Thanks for the kind thoughts Chief, my attorneys are still working on the details with them, they were talking about a special edition or something, not sure. My people are handling the details.

Morning all. Could not sleep. Light rain right now. Suppose to clear and then maybe a TStorm later today.
Shake and Bake, I think your attorney won yesterday. You got your "same kind" marriage ruling. [pay back is h---]

Today is a busy day. Wife is leaving for a 2 day visit with daughter and granddaughter. I will be cooking again. Running trains. This may not be too bad. And I will have to take a good nap. Oh, well.........

Mornin' boys. Rain & 59 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Glad I cut the grass yesterday. Infield at Ol' Hilltop should be good and muddy tomorrow for Maryland's tribute to Sodom & Gamora...

Good morning all,
Not too sure what the weather will be in SE Indiana today as it was cloudy this morning. They did get practice in at the speedway yesterday, but some teams were doing qualifying setups and others were working on race trim. If the weather holds for Saturday, it will be an interesting day. Wife and I went to the YMCA and did indoor track work. Taped "Lost". Started working on getting house ready for graduation. Lots of events happening here to forum members. I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Morning Y'all! Not much happening in this neck of the woods. Supposed to get some heavy rain today. It would be good, but I hope it waits till after the trash truck makes it's rounds. I put out a pile of old Lionel shipping boxes and if they get wet and tossed around, it'll be a mess.
Jack, Doctors are like mechanics, some are good, some are not. Remember what they call the guy who finished last in his class at medical school.....Doctor. My suggestion for all, get to know a good family practitioner and cardiologist (for those not so young). When you need something outside of their practice looked at, ask them who they would send their mother to. I have found myself slipping when someone says "my mother just had a total hip replacement done by Dr. Soandso", to which I ask "did she live?". Not the best when it comes to discretion, but I will be honest.
Well, alas, I have not received my latest CTT yet. I am really looking forward to it though. Not much happening and it would be good to read while I am in between rounds. I hope that everyone has a great weekend.
God Bless,
dennis
Mike: we were posting at the same time. You mention "Lost", I have never seen it, but one of the guys I worked on the movie with is a producer for the show. Real nice guy and his wife is very nice too. They live in Hawaii now with the show, so I guess I will have to make a visit.

Sunfires are cool looking but a bit on the small side, the new GTO's just do not have the right look for the power they pack, mom just recently got a Grand Am and it is a super car. Pontiac puts out some great product I would buy another Pontiac over Ford(my truck F-150 is cool but it has had too many failures too close together recently)
Doug Murphy 'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...' Henry V.
I agree about the new GTO. My brother has a 99 Grand Am, and I've never seen a car rust as fast as it does. He has had the rear quarters and underbody repaired several times. One thing I have noticed is that GM uses thinner steel than Ford. I know what you mean about failures with Ford. I ignored an EGR problem for 145,000 miles with the Probe, and I think that might be the trouble now.
Morning all from wet Southern Ohio
Glad you like the 9 words. I could relate to all of them. Even though it was wet yesterday, I had a good day yesterday. A couple pots of coffee to transition from night to day activity. I waxed the truck, man, that's a lot of sheet metal (full size extended cab 8' bed). Received the 768 Supply Depot I won on ebay. After a bath it looks nice. I took some pictures and will post them Sunday.
RT- You are very patient, it looks like things are coming together
Don- The old American Flyer (and yes Lionel too) mechanism is fascinating. One of the most interesting I think is the Talking Station mechanism. The timing for the record to start, end and reactivate the isolated track is neat. Simplicity and function is the mechanism for the drum loader!
Doug- I hope your project goes well.
Chief- Your body is used to the pre-sleep time in the recliner; not reclinerizing threw your cycle off
Laz-Call the shot skill, just avoid needed to repeat it
Take care and may God bless
Jim
Our gas all dropped down from 3.93 to 3.85 overnight. Not sure why. It's usually a step approach here. Goes up 10 cents, goes down 5, cents, goes up another 10 cents, and down a little to take the edge off, etc. How is it that every gas station around my 30 mile commute knows exactly what the other guy is charging (they all go up at the same time)...they must be looking at the local gas prices websites too...

Mom's car is 04 very well maintained, I see alot of potiacs(Grand am and Grand Prix and firebird/Trans Ams on the road)
Speaking of rust Dad's 88 Nissan truck has a rusted out bed and the door handel on drivers side is busted but runs like a dream(if you check the fluids and belts it will last a good long time)
The funny thing about my Trans Am I am not a auto machanic but I like muscle cars and big trucks, I can check oil and replace air filters and other easy stuff but as far as repairs I have not a clue
No good news on the gas front this morning. Just read an article in the WSJ that the refineries are shifting as much of their capacity to producing Diesel as possible as it is more profitable, they claim they can not pirce gasoline high enough to cover the increased price of crude. Looks like they are sure trying though.
On the train front. I'm finally getting around to building a much needed mountain. That is what we call hills in PA. My questions is, what is the best glue to use to laminate several layers of blue foam board? Will plain old carpenters glue do the trick?
Thanks for any help I can get.
jefelectric - won't a hot-glue gun work...?
Still no luck trying to find this set of Microscale Decals (NW #48-86). Microscale is out of stock, Walthers is on back-order, and no shops in VA-MD-or NC stock them.

Well guys, I took off a little early today to pack and get ready for the trip. Son got home and said he doesn't want to go this weekend. Grandma is visiting to help wife paint kids' bedrooms and I think this visit took priority, LOL
Good for me - I did want to go fishing with my son, but did not want to drive 2.5 hours each way to do it. There are a lot of good campgrounds and fishing areas around here that are a lot closer, so not sure why they wanted to go so far away anyway.
Going out to eat, but I'll be back later tonight to check on you all. TTFN
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Greetings and felicitations, ya'll: (Chief still tutoring me)
Missed the window on mowing the lawn today as I was working on a small business' business plan. Rain is forecast all weekend. Wifey will not be happy with the jungle.
Got on the scale this morning, shocked, up 15 since I joined the CTT Toy Trains Forum 5 months ago....then it dawned on me that I read the Pot before going to bed, followed by a snack: it's you guys posting between 9 and midnight talking about forbidden foods, and the subliminal message I receive.....so it's YOUR fault.
CSXext.....how is it you only drove the TA 7,800 miles in 8 years? That comes to a cost of a zillion dollars per mile based on the depreciation expense alone. Let's not even discuss the insurance. DRIVE IT!
JimT.....at long last someone else who admits they have o 2046 Hudson with 2046 tender. I've been reading this forum for about 5 months plus the archives and I think there are 3 of us now. I've got one from 1950, love it. Which year do you have?
Dennis.....you'd be surprised what information the medical support staff will volunteer about a Doc's medical proficiency. Unfounded perception? Or maybe based merely on whether they like you or not. Suggest Dunkin Donuts and large plants on all the station desks for the coming months. Birthday cakes for someone's b-day work too. They say something like this, "You can trust Dr. D's expertise by the way he treats his staff. He's the best. Attention to detail superb. Always thinking of others."
Chief and Chuck both batching it at the same time. Hmmmm, didn't think we'd piece that together, did you two. Sounds like monkey business is in the works with this duo.
RT....from the positive tone of your last post, it sounds like you and wifey popped the cork on some bubbly to bask in your hard earned successes. Have another bottle of Dom on me. You deserve it. Don't pack the empties.
Jason....when you were talking about stocking your pond with Koi, it occured to me that is the only way Laz has caught any fish. He stocks his fishing hole with so many fish that they jump clear out of the water, attack anyone passing by, and fall right into the empty Millers' box.
Brutus....fishing closer to home gets you more time for fishing with son. However, the longer ride in the car gives you more uninterrupted quality time with son, hence his original choice of the farther venue. Bet he's thinking of softening you up with a Hallmark Father/Son moment, then hit you up for a big ticket item like a Playstation 3. Kids are clever like that. If you play your cards right, you could negotiate the location of the Playstation 3, plugged into that big flatscreen....then you'll have BlueRay HD! Wife won't be the wiser :"But honey, it's for the kids." You clever dawg.
MikeC....re taking the wife to the Y with you to work out. "Danger, Will Robinson! There's scantily clad hardbody women flouncing about there. Wife will see that and ground you for a year, maybe for life." While this is the USA and we have constitutional rights, they don't apply to husbands. You'll be guilty until proven innocent; and she will be your lawyer, judge, jury, and executioner.
Later, ya'll......or is it ya"llllllllll, Chief?
Jack

Just came across this interesting item.
Good evening all
My plans for the day went down the drain when my train friend called for a trip to the train store. Two sales reps from Bach./Williams were there talking about their products(this store is a Lionel, MTH,and some Atlas) and does very well with these brands so now we wait and see if they add Williams. So by the time I got home this afternoon, to lazy to do anything in the yard work dept. The temp reach 70 today for a short while but back to 60s tomorrow w/showers in the AM. How are we going to talk about banilla and still help our friend(s) who are on a diet. we can't so banilla for everyone. TTFN S.J.

Evening ya'll. Rock, you're getting good as a "possum" eating persimmons. Reminds me. Got another ground hog moved in the old one's borrow. HUMM. This one is sharp. Runs as soon as He hears you. Does not stop and look back [liek the old one]. Maybe two of those critters. I'll get'em.
Got lime in the pond. No time to fish. Had to got to Town Hall for meeting with big developer. He then took us to see one of his projects in a wetlands. Has over a mile of heavy 8 foot wide bridging across the wetlands. Nice. Got home and cleaned the lime out of the Crappie Jon. Cleaned it up good as first time used this year. Then rains came. It is in my bay in the garage. Will shelter it tomorrow. Well Jack, had fried chicken gizzards, pork bar-be-que with yellow cole slaw [mustard base, not mao] and burnswick stew. Followed by Klondike bar. Maybe a bag of micro wave popcorn to top things off.
Sleep tight. BTW: Mama is home.
Howdy Y'all! Staying up a little later as I had to help with the production team at church as the Christian School associated with the church had the high school graduation tonight. Did not eat dinner till I got home, so now I am just sitting in a semi reclined position to keep the food down.
John, I used Liquid Nails...but you have to read the label, some are for foam...like "Projects" and a few others. Stuff holds really well. You don't have to really spread it around, just make sure you get the edges and a little every so often. Holds great and is easy to work with.
I know at one point, some folks were talking about 8 cylinder cars....I love my Bronco with the 351, but we have a car that has a 6 cylinder and will outpace, outdrive most V8s. Top end is at 160mph...no, I have not personally put her up that high. For normal driving, it gets 32 MPG, but does need high octane, so I am paying over $4.00 per gallon.
I have a busy day tomorrow as wife is working the weekend and I have to shuttle kids. Chinese lessons and then to a birthday party. I usually don't mind the parties for the kids. It is fun to see them interact with the friends.
Hope to check in over the weekend. Also plan to take care of some layout work.
Chief, Kim was talking about perhaps a trip out your way. We may have some time this summer to visit Charlston, Raleigh, and a few other places on our way to DC. Have a friend who is on Presidential detail with Secret Service. Hope to get some behind the scenes visit.
Dennis
