......I'll check in...

No news....Have been house bound now for several days.....Unusual terrible congestive cold.

But here in Indiana today, we have clear blue sky and just light wind.  Must get well to run over the lawn for mowing / mulching leaves....

Looks like a rather dry week facing us here.

Well, I felt a move was warranted. We had 70 pages already and two months may have put us close to 100 and that could have got the admin attention.

CW has some appointments today and will be late getting here, but knowing the boss, she will turn up.

Got a tree man doing his thing in the back yard, and finally will get my oak trimmed along with a rotatable antenna unhung. Be nice to have it working again. Also, gonna get the front fence accessible once again.

Everyone take care and have a great day

Hmm, I thought we had an agreement on our lease for the "Flat Wheel Cafe" until the end of the year; guess I was wrong. (wish you would tell my back that!)(moving that "O" Scale layout takes some work!!)

Bob, apparently you didn't see yesterdays comment that I made, CW will be lucky to make it in today, she had a meeting to go to, and will be lucky to make it back by mid afternoon.

Mookie, this meeting, they didn't even provide anything to drink (and with the very cool breeze this morning, could have used some coffee or hot chocolate), much less anything to eat!  Have to go back 11/18/10, to finish up.

Joe, beef stew sounds really good, and that is what we have here in the Flat Wheel Cafe/Diner/CS this afternoon/evening:

1.  Beef stew w/baked cornbread

2.  Grilled boneless, skinless chicken breasts w/mashed taters, milk gravy, baby veggie medley, and made from scratch buttermilk biscuits.

Now, in the morning, I have to contend with Produce and possibly Bread truck(?), then Walt and I will, I guess, go cast our votes.  Quite frankly, I'm beginning to feel like we should let them know we are tired of their idiotic ways, and not vote for any of them:  fire them all, and start over from scratch!!

Just made up some homemade brownies, and they are in the oven.  Will be ready to eat in about a half hour.

Everyone enjoy what is left of your afternoon, take care, and see you all later.

Good Tuesday morning everyone.  I hope you all had a good evening.  Well, it looks like the Giants won the World Series last night.  At least that's what I heard on the TV this morning.  We didn't watch any of the series this year.  Didn't want to jinx the National League.  Looks like that was a good decision on my part, at least.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  Regular breakfast items are on the warmer/serving station.

Everyone, remember to vote today.  We'll be going to vote sometime this afternoon, after I get through with Produce this morning.

We have a current temp of 44 degrees this morning, with fair skies.  Supposed to be a nice sunny day, with a temp topping out in the low to mid 50s for our area.

Everyone have a good morning, and take care.

Sup ya'll!  Been busy as usual runnin' around the world fixin' planes and such, but thought this chilly mornin' could use some warmin' up.  Got my boat all winterized yesterday, and decided to get some pictures posted from the last time I went out in September.

Good morning all. 47 and cloiudy at present, calling for rain later today. We voted absentee last week, so don't have to fight the lines, which is most welcome.

When the tree man got my rotatable antenna free yesterday, I had an enjoyable afternoon on the wireless. Right now, I have a headache, but when that subsides, gonna see what's out there today....

Paula, thanks for breakfast and everyone have a great day

Welcome back, Adrian!  It's good to have you back with us.  Hope we get to see you a little bit more often.

Produce went pretty well this morning.  No bread truck today, though.  I didn't bring anything home today, as I didn't need anything that they delivered today:  potatoes, lettuce, yellow  goose neck squash and something else, can't remember what it was, though.

As soon as Sarah gets home from Jujitsu, we'll be going to cast our votes.  Just came in from outside, and it is still pretty chilly out.  If the breeze out die down, it would feel better out.

Our Tuesday Mexican Fiesta is now on the serving station:  burritos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, Spanish rice, tortilla chips and dips.

Cannonball, please tell Shirl "Happy Belated Birthday" for us.  I forgot yesterday was her birthday.  I hope she enjoyed it and had a good day.

You all have a good afternoon, take care and I'll see you all later.

Go Air Force!

Sunny and cool here today - key word sunny.  We'll take it after the past week or so of scattered you-name-it.

Hot projects - gotta get back to work.  Only got on line to figure out the magnetic declination here so I can properly orient the anemometer/wind vane on the weather station we're installing at the fire station.  It's 12°59'.

Ever onward.

Heck, I was in the Air Force, and I've got a Shellback card...

Of no particular importance -

One thing I almost always do when I attend train shows is buy "people."  Just one package per show.  While looking for something else today in the model railroad workshop, it occured to me to gather all of them together (they're still in their packages) and do a census.

The population of the area served by my model railroad is 431.  That doesn't count the bears (5), stags (5), pesky raccoons (2), dogs (15), or cats (1).  Or what I buy when I go to the Syracuse show this weekend.

It appears that horseshoes is a popular past-time in the area, though, as I have three packages of horseshoe players...

Good Wednesday morning everyone.  Well, it looks like we have an opthalmologist as our State Senator this morning.  I haven't totally looked at the winners list, but so far, not one person I voted for won yesterday.  Oh well, better luck next time.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  Mookie, here's your coffee mug!  I think we'll just sit inside the Cafe, and sit by the window to watch our trains go by this morning.  (With a head cold, I'm not particularly interested in being outside too much.)

On the serving station this morning:  bagels, bear claws, turkey bacon, pork sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, toast, sausage gravy.

Guess in a couple of hours, I'll get the bills paid for this month, and see if I have anything left to get Walt's birthday present for Monday, other than his Trains Magazine  subscription that I'll be renewing for him, that is.

Everyone have a good morning, and I'll be over in my rocker by the window.

My home state has elected a new governor - a Republican, and we also have a new state representative, also a Republican.

I am going to have french toast and a few slices of bacon for breakfast this morning, but I have to wash dishes first. I've got a pound of ground beef in my fridge thawing out, and I am thinking about making a pot of chili with it.

I'm hoping the rest of you will all have a good day!

Top of the morning to ye. 51 and cloudy in Carolina with rain later. Paula, usually I'm in your boat, but somebody I voted for actually won yesterday. My cousin, Joe Wilson (you lie) held his congressional seat and his son, Alan Wilson is our new Attorney General.  All told, at the state and federal level, the only Dem is Jim Clyburn. Even 16 termer John Spratt got beat.

Thanks for breakfast, and everyone have a great day

My, we've had a busy day around the house today.  Got the bills paid, and even went and did a little grocery shopping.  Got a turkey, and it is in the freezer, waiting for Thanksgiving Day.

Here is our menu for tonight:

1.  Your choice of T-bone or New York Strip steak

2.  Pulled pork w/grilled shrimp

3.  Country fried chicken

4.  Sirloin beef tips

Here is the selection of side dishes:

1.  Baked potato, Caesar salad, mashed taters, apple sauce, seasoned rice, green beans and steak fries

Desserts:

1.  Apple pie

2.  Strawberry cheese cake

3.  Brownies

Everyone enjoy, have a good evening and take care.

MC - I've got two packages of gandy dancers (12 workers).  The only "person" who looks like a surveyor is in the road workers set, and we know where that can lead us...

Been working on a project for the fire station - new antenna for one of the radios and a weather station.  Both have to go up on the 50' tower and I'm not climbing that.  I'm not afraid of the height - I just don't think the tower would be up to it.

Fortunately, the town highway department has a man lift and they'll be in town with it in the next week or two, so we'll be able to get the stuff installed on the tower.

The antenna is done and tested (a "j-pole" - which looks like it'll work well and was easy to build out of copper pipe), and the weather station is "in the mail."  Still have to work out the mounts for that.

Good Thursday morning everyone.  Cool, with a current temp of 46 degrees at 6:21 a.m.  It's going to be a very cool and windy day, with a cold front coming in later this afternoon.  Overnight and tomorrow, we may see some snow flurries, not supposed to be any accumulation, as the ground temp is too warm.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  On the serving station this morning:  bagels, bear claws, turkey bacon, pork sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits & sausage gravy, and there's some cereal, if anyone just wants a bowl of cereal this morning.

I can tell that our weather is going to be changing:  my left knee is letting me know this morning, it does not like the weather we're about to get.  It is hurting like crazy.

Everyone have a good morning, take care and see you all later.
