Good morning. It's 74°, humidity is 97%. There's a fair chance of rain. The high will be 90° but it will feel like 101°.

Nothing planned for today except some cleanup on the layout. It's a bit cluttered after working on the newest Frankenstein F unit. I put some weight into it last night so it weighs slightly under a pound. All that remains is to obtain and install a decoder.

Konbanwa,

How is everyone enjoying their Sunday so far?  Ours was great; it started off with my wife’s homemade cinnamon rolls.  We had Sunday school and church in the morning and relaxation all afternoon.  I watched the UFC fights I recorded while we were at church.  A few of the fights were entertaining but most were a letdown.  I also was able to run some trains with the older boy.  The UTB RR is significantly populated with Lego Star Wars figures right now.  They look pretty neat standing on the tinplate passenger platform.  It’s time to enjoy some wine with the wife.

Rich – That’s great news about the job interview.  I hope you receive good news on Tuesday.

SJ – I’m glad you’re enjoying real BLTs.  We have a small tomato plant out back now, but it is a cherry tomato plant so it will take at least 10 of them to make a real BLT.  Dinner

Good night all.  Reclinerized too long.  No Box work today.  Ended up "babysitting" the Hunders Haven kids [my "adopted" Grandkids]  Took them to Mrs. Edna's.  Allan [the youngest] was especially  happy.  He loves trains so good he will sit and watch my NS videos of trains all day.  We went upstairs and got my Penzy Flier and tender and my PW Berk and tender.  Ran both on the mainlines.  They loved it.  Hunters Haven is moving in the next few days to a bigger and more visable store.  They were swamped with folks all day.  They close at 3 PM on Saturdays.  Last customer left at 5:20.  Folks buying bows or getting their bows ready for bow season.  A few gun folks.

Off to bed.

Howdy guys - did get a little done today.  We went to laZboy and I bought a new chair.  This one swivels and "glides", but does not have the rocker mechanism that keeps having problems on my old one.  I think I'm too fat for the old one - there is this tiny piece of metal with two tabs on it and if one of the tabs breaks, the whole thing is a mess.  I need to fix this one, again, and we'll have it for an extra chair.  I also picked up some pvc and copper pieces I needed for the shower install, and a few 2x4s to make a "roof" for the shower stall.  I'm wondering about a light in the ceiling above the shower?  I think they have some LED lights that might work - rated for outside use I guess?  I might try installing one of those too - wire it from the light/fan unit.  I need to rent a demo hammer to get to and move the pre-installed p-trap though.  Either that or use the sledge hammer and that's not my first preference!

Prayers for BoC.  Rich - that house is a neat accessory, you will love it Smile

RT - I really like that flooring you picked out, looks nice man!

TARDIS is ready and we have banilla on board, so let's get going guys!

Good evening all,

It is hot again in SE Indiana.  As good as Friday was, Saturday was the opposite.  Both AJ and Sarah had problems with their teams in qualifying today.  Got really nothing done at home except house cleaning.  Bad night at the soccer field as one of the alums got hurt during the game.  Right shoulder was not where it was supposed to be.  Her own sister did it accidentally.  Did get CTT today.  Congrats to RT!  It is a thrill to be published.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

'Evening, Guys...

RT - Bow - FINALLY got my CTT.....Good Job!!!!Thumbs Up+

Chief - Looks good!!!

Crazy day at work, I'm off until Thursday morning.....

Stopped by Trains and Things on the way home.  Put the MTH House on fire, Elevated Gate Crossing shanty and some MTH Fire people on layaway.  Made a $40 down and owe $100.  First purchase of train stuff in like 5 months.....I'm excited!!!

Interview Wednesday evidently was a success....was asked what I would require to work there, gave 'em a number range and I'll know by Tuesday.  My "e" phone interview is 330 Tuesday as well.  Progress on both, so far.

Not much else, Back on the Harley today after 2 days of  "cage" riding....weather was in the 60's this AM, I threw on my windbreaker, and stuffed it in the back pack when I left. Good sleeping weather tonight, I predict.

Angel - for those in need.

Nice day in the train room as the wife went on a cleaning spree. I am smart enough to stay clear when she gets into one of those moods.  Wink  I told her SJ and Granny did not take me up on my request to come by and do the windows. Bang Head. Guess that did the trick.

So I worked on the toys that came in that box of Cracker Jack I got from Chief. I have the broken couplers on order and coming this way and have slowed the S-2 spaceships down to where they will be nice units for the grandkiddies to run. Tks RT. for the tip. Yes And Thanks Chief for the toys. Smile

The daughter wanted us to go to Joliet tomorrow night to watch the kids but I had to beg off. The wife has an apt at 8:00 AM on Monday 35 miles west of here and wants to get to bed early. And I have to drive her. Tongue Tied

DougM I sent you a PM. Whistling

Jeffery, Nice work on the Frankenstein F unit. Thumbs Up

Is Dennis in route to the far east to get the kids?? Huh?

Jim Probe, I can see the lawyers getting in line now up to defend that jurk so they can get the air time. And the media will give it to them. Super Angry

Prayers for BOC and Ray’s friend Ed.

Have a good night guys.

RT,

Congrats on the article.  I'll have to check at work tomorrow if we still carry CTT.  That desk would make a good workbench.

Fife,

I wasn't suprised by the mug shot either.  Seems to be the stereotypical coward.Angry  Too bad the officers didn't give him what he deserves on the spot.

Well the new Frankenstein F unit is almost done. It now has Kadee #242 coupler boxes and #5 couplers. All it needs now is some weight and a decoder.

Earlier this afternoon my ISP dropped out on me. I'm guessing they had a power outage or some such emergency. I tried calling them but none of the phone numbers worked. It was done about forty-five minutes.

Where were you when the internet went blank?Laugh

Evening all. Well I went ahead and ordered the flooring for the den its called Blacksburg Barn board its a light to med in color will look good in the room I think. I will pick it up tuesday when I'm off. I have a meeting over there That morning anyway.

Next I need to clear all out of that room to do the work thats going to be fun lol. Have to pick up the carpet from inthere and get rid of it. That means cutting it into strips no wider than 30" . Now what to do with that big desk. It the size I remember teachers having when I was in school its huge lol and then the cabinet I got that is like 2' x 3' x 7' tall. its made out of 3/4" plywood may become my trains layout base lol.

Nothing train wise today. May go run the PA's/PB's in a bit but other than that nothin here.

Hope all having a good weekend will talk to you all later

It's currently 82 here. That only feels like 105. It's clouding up pretty good so we may get some rain. I got my parents yard mowed and Mr Murphy was all over my case! First the tractor got jammed up on a low ornamental concrete wall then I almost got clothes-lined by a mimosa branch that was supposed to have been removed. One of the tractors blade clutch pulleys broke and it sounds like it has a bad gear in the rear end. I got half the yard finished with it. I used the little MTD Yardman to do the back yard. Mr Murphy was trying to foul that up too.

Sturgeon-Phish

Evening All,

Ray, I will dedicate a special prayer for you friend tonight.  It is called the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

It's rained all day and we needed it like most in the mid-west.  Feels good outside.

The new CTT came but it got soaked!  But I did see the 4x8 layout plan and that may be put to use!  It is just a tad larger than the test track in Gabriel's room and it will be at least 4 more weeks till my bride can climb the steps upstairs.Wink

Need to go; must finish this weekend's homily

May God bless

Aloha! Back from a two day trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park to pick up the college-bound boy. He starts 2 weeks of orientation tomorrow. Whilst there I had to ride their train. Will post pictures this week. It's a real steam engine - from somewhere where it pulled sugar cane! I rode right behind the tender to watch them put water in and shovel coal. Must be just like DonB!

Ray, my condolences on your last time with Ed.

Fife, sorry for your material losses from the big storm. Hope fifeprincess is making do without SpongeBob.

Chief and Kev, thank you for the 027 track offer. I could use some...

Nice video Darren!

Morning.  Cloudy and should have more showers.  Going to visit Hunter's Haven and probably Mrs. Edna's before doing more Box work.

Been a good week.  Rain and lots done in the Box.

Lots of TV talk about the AR [I'm not an AR fan] used in the CO. thing.  Crazy people.  Why was he captured alive?  Just like a Lumberton, NC policeman shot and killed by a hood this week [he recognized that had warrants, called and waited for backup, when he approached, guy shot him from the car].  He was taken alive at the scene.  ???  A lot of tax dollars will be spent on trial and prison.

Got to get moving.

Have a great weekend.

Hello all,

Unusual Saturday AM post for me. That's because it's RAINING!!!!!!!. Thank you GOD!!!!!!!!!! We've received over three inches since Thursday evening. Corn has shot up dramatically. It looks like we might have  a small crop instead of none at all.

Chief, Great looking layout.

More prayers for BOC and Ray's friend

I haven't received CTT yet but Congas to RT

Best move on

Mornin' boys.  Rainy day in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Going to a cook-out with my folks.  But first, a little laundry and a mop job in the basement.

Saw the Colorado aledged shooter's mug last night.  Exactly what I was thinking he would look like.  "I'm somebody now..."

Chief - Love the progress shots.  The intermodal area is my favorite area.  Any way I can talk you into flipping around the grain siding area...?

Konbanwa,

We had a very typical Saturday: mowed the lawn; sanded and painted a patio table I made; vacuumed out my car; and unloaded groceries for the wife.  The weather was very nice today; it rained overnight and fortunately the high was only 75 and the humidity was low.  We will relax the rest of the night, but I also need to finish some schoolwork.

My digital issue of CTT was delivered this past Tuesday.  I’m glad us digital subscribers are now getting ours at the same time as the print subscribers.  I am enjoying the digital format very much.

I hope you all have a great Saturday.

Greetings from Sunny and Cooler Taxachusetts,

Mid 70s and sun today for the granddaughters' joint 9th and 3rd birthday parties here.  Daughter says 50 will attend including the parents, friends and relatives. Bang Head  Massive house cleaning and lawn work done.  Need to clean out coolers and some other odds and ends plus one last trip to the grocery store.  And one last pass at poo patrol......have not toilet trained the dog yet. Smile, Wink & Grin  I have two guys getting here early to help with the pop-up tent set-up and some table/chair set-up......delegation, delegation, delegations........and many hands make light work (for ME!!).  Got two tanks of propane in reserve.  And yes, RaySP, I will be cleaning the grill in advance of the cooking. Laugh

Ran out yesterday and got some flowers for the deck and scored some deep discounts on window box and deck arrangements left over from July 4.........red white and blue petunias with American flags in good shape.  Wife pleased even though she does not trust my judgement in such things. Wink  Too late, I said.  Executive decision.  I bought them and here they are!!!!!!

RaySP.......continued prayers for your buddy, Ed.  He's in God's hands now. Angel

Rich......hope the interviews went well and you get too many choices. Thumbs Up

Chief.......all I can say is WOW!!!! Thumbs Up

Jeffrey........glad that the sugar level has settled down.  Thanks for the rain.  The lawn is a tad greener for the party. Stick out tongue

RT.........you da man!!!!  How much did you pay them to print your article. Laugh

MikeC........sounds like you are getting off easy on the lawn mowing this Summer.  I keep mowing every week to keep the lines in the lawn going even though there isn't much to cut.  Last night the wifey asked me if I cut the lawn. Bang Head  You would think she would have noticed.

Later, gang.

Good morning. It's 72°. The humidity is 92% and there's a chance of rain. The high will be 98° with an expected heat index of 110°.

This morning I intend to mow my parents yard provided that Mr Murphy doesn't get in the way. The rest of the day will be getting some rest and I may get some layout work done.

Prayers for healing for BoC and all in need.

Prayers for the survivors and relatives in Colorado - what a shame Sad

Chief - outstanding work on the box, man!  Ran late goofing off on this and that and finally got on the computer about 10.  Nice chat with RT.  Plans for the weekend include picking up some stuff for the basement and maybe looking for a new chair for the livingroom tomorrow.  Work on the basement on Sunday.  I might rent a demo hammer to move the P-trap over for the shower.  I also need to mow the front and sides with the rider and make sure the battery is charged up.

BIG CONGRATS TO RT!  I got my CTT yesterday and found the article last night while we were talking about it.  How cool!

TARDIS is tardy, but ready - let's go!

Good evening all,

It is relatively cool in SE Indiana.  A good, no, make that a great day today.  Conway was 3rd quick overall for AJ  in two rounds of practice and he and Newgarden were 2nd and 5th in the first round.  Work went well. came home and mowed the yard for the first time in 2 months on the coolest day of the last two months (temps in the 70s), and good friend from high school stopped in for a visit.  Did not get the CTT, but did get the Lionel Christmas catalog.  Terrible what happened in Colorado.   Chief, good progress on the "box".  TBIL and I can drive.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana
