It is 67 degrees and is going to be hot and sunny in Ohio today. This is not fall!
I'm off to pick up Wes at the local saloon in North Columbus. We're heading to the great northern part of the Buckeye state to meet up with the other thousands of OTTS members at the great Berea Train Show.

Hey - why doesn't Lionel add a Halloween or Transylvania Trolley?!
Jim, I know this is several days old but it kinda got me to thinkin', OK I know it's a new experience (). I wonder if the RS sound chips for the Phantom Series loco's are available anywhere, those would be cool sounds for a halloween loco, or better yet re-issue a Phantom engine in halloween colors.

Good evening everyone. Seems we have a lot of prayers to send out.
Mitch, glad everything went well with your mom. University is a nice hospital with some good folks. I used to date a nurse there and know some folks from the Heart team. Be prepared as she will have to take it easy for the next 6 weeks or so and then, will have to do limited motion, stress, etc. for a while after that. Also, not uncommon for them to have memory problems for a little while till the body absorbs all the extra fluid.
Marty, how is your wife doing? Have not heard any updates since she got home that first week. Hope she is well and that you get some time at home soon.
Been a long crazy day. Had some big cases and then a production meeting for the new movie that I was late getting to. Fortunately, the hospital has given the church a house across from the hospital to use as the production office and I was able to run over to the meeting once I finished the last case.
Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend.
God Bless,
Dennis
PS: Jim A, I think I will have an extra copy of the two videos on the F3s and trainmasters. If so, I will send you the extras.

Jumijo wrote:Brutus, which book did you lose out on?
Jim - it was an OOP Harris publication TPB - Vampirella Crimson Chronicles Vol 1. These are the old B&W comics from when I was a kid. I had a few of these comic books, but they are long gone. They released the first 40 issues in 4 volumes a few years ago. I have Vol 2, 3 and 4 now. Just need Vol 1 to complete the collection!

Jim,
The only other steamer that I have that is mechanically similar to the 2055 is a 2037. How does the 2055 compare to the 2037? Is it a better runner?
Jim, I bought my 2055 on Ebay as well. I don't remember what I paid for it, but I love it. I have that, 2 2056s, a 2018(?), 2025, 2037, 2034, 736. The Prairies are ok, but the Hudsons I really like. Same with the Berk. A heavy monster that runs silky smooth.
I think you will like the 2055. It's a little smaller than a 2046/56, but they pull well.
Jumijo wrote:Loaded with post war you say? My kind of place, and I've met an aweful lot of nice people from PA.
When I say loaded, I mean loaded. Lots of nice stuff in the cases in the main room and there is another small room that is packed. Burro cranes, mechandise cars, cattle cars, 153 block signals and much much more. I was there twice this week, and I saw that he had a nice 2055 for $140. Was going to go back for it today until I bought one off ebay for $110. He has a nice selection of modern era Lionel and MTH. The owner mainly sells vacuum cleaners, but he branched out into trains and seems to be doing well. I'll go back once I get more money.

Nice area.
I pray for your family, Mitch- hang in there and God bless you and your mom esp!
Fife, I don't have a kilt, but if I ever get one, I'll be sure to send you a special picture! Somewhere around here I have a picture of my ancestors' pattern (through my great grandma on my dad's side). I've got to get up early tomorrow and drive over to friends, then we're all going together (John and his wife and baby and I) to the Scottish Festival at Forest Park. Everybody else is in swim practice or something else has come up. We'll have fun anyway.
Some dingleberry outbid me on my other book I wanted on ebay while I was at work. Can't do ebay or check home email at work, so there you go. Who has an auction end in the middle of the day anyway? I'd think ending around 9PM would get the best possible window for more bids... Oh well, it was originally a $20 book and didn't want to pay more than twice that for it anyway. At least I won a different book and a train car!
Congrats on the big win, Chief! Sounds like you need a new locomotive to me!!!

Hi Folks,
Just thought I'd drop a line to let you know Mom seems to be recovering nicely. A little sleepy and confused today, but I guess that is to be expected 2 days post bypass surgery.

Evening all. Only had two kinds of pork bar-be-que and some baked beans for lunch. Tonight, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob [I call it low country boil] with fried chicken on the side. Plenty of sweet ice tea. better tell this before Jimbo does. Put business card in pot [I did not know what was going on]. Later after show ended, called all the reps up to the front. Pulled out 5 cards. Mine was first. Then they pulled the 5 out and if yours came up, you sart down. I was left standing. the prise was $500 in cash!!!! WOW They did not do that last week in Dallas.
Mitch, prayers. Marty, glad to hear from you. Did you all scare Lisa off. she hasn't posted lately. Dewey has about disappeared. Rest now and no rush tomorow morning as I have all day to drive home. Later

I think I have a solution to that problem. You could move to southwestern PA. This way you'd be closer to Brent and fife, and not to mention the fact that there is a small shop in a town near me that is loaded with postwar.

Beav, I had a good size chunk taken out of my left side this afternoon at the skin doc. Are we related? Scallops anyone?
Afternoon all,
First,csxjohn-Did you send me email? I'm just being careful as I know so little about this thing if it got bugged I'd have to get the DIL to fix it for me.
Took the wife to an ear Dr. today and he ask why are you here, get this she told her new Dr. that her ear pop while we were in the Smokies and he sent her to a ent. I warned her, but.
Well that and Walmart took our morning the "W" has raised their food and drug prices since we were there about six weeks ago. A sinus medicine I've been buying there went up 25% and most of the canned goods are up so we left with very little. I did see reg gas today at $2.73 gal. Lowest we have had for quite a while. Temp at 86 and the same until tues..gonna check on my trains now. Later,,,,,,,Sir James

Seems like south Florida keeps making the news! Another robbery today in Jupiter FL, held up a check cashing store, four men caught and fifth on the run as of 12:30pm. 10-5-07 South Florida has more than its share of bank robberies and shootings, even shootings at the malls, seems like the Wild West would be peaceful compared to south Florida.
Picked up my Super Street sections today in Jupiter and had to go around the crime scene area, only knew from the radio station that the road was closed. It takes 8 Super Street sections to make a full circle, I only bought four so my layout is 3/4 finshed for Super Streets now, waiting on other curves to come in and power supply cord.
