Yes it is sad it has not seen that much useLaugh [(-D] I drove it to work everyday which was close to home then I bought a truck and thats what I drive most of the time. I actually got it in september of 1999 so that makes it even worse crime of neglect. It even has that new car smell stillApprove [^] unlike my truck it smells like whitecastles and then there was the time I forgot to take in the milk jug  last summer and it got hot and exploded in the back seat the truck smelled like stinky cheese for awhile. CSXect....bet no one else has a 2000 Ram Air T/A with the WS6 and mileage as low as yours, nowhere.  Thumbs Up [tup] Thumbs Up [tup]  Nice.  Colors ?  Which sound system did you get?  I picked up my son's 1999 T/A about 6 months earlier than you got your 2000.  I was told the Ram Airs were a 6 month wait at the time.

I myself have had 2 cars with t-tops, my preference, still have one of them which was my first decent car.

Thanks,

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 50 degrees. Going up to 70 today, with a chance of a thunderstorm later. Sun is trying to shine.

Today is a busy day. Wife will be coming home later. Nedd to clean up the house a little. Grass is going to need mowing in the next couple of days. Not too bad right now. Hope it dries out. Next week I will put some tomato plants in.

Dining car is self serve. Breakfast is Cheerios. Later.

Y'all have a great Saturday.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 57 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  (what happened to the rain?)  Got family -type functions to attend today, so no "me" time (except for now while the Queen is still in her chambers...).

jmkk - Thanks for checking for me, friend.  Yeah, it's O-scale set for NORFOLK & WESTERN diesels.  Mainly need the big NW in white letters (70's era).

88 - Thanks for the link (forgive my manners, still early).  I even tried your pals there in Mt Airy.  I'm fairly confident I can score a set at a future Timonium show...just didn't want the "project" to set that long...Blindfold [X-)]

jefelectric - Feeling the "pain" at the pump near $4.  They sure have us bent over a barrell (of crude, that is...)  Can't wait for the profit reports, makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside...NOT!

Well thanks to the Lakers I now have a weekend of trains and relaxation ahead of me.  Spent yesterday putting an idiot box up in the basement so the eliptical users can watch as they work out. ( That would be me).  Spent some time on my trestles.  Got a lot of ideas from various forums but for now I am just trying to get something up so I can run some trains again.  The miter saw was a great investment.

Nice day ahead but they are calling for storms later. Still haven't read the CTT much yet.  Trying to save it for the trip to the Wesr coast Monday.

Have a safe day everyone!

GOOD MORNING

I just had breakfast, but White Castles sound good. We've had sun and clouds this morning, going to 70. I've got some outdoor things to do, that I had planned to work on yesterday but the trip to the train store changed my plans. I did not use my boat last year and looks like i may not this year and it went out once the year before that. I lost my fishing buddies and going alone just isn't the same. Enjoy your weekend.....S.J.

Morning all. Sunny and beautiful here so far - not cold and rainy like they said. John, thanks for the heads up - I'm going to go look for that engine at Union Station on Monday if it is still there. CSX, just had some 'sliders' last eve... Have a good trip, Brutus.

Morning guys - wife and mother-in-law are gearing up for a big paint job on the kids' rooms.  I'm tasked to make some shelves for the bedrooms, so will get to play with mitersaw and router!  I learned that the boy scout troop is not living up to expectations.  The adult leaders are letting the older boys pick on the younger boys and call them inappropriate names, push them around, etc.  I sent an email to the guy I knew from cub scouts and asked him to look into this.  Wifey thinks my son wants to quit, but I don't know if that is the answer.  I remember I loved boy scouts, but people are all different of course.  Lots of work to do today since we are home, but I also want to do something with my boy to have some dad/son time....  Will have to think about it a little more.  No rain today!  Will rain tomorrow afternoon, so have to get all yard work caught up before then though!  Hmmm - I wonder if my son would like to run a chainsaw?  AR-AR-AR-AR!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Jack,

My 2046 is from 1950-51 because of the die cast rear truck.  The 2046 is one of my favorites.  I like it because it looks like the 736.  I keep my 736 on a shelf and only run it on Christmas Eve.  the parts I ordered for the 2046 arrived as I was typing this, so it should be a fun day.

Sorry to hear about the problem with the scouts Brutus. A good friend of mine at work is the local scout master for the cub scouts and and has a great time with it. Its a hard decision for a Dad to know when to step in and when to let your son try to work out the situation. If he doesn't like going to functions because of just a few knuckleheads maybe there is another scout troop in the area where the scoutleaders do a better job of watching out for the younger kids. Hope it works out for you and your son.

fifedog- I sent an email to P&D hobby about your 48-86,he has lots of MicroScale, however if  Pat the owner has taken the weekend off I will not hear from him until monday. One thing that happens with these types of companys if the don't make any, everyone is out of the same numbers.  S.J.

HI GIZ,

Just got done putting down 3 ton of 2 B stone in front of shed, for getting tractor in and out.

QUESTIN for YUZ GIZ?  My Lionel Niagara's nylon drive gear under the worm gear blew out and now engines motors works but small nylon gear under the worm gear is shot, and engine won't run.  I took it apart late this morning and saw that the small gear has over half its teeth missing.  I guess I have to call Lionel on Monday and get a replacement.  Is there any other GIZ, vendors, out there that might have this part?  I went to Lionel site but can't find the Niagara CC 6-28069 on there for part number.  Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Good afternoon all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s.  Went shopping at Columbus (IN) last night for graduation "stuff" for Lucas.  Found some Dockers on sale for me as well.  Watched the last episode of "Moonlight" and the season finale of "Numb3rs".  Too bad Moonlight got canceled.  Did weights at the YMCA, cleaned assorted areas of the house, cleaned gutters and picked up sticks.  Also watched qualifying at the track on the internet.  AJ got both his drivers in, Sarah Fisher qualified well and even Milka Duno looks relatively safe.  AJ IV still has to qualify, but the field is full for now.  Bump day is tomorrow.  Had waffles and ham for breakfast today on the dining car.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Rock Island52, most of the people of the female gender are definitely NOT hard bodies at the local YMCA :-(, so there is no problem in that regard.

Keep on training,

Good evening,

A local club had their monthly open house today. I stopped in and got acquainted with a few of the guys, one I knew but hadn't run into him for some time. All very friendly, they took my info and said they would send a membership application. Think I will join. They have N, 2 HO layouts, O 3-rail, an O 2-rail trolley w/ live overhead wire, std. guage and are working on a G gauge display around the one room at door top height. The O 3-rail is the largest layout I would guess is is about 60' long on one leg of an L and about 40' the other leg. All Atlas track.

Still work to do on my little mountain project.

I flipped pancakes this morning from 5:30 till 9:00 at the annual lodge pancake breakfast.  Then had breakfast with Jean.  Nice turnout but it looked a little lighter than last year.

Weather was nice this morning but going down hill with a lot of wind and looks like rain will be rolling in soon.

Doug, hope you can catch the Steamer in Union Station.  I understand they had a layout display there for National train day, did you happen to see it?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Sounds like a nice club, John. They had about 1K people through Union Station on Nat Train Day. I didn't go because it was a Sat. but I saw everything Monday including a wrapped Amtrak Heritageliner and a few other cars they offered tours. Getting nasty here just as I am supposed to fire up the grill for the first time this year for steaks with a few friends.

I've been running the Plymouth - very tiny compared to Thomas - runs like a sewing machine though - what an absolute jewel. Thin steady stream of smoke, all those marker lights!

Binford tools are the best!

Loaded up the airbrush (felt good actually) this morning.  Finished a set of GP60M trucks for a friend, and put a good primer coat on a PLASTICVILLE switch tower I am custom painting for the CUMBERLAND EXTENSION.

Fife, glad you found them.  Miss Edna does not carry decals [nor scenery products].  Has Microscale stopped carrying them?  I call and get this nice lady on the phone and give her the decal set numbers from reading on line.  Been a year since I ordered any.

Did NOT go to Miss Edna's.  Went fishing.  Windy but caught big bream [yellow bellied blue gills for the Yanks].  One weighed over a lb.  Caught a 1 1/2 lb crappie.  Came home and did chores rest of the afternoon.

Area light had bad electric eye and was staying on.  Put on a new one.  4 days and it is not coming on. Angry [:(!] It was a free one stored away.  I'll go to Lowes and get a good one.

Time to rest.  Later.

EVENING ALL,

We made it to 74 today, had sun and a shower, but cooler tomorrow.  Got some backyard things done and the plants look like they are happy in the ground. All are standing proud. I lazed today as I'm not feeling good, oh nothing serious, just a scratchy throat and achy. Went all winter without getting sick, come spring,oh well no complaints. A few days and I'll be old grumpy again. Everyone have a pleasant Sunday,,,,S.J.

Hey guys - I'm beat.  Mowed including in the trees and trimmed around house and down neighbor's fence.  Apparently the new neighbor is not going to trim both sides of his fence - just like the guy that put it up and the one in between.  Oh well, could be worse.  The wife and MiL got our daughter's bedroom painted.  Went to Lowes for brackets and boards for shelves.  Well, the only nice boards they had that were wide enough were all bowed except two.  That will make one long shelf on one wall.  They want another one on the opposite wall.  Wife wanted me to buy some of those melamine shelves.  I did, but I think they look like junk - not nice and they won't go with the fancy brackets my daughter picked out.  These are shelves you would put in a laundry room or something.  I'll have to think of something....  Then went to Noodles for dinner.  Room for banilla, though!

To bed I go.  Got half way through a movie I got half way through the last time I tried to watch it.  Problem, its always the first half. Sigh [sigh]  BTW: the electric eye on my area light thinks it is on Doug and Don's time.  It suddenly came on at 10 PM EDT [thought it was 7 PM PDT]. Laugh [(-D]

Strange things going on with my rebuilt pc(replaced a bum HD and then reloaded XP to it) the strange thing is I get no sound from the xp but if  I bootup in linux (I have a dual bootup setup) I can listen to radio on the internet. It must be a driver issue. This pc is much faster then the ME pc and even faster in linux.
