KRMI also got my colonoscopy apt set up and will have it done on 11-9-12. OH JOY
Jeffery We then spent the rest of the morning rebuilding a twenty-five plus year old home made table saw (70's era Skilsaw bolted underneath a homemade plywood table saw deck complete with 2x2x16" rip fence) that's bolted to the top of an old Steelcase office desk _
HAHAH my grandfather had the same thing. I don't even think the word Dangerous come close to the how unsafe that thing was!!
He used it religiously though
Back to hotel from NASCAR Hall of Fame. Neat. Especially if you are my age. Remember the old guys and their cars.

So much for my plans this morning! My father called shortly after I posted. He needed me to come down and put together a power miter saw for him. That took the better part of an hour. I swear the man couldn't close an umbrella without instructions that were typed in triplicate, lost, found, sent out, queried, sent back, put on public display then buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as fire lighters before new instructions were issued. He then wanted me to set it up so it could rip sixteen foot 2x6's. I had to explain to him that that couldn't be done with that type of saw. He then described a saw he had used years ago to do that sort of thing and that it was very similar to this one. I then had to explain to him that what he had used was a radial arm saw and that this model miter saw could NOT be made to be used in that fashion. It's virtually impossible! We then spent the rest of the morning rebuilding a twenty-five plus year old home made table saw (70's era Skilsaw bolted underneath a homemade plywood table saw deck complete with 2x2x16" rip fence) that's bolted to the top of an old Steelcase office desk. We, rather I, got it working and I put a good blade on it. Some of the blade mounting hardware was missing and we had to cobble together a replacement. The blade is on as tight as I could get it. The saw has safeguards that are more than sufficient to stop a runaway blade should that occur. Still, we're both going to be standing back when the first couple 2x6's are pushed through. It may work, it may not. The blade may stop dead as a hammer when it hits the first board. But that won't be today. After that we got cleaned up a bit, collected my mother from the couch (yes she's back home holding the couch down) and we went to town for a late lunch then to a lawyers office to sign over the house to the new owners. Got back home about an hour ago and I'm completely wiped! Working on the layout or anything else for that matter is the farthest thing from my mind! I hurt all over and could care less if the walls fell down.

Good afternoon,
John, I got the Stihl big boy hand held, BG 86. It is their most powerful handheld blower, designed for landscaping professionals and the price at BIG R was only $250.00 list is $499.99 so I it did not hurt as much as I thought it would. Man does it Blow! 190 mph. with 359 CFM with the flat nozzle and 154 mph and 459 CFM with the round nozzle. It has no problem moving wet leaves so I know it will be super with dry ones. I cleaned up around the driveway and house with it already and am very happy with it.
Prayers for your mom,
My wife is a br*st cancer survivor but her's was not at the level of your mom's. She had some removal and radiation only. Then 5 years on Tomoxifen. She has been good for 7 years now. Treatment has come a long way.
Cloudy and rain that we sure needed in the summer but I will take it. Going up to the high 70s tomorrow.

Afternoon. Boring!!!!!! Good networking. Did find some vender things in exhibit hall to help save Town some money on maintenance and repairs.
Jon, huge atta boy to you for your continued Patriot Riders work. Said that before but want to say it again. It is time consuming and cost $$$.
Christmas lights already???????
Big dinner in the NASCAR Hall of Fame tonight [plus free tour].
Later
Lunch time:
Just a quick stop by after getting caught up on the Pot.
Mom is doing good. thanks for the Prayers and Well Wishes.
DJ, Get shot of you and the boys. Well wishes and prayers for Tyler.
We had a great time at York. I scored a 736 Berkshire and a 6250 NW2 at a decent price for each. AF53 was wearing a Yankee shirt with Munson on the back. The guy with the 6250 on the table was talking with Ray about the Yanks and Munson so I took advantage and wheeled and dealed. BTW, when Laz refered to "Johnson", that was the nickname we gave my son for the meet.
SP Man, Ray, thanks for sharing about your sister. I told Mom about her.
Jeffrey, Glad the plumbing worked out.
Have a Great Day!
Thoughts and Prayers for all in need.
John
Thanks Frank for taking care of your buddy with Parkinson's, without question he is having a great time and it's because you are making the effort to help him in his time of need. You get a huge "atta boy" from me!
My Mom had Parkinson's.
Jon
So many roads, so little time.
Good Morning!
Sir James - Thanks for the information, I had forgot about them.
Going to be pushing the Goose around today, possibly some drizzles in the mix. But, definitely a lot cooler! And, really becomes enjoyable! Thursday having a big event here! The guys from the railroad are coming over for a "Toy TrainMania" event. Will probably last most of the afternoon. Most get off work around 1:30, then a few at 6:00 so day will probably go until 8 ish. Looks like it would be a great opportunity for me to get back at the "Certification" process a little. (I have a card I give to visitors of my layout AFTER they have successfully run a train, denotes certificiation). Should be fun.
Need to take some photos with the new Christmas lights, will try to get it tonight, but need to clean up the mess.
Oh, I got the hardest certification finally, I am now authorized to drive a golf cart in the park!
Don
Aloha from a grey and warm Chicago. Had a nice weekend - attended one son's college hockey game - along with the requisite after-game dinner and 'advice' about studying. Took the youngest to a 'Trail of History' encampment. Today was his first day at his new school. DJ, great photo of you and your boys. Jeffrey, tabasco is sure good on everything! 8n, you are lucky to have shared the same cab as 007. Here is Ben standing guard. Note the cannon atop the hill in background ready to fire.

It's a sunny 45 going to 60s today.
I can't think of anything for Mayor McCheese this morning so I guess I will let him slide this time. Have a good Monday...S.J.
Morning from chilly Charlotte NC. 44 but going to 75. Skipped breakfast as too full from last night's big meal. Hope to go to Bass Pro Shops today. If not, tomorrow. 4 Runner in hotel parking so may wait unitl tomorrow as may do a double charge. Rip off.
Have a great week to all.
Waiting for the sun to come up, Going to be in the 70s but a chance of rain. In rural Marseilles IL.
Worked in the yard most of yesterday, sweeping and burning leaves. Mower engine is still leaking oil but not as bad.
Have my pre-colonoscopy apt this morning and then I will go look fior a replacement leaf blower.
Good day,
Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s. Sorry I did not post yesterday, but I worked outside all day long after Mass. I picked up sticks, mowed, edged, and trimmed the yard. Also bagged some leaves in the street in front of house and swept the back porch. Watched "Once Upon a Time". It was good. I have at least one more soccer game and that is tomorrow night. TBIL and I can drive. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good morning. It's 62° with 100% humidity. It'll be mostly sunny with a high of 88°.I hope to do some cleanup work on the layout today. I don't quite know where to begin. Maybe if I start with one thing it'll lead to another. Also need to get tractor and trailer up here to cart off the pieces that were ripped out of the kitchen cabinet. That's all piled up outside. I should be able to get it all in one load and take it down to the burn pile.
Good Morning
Got sunshine and mild temperatures for us'uns today...that will be nice
Got some schtuff to do this morning and this afternoon...better be gettin'r'dun!!....
I'll have a coffee and a breakfast bagel to go please, Flo....
Have a good'un!!!
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cold 38 degrees. Going up to 70 today with sunshine.
Today is a busy day. I have a bunch of chores to do and a project for the wife to work on. Maybe I will get a nap after lunch.
Cardinals are playing like the Indians.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Monday.
Chuck
Great picture, Spanky! Prayers for Tyler and our others in need.
Just goofed off all day, really. I did get the new shower all caulked, just need to put some trim on the front once it's all dry. Char has a cold, so we just all stayed in and took it easy all weekend.
TARDIS is ready - we have pizza, banilla and rootbeer. Let's go!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Time for me to call it a night. Got about an hour nap time earlier but still felt worn out. No layout work today. Maybe I'll get some good sleep tonight. See y'all tomorrow.
DJSpanky I hope you guys can stand another picture: Linda snapped this one before she left for VA, as we were suiting up to watch the Rutgers game on TV:

Great shot DJ,
God Bless
Night guys.
Probe: Hopefully the combined cash from the wagon will enable me to pay off 4 credit cards and a small raid of the 401k will finish off my personal loan. I really had this wagon project planned out perfectly, but the cash dried up and the divorce has to be finalized. Life will be better without the more money going out. Once the dust settles, I can finish my Road Runner in earnest.
You'll be happier with the shortys...less cutting and cursing...trust me on this,,,long tubes are great, but they are a pain.
Fife - You need to spice it up here......

Chief,
That doesn't suprise me one bit. I wanted to buy a Luxury Lines 726 Berk back in April of 05, and got a runaround. Ended up settling for a NPR Berk from him, but I sold it later. Bought a real 736 Berk from Dave Dansky and felt much better.
Spank,
Keeping the rolling. Waiting for some Camaro pictures too.
Rich,
I can definitely understand how you feel about selling the wagon. It's tough to let go, but it gets easier with time. I felt a very strong sense of loss when I scrapped the 91 Probe, but it had to be done. Wednesday will be three months to the day, and I don't miss it any longer.
I've been busy moving more PW Lionel and some Flyer. Trying to figure out how to "reinvest" some of that. Options include: BBK Tuned Length Shorty Headers, or SLP Loud Moutth mufflers. Not quite getting what I want from the current FR500S (KR) mufflers. Long tubes are out since they require a shorter catted midpipe and PCM reflash. The thought of installing headers scares me a bit because I don't want to break any studs.
Should've just bought a 5.0.
Evening. TIRED!!!!! Mayor buddy [I drove up] called at 7:40 to say, "Are you sleeping in?" "Well, I was." Had to walk down the street two blocks to his hotel. Smoke from all the tailgaters covered the street [right at Panthers' stadium, COWBOYS won ]. Breakfast and then over to the convention. Sat around and then went to nominate him for 2nd VP. Back to his room to keep him company until open of exhibit hall. Then back over to conference. Then dinner in big ball room. Reason I am "baby sitting" this Mayor is he has Parkinsons. He is really showing signs of deteriation. Hands tremble and mind is confused some. He keeps on going. I'm his driver and "guide dog". His wife is on a cruise so she could not come.
Back in room and now to rest and watch TV.
Tomorrow: early rise as breakfast at 7:30 and meetings all day with luncheon and dinner.
We had a gorgeous day to do outdoor type thingees...like mulching the yard...of other peoples leaves....et cetera....
That ended up being done just after I posted last...now I is really bushededed...
Coffee's cold tonight.
I got banilla, will wait for the Tardis..S.J.
CHUCK and JEFFERY sound like candidates for Melatonin. A non prescription supplement, and not a drug(RAY) . Works for me.
Marty must of had an offer that couldn't be refused.
Spanky - Enjoyed the pictures.

Hey, Guys!
Tyler & BOC.....
Nice Family, Spanky!!
Looked at a couple cars yesterday, so we'll see.
Looks like the Wagon is sold, next weekend it leaves. It sucks, but I have to move on. It'll pay a lot of bills off. Took the custom dash and stereo system out of the wagon, new owner is bringing his own wheels and tires. Will replace the battery with the one that belongs there and put that one on the battery tender.
Got a call from the Princess yesterday and today....miss her. She went to see a live action Rocky Horror Friday night and she had a blast. She went with 2 friends...said I should've been there too.
Cool and crisp today, should've been on the bike, but I still have things to do...like bake cookies....oven's warming up, I'll bake a few make a dinner and run off to my sisters house as I'm trying to sell my BIL's Duster.
Yankees are done, NY Giants just beat the Redskins.......wishing my Devils were playing!
Jeff - nice story!!
off to the kitchen!!
