Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 54 degrees. Going up to 68 today, with lots of clouds. No rain is predicted. We'll see.

Today is a less busy day. I have a few things to do, and then I will get a hair cut later. Time for summer short hair. Maybe spend some time in train room. I want to run the Gp-38 again. It looks good with 10 cars.

Dining car is here and it's time for breakfast. Later.

Y'all have a great Thursday.

Chuck

Mornin' Fellas.

Well yesterday was filled with excitement! At 2pm I headed over to my friends place to pick him up for the game... he was still sleeping! Woke his lazy carca$$ up and he decided not to go since his voice was messed up. So off to the bar to get my BiL and his friend. Then it was off to Orioles Park at Camden Yards. Our seats were front row, right behind the ball boy. Some youngsters were in our seats and they gladly headed back to their when we arrived. Then as the last one was headed out we told him he was more than welcome to join us in the empty seat (much to his parents' delight). We arrived after the first inning so we missed the BoSux Wink [;)] getting their first run. Told the ball boy that the first ball he gets has to go to the kid sitting with us (least we could do since we're a rowdy bunch!) so around the third inning the kid got his ball, 4th inning he had to switch seats with a friend, got him a ball during the 5th inning. Then in the 7th the O's are down 2 to 3, they load the bases and Jay Payton belts a liner over the left field fence for a grandslam! O's come back and win!

Then I got home and there's a box from OH in my foyer Shock [:O]. Susie-Q asks that I open it for her inspection. GregM's 4 way switch had arrived. Thanks Greg!

Now just waiting for the MRI results... more on this later.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 59 here in the Mid-Atlantic region, where those upstart Orioles handed it to the Manny, Big Poppy & Co yesterday.  I called MICRO SCALE decals to order NW DIESEL set #48-86 yesterday, and was told they don't have it in stock (although listed in their catalog), and may not be redone for a year. Shock [:O]NOOOOOoooooooooooooo... Can anyone help?

88 - Howzabout that GRAND SALAMI?  You certainly witnessed a good one.

Phish - I seem to hear #9 quite often, to which I say something like "OK, baby, let me know if you need me..." Dunce [D)]

mitchie - Let's not be fast-and-loose with fifey's milkbones.  I would have treated if I had been a "guest"...

Chief - Thank you, Sir.  One day...

Good morning all,

It is another rainy cloudy cool day in SE Indana with temps in the 60s.  It was very cloudy and misty last night when soccer practice was supposed to occur so I went to the YMCA and did weights.  When I picked Lucas up from work, I drove by the fields and sure enough some of the kids and coaches were practicing :-(  Maybe I should have gone, but risking an ACL tear or broken leg just did not seem like an option.  Watched "Deal or No Deal".  Did some eBaying.

Got some good news on Lucas' car.  For some reason, we had gone with full coverage on the car.  The car is worth more than we thought and the damage was such that the agent in town could write us a check.  Basically, all Lucas has to pay is the deductible and since the claim amount was so low, our rates do not go up.  All things considered, the lesson learned here was fairly inexpensive.

I had a little extra on the dining car for breakfast this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Good morning all (again),

Brain must be fading.  First of all, belated Happy Birthday to Doug M., my fellow sufferer of teenage angst and drama!  Secondly, Lucas should get his car back on Friday.  Thirdly, there was some action at the track on Wednesday, but it was limited.  Fourthly, Rock Island 52, thank you for the observations concerning the workouts and Lucas.  I am not too sure about the wisdom of having the dog with me on the runs, but I do like the idea of having liquid refreshment with me at all times.  When I do indulge in adult beverages, I do prefer Bud or Mich.  Speaking of adult ( or one who is not quite there yet although he is reasonably mature), has anybody heard from TMCC man lately?

Keep on training,

Jim S-P,  The water tower I have is the same number, American Flyer.  It only had 3 wires, I added the fourth.  Really working good!  I'm amazed at the engineering done at the time it was made, very well thought out.

Laz, I will be ready, wont have a shirt on though, need to pick up the one I left last time.  I got some fresh Coconut cake I will bring along, its really great!

Got more information regarding this concert Chris is going to.  Turns out a pit pass, is to a selected area next to the stage where a lot of body slamming and shoving goes on.  Suppose to be in the high 90's on Saturday.  The concert starts at noon.  Also can't believe the prices of the tickets !!!!  They go on sale tomorrow at an auction on the radio station website, the same tickets he got selling for $2800 each!!!!  To buy the general tickets run $300 - $800.   Can't believe it !!

Did a Chief last night, never happened before.  We went to see Iron Man last night, then came home and ran trains for awhile.  Came in turned on the computer, reclinerized and read the threads.  Started a post, and fell asleep in the recliner.  Woke up the computer screen was dark, and went to bed.  This morning the computer came right up, my post had not been posted.

Kurt, Are you sure you don't have me and Doug mixed up?

Mitch, sounds like it is ALL coming together, what would you do if they asked you to set up another one?

Laz, Sorry about last night, slept right through your arrival, didn't even see th bright lights.

Chief, Glad to see you finally got your boat wet, You probably got the first fishing trip in for the year.

Hope everyone has a grea day !!!!

Morning all. Sunny here but cool. Whew, what a celebration - hope the Tardis can  be cleaned up - thanks, guys!

Sounds like a nice game, Brent. Way to go helping those kids get a game ball. Don, my son is jealous about Chris' good fortune - he likes those bands too. I'm working on a new sign for Baker Field. Opened the Plymouth - it's so small - hope to run it today with my new troublesome trucks. I have an old post - I think from Doug'dagrump  - about swapping out the couplers. Mike, great news about Lucas and the car. On top of everything, I think my daughter is not going to pass math - hello summer school. I am visiting with her lawyer today - his office is suspiciously near a train store.

A belated Happy Birthday to that wonderful generous  and smart Chicago Irishman, Doug.   Happy B-Day [bday]

Don.....it would be a hoot to see you post pics of you AND son Chris together at the Metallica concert.  Can't you get a seniors' discount on a ticket and surprise him with the good news that you're going with him?  Get some of those paste on tatoos to complete the Don transformation back to a time when.....And none of that wacky tobaccy either.

Dennis.....today is Thursday, just trying to be helpful.  Wink [;)]  See comments above to Mitch.  When doctors disagree and the patient is left to flip a coin.  And then you realize you should have had the surgeon practice on a tomato first instead of your head.  I realize medicine is not an exact science, but.....

Laz, it's an old model 40 and really is just held together with sweat and rust!

RT - big congrats!  I was just sure this was all going to work out, I'm sure there is a good reason it took so long even if we can't figure it out.

88 - good luck with the MRI, that looks like a sweet switch if it's the RCS 4 way.

Good news on the car, Mike - hope things go smoother for a while!

Don, I found some coconut in the chameleon circuit?  I got it out with the sonic screwdriver, K-9 and Chewy helped!  Now, Chewy is having a tummy problem, though Sad [:(]Wink [;)]  Laz, I never even knew the good ole' TARDIS had mars lights Laugh [(-D]  Good pointers, I guess Legacy really is more advanced if it taught you so much about space and time capsules!

Hey, Kurt - Doug is like 6 months older than me, so does that make me 28 now?  Whooohooo!

Doug, I hope things even out at home ASAP!

CSX, I wish I had a V8 truck, but I do like getting 21 to 22 MPG with the little Colorado....  I was looking at some info on upcoming Silverado (?) that switches to 4 cylinders when 8 aren't needed.  It gets 30 MPG average or something?  Might not be good enough after a couple more years of these price increases.

Banilla?  Where's Sir James?  I stayed up until about midnight bidding on a dvd on ebay.  An old Italian comedy with Ursula Andress and Jack Palance.  Sigh - got beat at the last minute.  Found another that I won, but it's coming from CHINA!  Hope it really shows up!

60s today with sun most of the time, but it did not have that warm feel to it,more like a damp basement. Got my little garden planted and now will wait with bacon and miracle whip. No trains today allthough I did peek at them for awhile. Happy friday to all....S.J.

Yep Brutus thats the rest but I figured I would wait till it was time, want fresh don't you know. If RT hadn't been put through so much lately we would swing by and wake him up. But I guess we should let him sleep. How about the chief, he's probably doozing in his recliner.

RT,

Congratulations on the loan and job!

Chief,

         I didn't get my issue yet.  Yesterday I received a 2046 and 2046W, and today I got a mess of a 362 barrel loader.

CSXect,

I bought a 2000 Sunfire in January, because the Probe was starting to aggrevate me. Big Smile [:D] A Trans Am would be much nicer.  My neighbor has a Trans Am, and it sounds great. I think that Pontiac dropped the ball with the Sunfire by only offering it with the 2.2 four cylinder.  That car deserves a V6. I will hopefully get the Probe back on the road this summer.

Doug - update on the K-Line RS-3. Did the reset, no impact. So I started playing around. Get her started, then use the BOOST button to increase speed - does not return to initial speed. It appears I can get it started and use the BOOST and BRAKE buttons to control it much easier than the wheel.

Jack - it was a nice catch, but not as nice as that grand salami! Wink [;)] LOL @ paper. I actually did all of my individual papers the night they were due. I know it isn't wise, but I seemed to excel at them under preasure. This team paper on the other hand is really driving me nuts... I've had to rewrite nearly everything the other team members have done. Banged Head [banghead] Haven't seen anything from them tonight so hopefully I see something tomorrow as I won't be online at all on Saturday.

Jim - MRI isn't for me, it was for Susie-Q. Will be sending an update either tomorrow or Monday.
