cubbies and White Sox have died, losing 6 of 7 playoff games between them.  RIP until next year. Thumbs Down [tdn]  Having been born and raised in Chi-town, it was my hope that Boston would square off against one or both this Fall.

Rich, Lee, Mel, and the rest of the Florida boys.....see if you can get some Rays fans to show up for the ALCS in Tampa between the Rays and the Red Sox.  The attendance is embarrassing.  What's with that?  The Rays are the real deal.

Jack, I was kinda hoping it would be the Brewers & the Rays, I'm sure the networks would have loved trying to sell advertising for a couple of small market teams in the series. Laugh [(-D] Whistling [:-^] Besides, the way the Padres played this year I pretty much quit watching baseball before the halfway mark. Sigh [sigh]

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s.  Did some more housework and errands last night.  Watched some of "Dancing with the Stars".  Wife had it on and I am sort of like a deer in the headlights when the TV is on.  She says I would watch test patterns and I probably would.  Slept well last night, but right eye is hurting for some reason.  Can't quite figure it out.  Practiced with "my" soccer girls last night.  I hope they get their act together before next Tuesday.  I had the usual fare on the dining car this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 43 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Hey Chief, I too spent the better part of yesterday cutting back the 2 blue cedars that bracket the front door.  They are 20 feet tall and their little needles bite!  Had to do so to finish painting front of house.  Will scrub down walls, remove shutters, and take down flower boxes.

Did take a little time out for the layout yesterday.  Finished painting, etched in some cracks and fisures, then adding some black washes to my concrete retaining walls.

They're still playing baseball...Confused [%-)]  I totally lose interest at the first kick-off on Ravens opening day.  Perhaps MLB would be better served by ending season by LABOR Day...

Morning all.  Fifey, too much work.  At least your feet are getting back to normal instead of rounded from standing on a ladder rung all the time.  Nice fall like morning .  Going to haul off the trimmings and then go to the lake for a day or two.  Rain coming in Thursday and may be off and on thru Sat.   Also want to dig out hole and put in base [sand, the stone and then cement in pipe] for American flag at the Lake House.  Let it set up for a while and then mount pole and flag.  Have a good one.

Morning all. Grey and warmish - supposed to rain. Wouldn't mind as it is my 'long' day. Prayers for those with stiff necks and arthritis, knee and eye recoveries. Laz, that is cool about going to HS with Joe Maddon - it was interesting to watch him manage. Well, as Jack noted, that's it for baseball for me - didn't expect the White Sox to compete so it was a good season. As Fife says, it's hard to notice once the NFL (Bears) kick off. Hope to see my conductor friend this eve on my late-night scoot home and give him the Sept. CTT. He's an old-head from C&NW.
