Konnichiwa,

Today is the Princess’s birthday; she is now 11.  She hasn’t decided what she wants for dinner yet, but the wife finished her homemade German chocolate birthday cake this afternoon.  I cannot wait to have that tonight.  I am finishing the usual tasks at work today and nothing exciting is happening.

AF Ray – I hope the rest of the Yanks West coast doesn’t go like this.

Jack – We’ll host those Sox this weekend and I hope we finish them for the season.

Laz – You’re retired; take it easy and heal up.

SP Ray – I’m sorry you lost your best friend.  I’ll pray for you and his family.

Brutus – I’ll pray your mom’s surgery goes well.

Sayonara,

Joe

Evenin' All !

Still alive, just not kickin' very high. Between the "honey do's" , the museum projects and the club projects it is about all I can do to keep up with the "Pot Posts" so I be a lurker for the most part. Just to tired to try to type, get to tired you make to many mistakes. Thank goodness friday & saturday museum runs were un-eventful.

Ray, Prayers for Ed and all his family and friends.

Chief, Making great progress on the Box.

One of my projects is trying to turn an old Bachmann G gauge circus set from a "Sow's Ear" into a "Silk Purse". Have to cast a lot of the plastic accessory parts since Bachmann doesn't stock them and haven't found'em anywhere else. Did score some engine parts on e-bay for a good price though, should be able to get it all together for the museum's Circus Week the first week of Aug.

About time to rustle up the nitetime meds, eyelids gettin' awfully heavy already.

Nite all.

P.S. Almost forgot:

Laz, On your last visit to Barry's did you happen to notice if they had any of the Railking "bump-n-go" trolleys? We were using an Atlas one but it bit the dust and my M&M Handcar works beautifully when I use it. I thought that if the trolley would run as smooth as the handcar it would be a winner.

Helped with Hunters Haven in building new wall and installing 18 foot checkout counter.  Did get breaker installed and outlet to turn on and off the surge protector for the main power for transformers and TMCC/Legacy and DCS.  Pulled some long runs of old wiring from under old layout.  Will reuse in the Box.

Off to early Dr's apt for blood test and weight to see how good I've done on dieting.

Ray - prayers man.

BoC - prayers for healing.

Mike - hope your friend heals up quickly and without any residual problems.

Worked on the basement for a few hours today - drywall all done at the stairs and also cleared out and picked up a lot of debris.  I studded in a ceiling over the shower area with about a 5 degree tilt towards the rear so it will push steamy air out toward the fan and maybe condenation will go toward the rear.

Mom has her thyroid cancer surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30.

TARDIS is ready and we have banilla and MUG rootbeer, so let's hit it guys Smile

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Small preak in the temperatures yesterday.  Was able to get out and do some yard work.  Heat came back today, though.

Started working on modular layout pieces for the museum today.  Got most of the framework together for a corner module.  This will be based on a good sized HO layout that was donated.  The museum does not have room for a perminant layout, so we've decided to convert it to a modular so it can be used as a temporary display.

Ray -condolances for the loss of your friend.

All for now.

Ray I'm sorry to read of your friends passing, I know you will miss him. We spent the afternoon at a surprise 70th birthday party. Granny got to see another sister and some other family members. Then we sat on the porch till after dark talking with a neighbor. Banilla is ready, but it's waiting in the freezer...S.J.

Time for me to call it a night. Don't know what happened earlier today. I felt extremely weak for some reason or other and had to lay down for a while. I feel better now but I sure wouldn't want a repeat of it. See y'all tomorrow.

Good evening all,

My condolences SP Man on the loss of your friend.  Checked on the young lady who got hurt Saturday night.  Her folks said she broke her collar bone.  Will have it checked more thoroughly on Monday.  So sad to see that happen.  Kind of takes the wind out of your sails.  I watched the F-1 race, which Alonso won.  Good race.  Listened to the Indy car race.  No yellows and only 2 DNFs.  Conway salvaged an 11th for AJ and Newgarden was 18th for Sarah.  Helio won.  It is hot in SE Indiana.  TBIL and I can drive.  No barrel rolls tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Evening all

A good Saturday.  Worked on trim and cut grass, preached at Mass.  Prayed special intention for you friend Ray.

Good night and may God bless

Jim

Jim, thank you for the special intention for my friend Ed.  He passed away quietly at 11:55PM last night 7-21-12.  I told his wife of your prayers and she was very pleased and happy to hear of it.  He was my best Pal and I will miss him but I know he is in a good place now.

Thank you so much,

Laz, I hear you man. I just got over one of them from a few weeks ago. I think I complained about it on the pot. Grumpy  At first I did not know if I cracked a rib or pulled a muscle. But after thinking about it had to be a muscle because I did not hit my ribs.

I was pulling the tailgate off the truck and it had never been off in 11 years. So when I gave it a hard tug,,,,,Bang,,,,,,Ouch, what a pain. Crying Took better part of two weeks to get to sleep well. Hope your is a quicker recovery.

Seems I must of done some damage to my NS Dash 8 when it hit another parked train on a siding when I was running in the dark and the switch was thrown.  Embarrassed  It blew the side truck plate right off.  Black EyeSo my luck, I find out today that the truck plate is laying on the table and I just put in a parts order yesterday. Hi GUYZ,

Just got done watching the OPEN Championship from Northern England.  ADAM SCOTT boggied the last 4 holes to lose it to ERNIE ELS WOW what a day.  Oh well now us duffers don't feel so bad these guys are human too.

I pulled a mucle in my side ab, ouch very painful!!!   I took off the biking and running for the last 2 days.  Gonna try and do a easy 2 miles tomorrow and see how it reacts.  One of the most painful muscles to agrevate.  Effects your breathing sitting and most of all your sleeping, because you just can't get comfortable.

Went down to BARRYs and he wasn't there but MIKE was testing out a bunch of older engines that BARRY had purchased from MTH headquarters in Marland.  Some were working whilst others didn't.  Was pretty neat to see some of this older stuff.  Also took friend down and he picked up the TMCC Santa Fe crake and work caboose for a great price of 360 bucks.  He's very happy.  I didn't buy a thing.

RAY, TRIBE might win a few more but we need pitching.  My NL Pirates are doing better, for once in the past 20+ years.

Stay frosty,

Afternoon all.  Lazy but not lazy.  Both slept late.  Mirra [cat] wanted out at 3:30 [really early for her].  At 4:30 heard thunder and pitter pat of rain drops.  Jumped up and rushed to back door and called Mirra.  Too late.  Hard down pour and lightning.  Knew she was under shelter so went back to bed.  Slept like a log.  Woke up and Wifey was feeding breakfast to all the kids.  She had to rush to get ready for Sunday School as she was teaching.  Left me with the kids to take out and in.   Now getting ready to go help Hunters Haven do some moving.

Cloudy, humid and rainy.

Have a great new week.

Good Mornin' Ya'll From Sunny and Warming Taxachussets,

Brief summary of yesterday's joint birthday party for the grandkids.  Think we hit 40+ in attendance, including parents, family, and friends.  Kept running into people I didn't know from Adam. Whistling  Anyway, major success and survival!!!!! Thumbs Up  But the last of the guests (party started at 2PM) did not pull out until 11PM making for a very long day that started for me at 7AM.  Am I that likeable and entertaining? Whistling  I thought not.  Laugh

The back yard is a disaster area, cleanup (and put away) to resume shortly.

Ideas for the next one?  Close the beverage coolers, call a major time out every hour using a megaphone, and command the parents to initiate garbage cleanup with themselves and their kiddies.  Trash and recycle barrels available all over the place and too few clean up after themselves. Bang Head  This ain't no freakin' restaurant!!!! Bang Head

Later, gang.

sir james I

It reached 88 today sunny as well.

Kev granny would welcome anyone that stopped by wanting to clean windows. I figure they are good for a few years before she wipes them too thin to be safe.. Meat and veggies from the crock pot today..Banilla is waiting..S.J.

Laugh  SJ.........when the guests started to arrive yesterday for the granddaughters' joint birthday party all of the windows that the grand kiddies and the dog could reach were already trashed.  I guess using women's logic,  new dirt, grime, smudges, fingerprints, and dog slobber are acceptible.  The only thing missing was the bird droppings.  Apparently the birds did not get the memo that the windows had been cleaned. Laugh

Granny is probably shooting for new windows, the ones that tilt in for cleaning both sides from the comfort and safety of the inside of the house.  She doesn't want you getting injured cleaning windows, after all. Smile, Wink & Grin  In addition, she can expand the outdoor window cleaning throughout all of the Winter months. Stick out tongue

Yesterday after coming home from work wifey wanted burgers on the grill as she cooked the corn on the cob (I perfer it cooked on the grill) then I cut the grass. Nice easy weekend which I'll take anytime.
