Still working on Christmas cards, and I'm almost finished with them;  but have taken a break to get lunch set out for everyone in here:

You have your choice of:

1.  Leftover Pizza from Saturday night

2.  Leftover Roast, taters, carrots, biscuits, slaw, brown gravy, salad from Sunday Dinner

Very cold outside:  I just opened the front door for Sarah to come in.  They were deadheaded back to Louisville from Cincinnati.  Everyone enjoy your afternoon, take care, and I'll see you all later on this afternoon, evening.

Good Snowy morning to fellow posters.

The cold is here.  Much earlier:  11 degrees.   Now:  11 degrees...!  Might see a high of 21 today....I kind of doubt it.

On my computer, I have the temp displayed for Paisley, Fl., where some of Jean's family lives and this morning as I turned this machine on, it indicated 39.  In the past hour, I noted on the weather channel that Miami might be below freezing tomorrow morning.

Here, we're having snow flurries...and to be roughly the same tomorrow.  No big storm system, just the system coming around the Low in the upper Great Lakes and creating some lake effect down into Indiana, and some flurries here.  Wed. looks better.

....Tom:  It would suit me fine if we'd "hardly ever see the stuff"....Our avg. snow fall here is about: 27" per season.  Back home in Pa., that figure was much higher....Don't remember just what it was now.....

I do remember a bad one back in 1958 we had 133" of it that season...!

Good Monday morning everyone.  21 degrees here in Louisville this morning, with wind chills in the single digits. We'll probably drop a couple more degrees this morning, and our projected high for today:  25 degrees.  It's going to be a cold day around here.

Tom, thanks for taking care of breakfast for me.  I've been up for a little bit, when I 'woke' up the puter, had to do a virus update/upgrade for the coming year.  That's why you beat me in here, Tom.

I've got about half our Christmas cards addressed. Hopefully, I'll get them finished today, and tomorrow afternoon, will trek to the P.O. to get Christmas stamps and mail them out.

Everyone have a good morning, keep warm, take care, and I'll see you all later.

Mornin' glory. How yall is? 26 and clear in Carolina an hour and a half before sunrise. expected to go to 49 later. Help yourselves to the buffet and enjoy yourselves with the standard fare. Of course, there are soft drinks and other stuff in the fountain area.

The thunderchickens are headed right back to the Georgia Dome to play FSU in the Chic Fil-A bowl. I dunno about a chicken eating bowl for thunderchickens, but we shall see.

Have a great day

Randy - every time I cook pasta, I tend to over do it a little.  So yeah, I probably know how much pasta that is.

Looks like Auburn did themselves proud.  And the Ducks, too!  I like the Ducks until such time as we play them!  Yes

Yes, the Kitticats should feast on Duck next month. I won't speak of the various trophies that the Kitticats has have won so far this year.Smile

We still have bad air in the valley, and a fog settled in this afternoon.

Q, I am a cold weather person and it's fine with me if it cools down a bt, so long as it doesn't forget to warm back up after a while.  As far as snow goes, enuff to cover the grass a few times a year would be nice. We hardly ever see the stuff!

Greetings and peace be with you. At present, 44 degrees and cloudy in Carolina expected to drop to 22 overnight. I slept in late and then got on the wireless for a while. Not a whole lot of stuff happening to report on. USC gave the thunderchickens a rousing welcome when they got back last night, and despite yesterday's debacle, consider this season a roaring success. Carolina is known for having lackluster football teams, but it looks like we had a good one this go round.

Everyone have a great week and take care.

Randy, making it A-OK?  Watch out for those other drivers!  I know you'll be careful, though.

Been to the grocery, and taking a break from addressing Christmas cards.  It wouldn't feel so bad out, if the wind weren't blowing like crazy.  Feels like the upper teens out to me:  just came in from setting out the recycling for Monday pickup.

Roast, taters, carrots, slaw, tossed salad and nice, hot buttermilk biscuits straight out of the oven are on the serving station.

Dessert tonight:  dark chocolate cake w/white icing and apple cobbler.  (Ice cream is in the freezer, if'n anyone wants their cake or cobbler ala mode.)

You all enjoy, have a very good evening, keep warm and take care.

I think Willy's crew at Weatherliar U found and got the double overdrive working on the snow machine, heard a report of Buffalo getting four feet of snow since Wednesday.  Killed one of our normal backhauls out of Niagra Falls, so had to do a broker load, which was interesting (ever wonder what 42,000lb of pasta looks like? I now know...).

Down in Cartersville, GA today, waiting on a glass load to be loaded to head norrth, by that time, the snow should be done falling for a while.

See everyone later....

Looks like our take on yesterday's snow is about 2.5" here.  overcast still this morning, and earlier it indicated we had 28 degrees.  Doubt if it "warms up" much today.

This coming week is to be rather cold, and on down to the deep south too.

Right now, just very light snow flurries.  Big Low system up in the upper Great Lakes keep rotating down over the  G L's and bringing some lake effect to northeastern Indiana.

Our objective in the next hour is to make it to church.  Put the sand bag weights {140 lbs}, in the back of my little truck this morning, and I suppose they will stay in there for the Winter.  Has posi-traction which helps a bit.

The Lexus which we usually drive to church {and it's the one with AWD too}, but we'll leave it in the garage.

So we hope those going out will be careful and make it to church or wherever they will be heading....

Good Sunday morning everyone.  Current temp here in Louisville this morning ranging from 27 to 31 degrees, depending on where you live in the Metro area.  A little bit of light snow coming down, also.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot cider and hot water for coffee are fresh and ready to go.  On the serving station this morning:  bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, bagels, bear claws.

Not sure what time Sarah got called out (she was home when I went to bed after 10:30; woke up at 4:15 and she was gone.  She went to her fire department's Christmas dinner/party last night.  Walt and I didn't go this time (we usually do go with her, as we are always invited.)    Neither one of us felt like going last night.  I just didn't want to get out in the cold and snow.

I've got some roast, taters and carrots going in a couple of large Crock Pots for our Sunday Dinner.  Of course, there will be a few other side dishes to go along with it.

Hope everyone has a good morning, those going to Church, work, or railfanning, please be careful.  Take care, you all, and I'll see you later.

Today is the day that the Thunderchickens take on the Auburn kittiekats for the SEC title. About half of SC seems to be in Atlanta to be close to the action.

Sorry, Tom.Sad

Back 57 years ago, my high school football team was the Upper State champion in Class C. We had high hopes for the state title, but Johns Island had the better team: 32-0. Our superintendent (father of our quarterback) had scouted Johns Island, and he told our coach/principal that we did not have a chance; of course, the team was not so informed until after the game.

Well, it appears that Col Sanders got into the Thunderchickens chicken house

Temp is around 33 degrees here in Louisville.  A little bit of white covering the ground here.  Roads and shaded areas of sidewalks just wet.

Here is our Saturday Night Pizza Fest menu:

1.  Anchovie

2.  Cheese

3.  Chicago style

4.  Goetta

5.  Hawaiian

6.  Italian sausage

7.  Pepperoni/mushroom

8.  Supreme

Desserts tonight:  chocolate pie, chocolate cake w/white icing and yellow cake w/chocolate icing.

Maybe later on, if enough are in here, we'll pop some popcorn, and have that and hot chocolate.

Everyone have a good evening, take care and see you all later.

Good morning from Carolina. Breakfast is on the buffet bar and Juices/soft drinks are at the fountain. Help yourselves.

Today is the day that the Thunderchickens take on the Auburn kittiekats for the SEC title. About half of SC seems to be in Atlanta to be close to the action.

Partly clear and 36, headed for 55 and a chance of rain later.

Take care.

Good morning from Utah; it's a bit cloudy this morning; I have not been out since bringing the paper in, so outside temperatures are not bothering me. We did not get any rain at all yesterday, much less any freezing reain. Instead, we have high atmospheric pressure, which keeps all the emissions in the valley. Blahh!

Yes, today is the day the Auburn kittiekats (who have taken care of two packs of Bulldogs, one flock of chickens, one sackful of Wildcats, one herd of Razorback Hogs, one pack (plus a non-conference pack) of Tigers, a bunch of Rebels, and a rolling Tide) meet the Bantams again. Smile

Good Saturday morning, and Tom, thanks for taking care of breakfast this morning!

Mookie and Tom, I'm feeling a little bit better this morning.  Moving around a little bit better, too.

We currently have 33 degrees and light snow falling.  Beginning to accumulate on the grassy areas.  Streets are just looking wet, so far.  We are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 7:30 p.m. tonight.  Some areas around our vicinity may see 1 to 3 inches, but here in the downtown area, probably no more than an inch at most.  It'll be a good day to stay inside.  South of Louisville will be mostly rain.

Did a little bit of my Christmas shopping yesterday evening online.  Two things coming from LL Bean.  Still need to find Walt's Christmas present.  Sarah and I are going in together to get something for him, and we need to go visit two or three electronics places, when she gets a little bit of time off from the RR.

Everyone have a good morning, keep warm and drive safely, watching out for the other nincompoops driving around.  Take care and see you all this evening for our pizza fest.
