Good morning everyone. (Grabs big mug of hot coffee and a cinnamon roll)

Can we have Sloppy Joe sandwiches made for lunch? I haven't eaten these things in years.

Good Sunday morning to all!  Joe, you're welcome about the pizzas last night.  Guess we'll have cold pizza for breakfast this morning, along with some turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes and waffles.  We also have fresh baked cinnamon rolls this morning.

Coffee, hot chocolate, hot cider, and hot tea are ready for this morning, and there's fresh oj, oj/tangerine, pineapple and apple juice, all ready and in the cooler.

Our temp this morning is right at 32 degrees, and should get up to a high in the low 40s by about 4 p.m.  So, if you're getting out this morning, to go to Church services, be sure you bundle up.  (I know there are some of you who have cooler temps than we do here this morning!)

Do I have any requests for lunch today, or would you like sandwiches, like sloppy joes, burgers, hot dogs, etc.?

Good Saturday morning, everyone!  We have a morning temp of about 35 degrees this morning; can't remember right now what our high today will get up to.  But know it'll be cold!

Joe, thanks for making the coffee, juice and rolls this morning!!  Already have my coffee, and think I'll get some hot chocolate in a little bit.

I have a question for all of you:  Tonight, would you prefer a big ole pot of chili, or do you want to have our regular Saturday Night Pizza Fest?

Hope you all have a great day, and take care.  See you all later!

Never mind lunch - chili sounds good for supper.  Shredded cheese is always a plus, but I'm fond of French or Italian bread with chili.  Hope there's a pot of 'mild.'  Not fond of the stuff that sets your hair afire.

Hey Bob, that chili sounds like the ticket for me! Plenty of crackers too please!

And CW, looking forward to that fish fry too! I'll make some tarter and cocktail sauces to go along with it! Chef [C=:-)]

Cheers,

Bob, that chili sounds good (minus the sour cream, though, for me).  We also like the Ritz Whole Wheat crackers around here, along with whole wheat bread.  You may be getting snow, snow, snow; but we're getting rain, rain, rain here.  Sure makes for a dreary and gloomy day.

I've got the FRIDAY FISH FRY ready and on the warmer bar:  fish are cod, perch, hallibut and flounder, along with fries, hushpuppies, and in the cooler:  cole slaw.  Desserts today:  apple, cherry, peach and pecan pies.

Whether you're getting rain or snow, try to stay as dry, warm and safe if you have to go outside.

I put on a big pot of chili for lunch today along with sour cream, diced onions and 2 kinds of shredded cheese. Lot of crackers, (my favorite is Ritz Whole Wheat). Snow Snow Snow. 'Tis the season.

Good Friday morning, to all!  We're at 41 degrees this morning, with rain coming in from the Missouri area later on today.  May possibly have some heavy rain w/thunder somewhere around 3, 4 p.m.  High today is to be in the 50s, going down to 30 degrees by tomorrow morning.

Coffee, cider, hot chocolate, hot tea and the fresh juices are ready this morning.  On the warmer bar, you'll find turkey bacon, sausage, pancakes and scrambled eggs.  And, also have bagels and bear claws, as usual.

Hope you all have a good morning, and I'll see you after awhile.

CW, thanks for the pepperoni/sausage/mushroom. It is always great, and I tried the anchovy for the first time. I will be back. I am pleased to hear that the quack visit went well and you don't have to go back for a spell. I talked for a while this afternoon with a nice guy about medical insurance. It sounded great until I called all my quacks plus a few, and none of them accept it. One went so far as to tell me to stay away from that company. I guess that's that..... 55 degrees in Carolina at present. CW, stay tuned, I will be back shortly for more of that anchovy.....

SilverSpike, welcome back to the Diner/Coffee Shop.  We're always glad to see former patrons back in here.

On our THURSDAY PIZZA FEST menu tonight:

1.  Anchovie (Jay, are you in tonight?)
2.  Hawaiian
3.  Pepperoni/sausage/mushroom
4.  Supreme
5.  Calzones

Getting ready to take the first five kinds out of the oven (thanks again, Dan, for that big industrial size oven, with all that space!)  It sure does come in handy around here!!

Joe, have an assortment made up for you and Lance for work tonight.

Hope everyone has a great evening, and take care!!

Been awhile since I stopped in the Coffee Shop on this side of the tracks.....errr.....Trains Mag that is! I frequent the Model Railroader side more often than not!

Reason I'm over here today is I picked up the Trains Magazine special collector's edition when I saw the beautiful Tuxedo NS F's on the cover, I just had to get it!

So I been lurking around the Trains Mag forum for a little bit and though I would drop in and say Hello!

Hey CW - nice to see you are still providing the meals from the back of the house. Chef [C=:-)] I'll be ready for some of those pizzas at around 1800 like you said....thanks!

And for all you Southern Railway fans, here is my YouTube video link to my Southern #6133 FP-7 locomotive cab ride at the NC Transportation Museum back in May!

Mudchicken, bet that is making for some interesting traffic situations!  Maybe you could call our Metro government, and ask the mayor to send some of his brine solution your way.  Laugh [(-D]

Joe, thanks for taking care of lunch for me today!  Well, dr. appointment went very well.  I walked around for him, and his only suggestion was that I get some arch supports for my shoes.  He said I was very flat footed.  He also poked around the knee, moved in just about every conceivable position, and said it's doing well.  Matter of fact, I don't have to go back to him until September 17, 2008, the one year anniversary of my surgery.

Getting ready to start preparing the pizzas for tonight.  I'll only make three or four different kinds, and only two extra large of those.  So, they should be out of the oven right around 6, 6:30.

Dan, welcome back, and glad you had a nice time with your family and friends.

Thought I'd check in since it's been a while.

We're supposed to get 6" of snow tomorrow but we'll see what we get.  Last week Sunday was fun!  We had blowing and drifting snow at night.  I am used to driving in snow (~20 years worth) and know how to take drifts at speed.  We hit a couple of 3' drifts at 45 mph.  Apparently I should have warned her at the first one...hehe!  She got over it and I can now sleep in the house again!  Kidding...

Christmas was too good to me in my opinion, but I did get to spend time with lots of family and friends so it's an even trade.  I'll take some cider and a cookie and lurk for a bit.

You can have our rain, since they are telling us it will be freezing rain.  Not much, though, and it will change over to snow later, if just an inch.

I may be on vacation, but it's time to get caught up on all the housecleaning I didn't get done last summer while I was playing on the railroad...

I'll gladly take some of the "White Stuff" down here. Any kind of precipitation will do since this is GA's driest year since 1954. Shock [:O]

Good Thursday morning, everyone!  We did manage to get some rain overnight, and it's already started moving east of us.  Hope you all had a good evening, and are ready for a brand new day.  Coffee, juice and hot chocolate are ready, as is hot tea.

On the warmer bar is all the regular breakfast menu items, along with some fresh cantaloupe and pineapple.

One of you will have to take charge of lunch today:  I go back to the surgeon for another post op visit.  I probably won't be home until after 1 p.m.  So, could one or two of you take over for this afternoon?  And after I get home, I'll come in and fix the pizzas for Thursday night pizza fest.

You all have a good morning, and see ya later.
