Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cloudy 64 degrees. Going up to a partly sunny 88, today. No rain in the forecast.
Today is a busy day. I have some errands to run, locally. Then, a few things to do around the house. Cleaned up the train room yesterday. Getting dusty. I need to run trains. Maybe, later I will do that.
Nascar race on Sunday only this week.
Dining Car is here and ready for breakfast. Later.
Y'all have a great Friday.

I saw a brand new Columbus police car the other daythat said freeway patrol on it and I was thinking it looked pretty snazzy and then as I got closer to it I realized it was a new dodge charger
Evening All ! Thanks for the comments regarding the club's website. The trestle has been a project in work for about 5 years. Currently behind it is going to be a waterfall, canyon, lumber operation and On3 capability. I have had NOTHING to do with it, that's why it looks so good. Hope, you had the sound on your computer when you accsessed the site.
John, those Budd cars are really running great!
Had some GREAT NEWS today !!!
Some of you may recall me ranting last Feburary regarding the high school football team. My son (Chris) was on the varsity team for two years. He was out for 4 games due to injury. Anyway, he did not get a letter. The coach decided on a policy that each player must play a minimum of 20 quarters per year to letter. (Maximum available is 36). He did not make the 20, so no letter. All other schools in the district award the letter if the player is suited up and eligible for play for 75% of the games. These revised rules were implemented for the 2 years only that Chris was involved. Ended up 13 seniors did not letter. There was considerable outrage by parents, booster club, etc.. The coach held his ground.
So ended up the coach was fired in the spring, the new coach this year reverted back to the previous rules. That leaves a hard argument to explain why HE did not letter. I called the Athletic Director today, and the AD agreed on giving the letter. So I have one HAPPY CAMPER !!
The only bad thing is, they are only going to give the letters to the Sr. who graduated, that contact them requesting it !!! That Stinks !! It should be given to ALL who met the same criteria as the other kids did. Not on a request basis!!
Just can't imagine how happy he is. Boy will MOM be surprised.
Train News - I had 6 running tonight. They were just kreeping around at about 4-6 mph. But was good. Got the last pieces of track I needed, so will finish the track this weekend.
Have a GREAT Friday.
Don
John, James, we've got some brownies.... I'll leave a light on!
G'night!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
PhilaKnight,
Your "exports" pull that all the time out here in the suburbs. The use of live scan has fixed many "billing" errors. The ones trying to delay the trip to prison with some sudden illness or invisible injury tend to decline any special tests needed to determine the true cause of their gotojailitis. 369 Ken
PK - sounds about right... And hey, be careful out there! Catch any more dogs?
Watching Attack of the Show - story about The King of Kong documentary. It really looks pretty cool, so I might have to go check that out. Apparently it is doing very well and opening on more screens now.

Looks good. Hope it is wiggle and fire proof [since it is in CA].

It made me chuckle when you mentoned about Hospital closings. Graduate Hosp here in Philly closed recently and now we take our prisoners to another hospital ( not gonna mention it's name to protect the Dr.) but this Dr. pulled me aside one evening when we brought a prisoner in and asked " Why all you guys bringing all the prisoners here" with a confused look on his face. I explained to him that we bring them to the nearest Hospital when they complain of injuries and illness and since Graduate closed you guys inherited all the wonderful upstanding citizens we arrest. I really doubt too if they are paying the bills anyway cause a recent shooting victim I talk to said , after I found out he lied about his name, He lied to the hospital staff becaue he didn't have insurance and didn't want the bill in his real name.
Sir James; anjdevil2 and I are both in North East Florida just below the state line. Lots of folks think that Jacksonville is really in South Georgia and there are times I think they are right. We have been below average rainfall most of the year but parts of the area have been catching up in one or two days.

Mike - sorry to hear about that.
Just won a comic book and a train car - Rock Island work caboose. I'm going to use it as a flat car for a diving bell and this way it will be an illuminated diving bell!
Good evening all,
It was a beautiful night for soccer. The sun was shinning, and the air was warm, and the team did not show up to play. Last week, they played for about 15 minutes and won 2-1. This week, the fire, the effort and the play was just not there. The other team got a goal off a mishandled play by our keeper with about 20 minutes to go, and then played defense the rest of the way out. Of all the losses I have ever seen, this was the bitterest. I am posting now because I can not bear to post at the usual time tomorrow. I hope everyone else has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Great tip John (Jefelectric)! Welcome back! I didn't even notice that.
John (CSXT30): Great video! Nice to see the whole layout! That's a pretty big place. The Budd Cars look great!
Kurt
Brutus : (Jim) here's a short video I forgot I took of it earlier today. Hope it works. These are my Budd cars.

So many roads, so little time.
Sounds great Chief! I've been looking at a catalog from Swiss Meat and Sausage Company in Hermann MO. Man, looks like some great meats! They were featured on Road Tasted. Might have to make an order - it's a little too far for a road trip with the kids and all....

Dennis - You are 110 percent right. None of these politicians is lining up to give anybody anything, they just want to get control. It's all about power. One good thing, if they legalize all these guests in our country, is that the guests might get regular healthcare instead of overloading the Emergency Rooms (the most expensive healthcare cost-wise) for their free care. A buddy works in the healthcare industry in Texas and there are hospitals being dragged down to closing doors by the costs of the free healthcare they have to give undocumented sickos. You'd think they would all get a clue and start swimming to Cuba for all that great free commie healthcare I've heard about recently!
Touched up the paint on the windows as the sun was going down. Also fed the Skeeters. They are fat and happy, man!
John S - how is that bridge going that you built? You have it fit onto your layout now?
Negotiating with my wife to have the kids skip swim lessons Saturday and instead go to the Scottish Festival.

It seems a few of us have come back from vacation and our key no longer fits.

Believe it or not, I'm a regular church goer.
We don't!!!!!!! OH, your definition of regular is different from most. Now say three "Hail Marys".
Evening all. Long day but good one. Lunch/dinner in the South [free] was country style steak and gravy, rice and gravy, butterbeans [Southern style = seasoned], ham, cole slaw, banana pudding, cherry pie, apple pie and plenty of sweet ice tea. Dinner/supper in the South, 5 kinds of wings, sausages in honeymustard, meatr balls, raw veggie tray and lots of boiled peanuts [Yanks do not know boiled peanuts]. Dr. John, you will have to shake your head and call my Mom. As a Baptist, I had one small scotch and water [which is very seldom].
Now relax until tomorrow AM.
One observation: I came in tired and read the Coffee Pot posts since I left this AM. I found myself laughing and relaxed. Thanks gang.
The coffee room's been empty so long I thought it was fri.
Mel are you in the part of Fl. that went without rain all summer?
And more to come in Jax in the next 2 or 3 days. Oh boy!
Thanks Fifey...I need all the help I can get....
Just don't pray for any more rain, here...We've had 14"+ over the last 3 days....
