....Ryan, have been looking in the Atlas to see just where Wake Forest is located.  From what I see, I've probably been thru there many years ago...before Interstates, on rt. 1 headed to Raleigh.

Morning folks!

A couple sausage biscuits for me please! Fish fry sounded good last night, sorry I missed it!

Well, the warm front is supposed to bring temps to the upper 40's today. (Laughing as he pours another cup of coffee) But hey, at least the below freezing temps at night are over for a few days.

Good morning everyone. (Grabs big mug of hot tea and a big bowl of oatmeal).

Gawd, my backyard is officially a mess. Dead [xx(] I just looked at the damage to the fencing and we will have to replace both the back fence and one side fence--the wind damage was quite severe. Sad [:(]

....Our weather projections are very similar to your's Joe....and it's 37.8 degrees right now with wind.  I believe Muncie would be a good place to erect some of those wind mill towers to produce electricity.  Snow is melting...much bare spots on the ground now.  Should get rid of most of it today.  Skies are gray...Looks like a typical January day.

Our home area of Pennsylvania has accumumated quite a few dozen of those power producing wind mills now and believe there will be more.  Wind power working for us, why not....sounds sensible to me.

Good Saturday morning! It's going to be a wet day around here:  we're getting light rain, but at least the temps are warmer this morning.  Temps are in the low 40s going to about 48 by 5 p.m.

Joe, thanks for getting breakfast/Saturday morning brunch this morning!  Hope you all have a good, happy, and SAFE day today, and I'll see you all back in here for our SATURDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST.

Ms Mook - it always tickled me to see the young ladies at our community college when they were dressed up for some reason (jeans and sneakers being the normal garb) and wearing heels.  Most of them were tilted forward, like they were leaning into the wind...

At 12:03, it's 38 degrees here in Louisville w/plenty of sunshine, and breezy.  They're looking for a high of about 43 for today.

Friday Fish Fry is now on the warmer bar, and fries and hushpuppies are ready to come out of the fryers.  Cole slaw, garden salads in the cooler.

Desserts today:  chocolate cake w/chocolate icing, yellow cake w/caramel icing, white cake w/vanilla icing, and the following pies:  chocolate, apple, blackberry, peach, cherry and pecan.

Mookie, know you won't mind working all day on Fridays.    And speaking of three inch heels, the highest one I ever wore were 2 1/2 in.  And when they got to be over $150 per pair, I decided to go back to flats and and the children's section in the shoe department!!  Could you imagine what a pair of size 2 heels, made in Italy, would cost nowadays?!?!

....Now that is a bit strange....Warmer up here in Indiana than down in the Carolina's....We had 23 earlier and now it's 27.3 with bright sunshine meaning we will get warmer today.  Do have a bit of wind out there this morning.

Good morning everyone. (grabs big mug of coffee and a few bear claws)

It's really windy and rainy outside as I type this. Shock [:O] We've had wind gusts up to 50 mph so far and will stay that way until at least lunch time. Sad [:(]

Good morning Americans, it's Friday and cold in Carolina. 17 deg at present. Absolutely no problem getting the girls back in. Actually, I thought they were gonna tear the door down. CW, I'll take a plate of whatever is warm, with my thanks. Ta

C W - My boss comes in after I do and sometimes leaves before I do, so it makes it a little less restricted.  Besides everyone knows I like my job, so they pay no attention to my comings and goings.

We had a change at the top, so will probably work all summer like normal people.  Going to become more like the rest of the world, which doesn't bother me in the least.

Warmer weather for the weekend and I will make sure that we spread this all around.  Paper predicts we will have a hotter than usual summer - pick your poison - bake or freeze.

Saw 2 NS engines on point last nite - along with a KCS, Ferro-Mex and BNSF headed to KC.  Didn't have that much freight, so figure a couple of them were here for maintenance and were going "home".  That was like going to a carnival - to see the different lines all at once.  And I love the NS horns.  They are mellow.....

Good Friday morning, folks!  Thanks for the info, Larry;  guess I'll have to start looking around for one of those plaques.  Maybe at a Peddlar's Mall.

Coffee, fresh oj/oj/tangerine and grape juice, hot chocolate, hot tea, hot cider are ready;  and on the warmer bar:  turkey bacon, sausage, oatmeal, toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, homemade buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy, bagels and bear claws, all nice and warm, waiting for everyone.

Mookie, have your coffee mug down, w/coffee in it, all ready for you!  Are you still working full days on Friday, or is that just in the summer?  Can't remember how that works for you.

Hope everyone has a great morning, and I'll see ya later.

I don't recall where we found that plaque - probably in a souvenier shop somewhere.

Still above zero, but not by much.  Hoping for nice weather on Saturday, as daughter and SIL are coming up for lunch and a visit (daughter hasn't seen her Dal in a while).  Meantime I'm still working on making the house presentable.

As an advance notice, Barbequed Chicken on March 16th - our annual fire department "St Patrick's Day" Chicken Barbeque.

Now, where's that broom?

Joe, glad to know no one died in the explosion, and that everyone is back home!

Larry, gonna have to find me one of the plaques for home.

Next round of beef stew, cornbread, and vegetable beef soup are on the warmer bar.  Joe and Lance, containers are ready and in the cooler for you two for work tonight.  You all have a great evening, and talk with you later!

I am expecting a whole new wardrobe by next winter.   And I may never have to actually learn to knit!  Evil [}:)]

Larry, how about "semi clean and liveable"?  Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Everyone has the following choices for lunch/supper today:

1.  leftover vegetable beef soup

2.  beef stew

Plus cornbread to have with either the soup or the stew.

Geting ready to go to the grocery in a little bit, to get something for our supper here at home tonight.  Thinking about some hamburger and Betty Crocker Hamburger Helper.  That'll last us for a couple of days.  Currently up to 22 degrees outside.  Still brrrrrrrrrr!!

Whew!  Heat wave!  All the way up to -5 from a low (around 8AM) of -17.  Fortunately, it doesn't appear the wind was as much of a factor as originally forecast.  Still, the furnace is currently spending more time on than off.

Oatmeal, hot chocolate.  Time for tea later.  More housecleaning to do.  Company Saturday.  I live alone (with the two pups) so "clean & liveable" is more important than "immaculate..."

Good morning folks!

I think I'll help my self to a bowl of that hot oatmeal with some butter melted on top, a few raisins and some brown sugar too! Thanks CW!

Speaking of cold weather, the ole mercury was showing 19 degrees in the back yard just before sun up this morning. Nothing like seeing the sun rise on a cold crisp morning. This oatmeal is warming me up now!

See you all later,
