Good Monday morning everyone.  And Happy Bithday wishes going out to bubbajustin and to Deggesty (Johnny) this morning! Happy B-Day Happy B-Day Happy B-Day Happy B-Day  Hope you both have a very good day today, and wish you both many, many happy returns for today!

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot cider and hot water for tea are ready to go.  On the serving station this morning:  turkey bacon, scrambled eggs and pancakes, along with Mookie's bagels and Larry's bear claws.

Our current temp is 19 degrees, but feels like about -5 degrees outside.  Depending on where you live in our area, snow accumulations range from the projected 1 to 3 inches.  Winds have been gusting up to 31 mph. (that's the last I heard).

Everyone have a very good day, stay inside and keep warm if you can, and take care.  And let us all remember Tom in our thoughts today.

Thanks all for the birthday wishes, am now 31, and found out last night while listening to the old time radio channel that I share a birthday with Frank Sinatra.  Eight more years, and I can start pulling the Jack Benny '39' routine.......

36 years ago tomorrow, when I reached Jack Benny's age, I thought that I would be able to comment that I was as old as he. And then he died, 13 days later. I did not get to hear many of his programs, but I enjoyed those that I did hear; he was quite different from other people in show business.

The thermometer here got up into the fifties today, with no rain. It may be that I will be able to finish mulching my maple leaves this week, and I will put the lawn mower where the snow thrower is, and put the snow thrower where the lawn mower is and then will be able to get it out when we have enough snow for it to throw (and we may not have another such snow this winter).

Happy birthday, Randy!Happy B-Day

Randy, your request is granted:

1.  Vegetable beef soup w/cornbread or crackers

2.  Chili (mild today, with the 'hot stuff' on the side, for anyone who wants their chili hotter, at least spice wise)

The first round of pies are also on the serving station.  (And if anyone wants ala mode today, there's plenty of different flavors of ice cream in the freezer.)

We currently have 25 degrees, with light snow falling, and winds are from the WNW.  Still under the Weather Advisory until 1 p.m. tomorrow.

Everyone take care, have a good afternoon, and stay inside, if you can, where you can keep warm.

Randy - you can always do anniversaries - like the second anniversary of turning 29....

Rain this morning, including some freezing.  Got 2/3 inch of rain so far, but the temps are now up in the low 40's, so things aren't as bad as they could be.

Fire Department breakfast this AM went pretty well - perhaps even better than expected.  We ran out of eggs.

Now it's off to other projects!  (Or maybe a nap.)

Our church in Joy is open today, but roads between Aledo & Joy are dangerous. We are staying home & keeping warm. My bird-feeders were clogged up with the freezing rain. OK now.  I see lots of Juncos today.

Dark and overcast, and 26 degrees.....The terrible nasty stuff is going above us, but we're going to see some "wraparound" from it as the Low moves northeast.

Now, expecting several inches as per the latest forecast.

Colder temps on the way too, but the unfortunate folks north of us are really getting it.

Good Sunday morning everyone.  Our current temp is about 28 degrees or so, and no snow at the present time.  Have had a little bit overnight; supposed to start up again, probably around 9 a.m.  Still calling for 1 to 3 inches for our immediate area.  Temps will be dropping throughout the day.

Coffee, juice and other morning beverages are freshly made and ready to go.  On the serving station this morning:  cold pizza, bagels, bear claws, turkey bacon, sausage links/patties for those who can have the pork, scrambled eggs, toast, oatmeal.

Tom, hope everything goes well for you tomorrow!  Will be praying and thinking of you.

Everyone have a safe trip to Church, work, or whatever you have to do this morning.  Please take care, and Brian, heard on the news this morning, of the white out conditions in Iowa.  How are you and Joanie doing this morning?

Ray, how about where you are, up there in Sioux Falls?

Everyone up in the Dakotas and Minneapolis/St. Paul areas take care and try to stay inside, if you can.

We are just getting light rain.  It started right about 1:30 this afternoon.

Here is our Saturday Night Pizza Fest menu:

1.  Anchovie

2.  Canadian Bacon

3.  Cheese

4.  Chicago style

5.  Goetta

6.  Hawaiian

7.  Italian Sausage

8.  Pepperoni/mushroom

9.  Supreme

Later on this evening, maybe we'll pop some popcorn and have some hot chocolate or hot cider with the popcorn.  How's that sound, you all?

Minnesota and Iowa have been hit hard with this regional snow storm as well. I have heard that the plows are not moving at all in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area where my brother Bill lives. Meanwhile, I-29 between Sioux Falls and the Iowa state border has been shut down entirely, and in both directions.

Good Morning Everyone.

Currently 72 and sunny here in Alamo City.  We are very dry however, and could stand to have some rain...unfortunately thats not in the forcast for the next week or so.  Happens every time we are in a La Ninja weather pattern.  All the storms pass to the north of us.

I've been listening to WCCO radio on the internet.  It is sure a mess up in the Twin Cities.

Be careful if you have to venture out in the cold and snow.

Enjoy your Saturday.

....Sunshine earlier this morning.  Overcast now.  Temp. now, above freezing and the last of our snow is leaving.

But....I hear talk of one to two inches overnight, and maybe some snow activity tomorrow....and....much colder.  Believe it said 9 degrees for tomorrow morning.  That will be quite a change...Again.

Good morning! Joe, thanks for fixing breakfast for the rest of us.

I got out of bed within the last half hour and we have received our first major snow storm here, we were told that we would get anywhere between 1 and 4 inches of snow out of it, but with the way the wind is blowing it around, it's hard to tell how much we've gotten so far. I am guessing 2 inches. And it is COLD here, 10 degrees with a wind chill factor of -5.

This is one of them days where a guy like me isn't wanting to go anywhere, but stay home and catch up on some reading and maybe watching some RR DVD's.

Morning, and peace be wth you.  38 and beginning to rain in Carolina as I write this. It is only supposed to make it up to 44 today, so it is a good day for sleeping. So, with that as the plan of the day, sweet dreams everybody.

Good Saturday morning everyone.  Joe, thanks for fixing breakfast this morning, and getting the coffee and rest of morning beverages ready!

We currently have 39 degrees (was 38 when I awoke at 5:20), rain not supposed to be in until around 2 p.m.  They're (meteorologists) are still calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow for us between tomorrow and Monday morning.

Everyone have a very good day, and I'll see you all back here this evening for our pizza fest.  Take care.

Evening all.  Been a busy, busy afternoon.  Just now getting back on the computer, since this morning.

Have some turkey, ham, roast beef and Italian sub sandwiches on the serving station.

Tom, when I had my knee surgery, some of that pre-op stuff I had to go to the medical building, but for the pre-registration, they called me and took all my info that way.  Much better IMHO, and less time consuming!

I think our rain is supposed to start sometime after midnight, and then probably after midnight tomorrow night, is when the rain will switch to snow.  Still calling for 1 to 3 inches for us; just north and northeast of us, will likely see 1 to 4 inches.

Everyone have a good evening, take care and see you all in the morning.

Spent most of the day getting pre-opped and registered. The procedure will likely take under an hour, and everything leading up to it killed an entire afternoon. Go figure

Good Friday morning everyone.  Tom, our thoughts and prayers will be with you, especially come Monday morning.  Take care, will ya?

Larry, congratulations Thumbs Up on receiving your student engineer card!

Currently we have 40 degrees this morning, going for a high between 45 and 50 for today.  But rain for tomorrow, and snow for Sunday.  Prediction so far is 1 to 4 inches by Monday, with a few flurries left over.  Guess we'll see what we end up with.  And most of that will probably be to our north.

Coffee, juice, hot cider, hot chocolate, etc. are fresh and ready to go.

On the serving station this morning:  turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, bagels and bear claws. (My breakfast will be a bowl of cereal.)

Everyone have a good morning, keep safe, take care and I'll see you all later.
