It is a snowy day in SE Indiana with temps in the 20s. Spent most of Saturday sweeping and dusting the house. It needed a good cleaning. Wife and I saw "The Bucket List" Saturday afternoon. Good acting, but very depressing theme. As one of the characters put it, "Somewhere, some lucky guy is having a heart attack." Spend most of Sunday re-wiring an old lamp which had been at my grandparent's house. It is interesting the craftsmenship that went into some of the older pieces of floor lamps. It uses an a "Mogul" sized light bulb which will use 300 watts of power. It not only lights the room, it heats it as well! The wife was using the computer so I watched the first of the shows that Ken Burns did on "The War" for PBS a few months ago. It is pretty good. I will have to catch up on the posts later. I had some wheat muffins on the dining car this morning. I hope everyone has a good day.

It is a cold 28 degrees. A few snow flurries. Going up to only 32 today, with a little more snow.
Today is a busy day. I have a few errands to run and some phone calling to do. All business. No time for trains today. Glad I got a few hours of train running yesterday. Nothing much new.

Evening all! Back from my trip to Mesa. AZ, where I came down ill for the latter part of the week. Made it through my meetings and then somehow made it home. Spent all day Sat and most of today in bed recovering or trying to recover. Watched C'Boys lose due to their affinity to cause a penalty at the most inappropriate moment. Giants landed two TDs based on C'Boys penalties. Way to go. As they say - maybe next year. Congrats to the Giants fans.
Buckeye - you have to work your way into grits. And I do not believe you about bombing Rosyville - the grits would have never made it through the aircraft's plumbing. I assume you do not want to really admit what happened to you when you flushed the airplane's toilet

You fellers won't believe this, I bought something at the show today. Ya I did. An 027 #7900 oper.cowboy car for my "general" train. like new condition $2.00. Kurt I took money to buy the Williams DT&I GP38 and he did not bring one with him. I will get it next week at the Troy show, he has one left and will bring it for me. Other than that football was my afternoon.

CSXect-Keep up the good work on the weight loss. Lots of folks are ready to encourage and support you here.
Dennis-I think kid's unconditional love is a reminder of how we are to love, wether it is our spouse, co-workers or those on the other side of the Mason Dixon line.
Don-I see so many young kids with weight problems and it is being called an epidemic. Things I've read said it is a combination of, lack of excercise, two parent working and being too busy to prepare meals so it is fast food for supper, and electronic entertainment.
At work and assignments passed out. Got home this morning after early church and got to bed about 10 a.m. Bride asked what I'd like for supper. Offhandedly I said, fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes with cherry pie for dessert. When I woke up at 5 p.m. I smelled supper. The bride delivered!!!! I wonder what she is up to??????
Got lots of reading and assignments for class. Right back into it. I hope to work on the roof Monday after a nap. We'll see.

I had some homemade grits with cheese in them and also had some instant grits they were ok but I would rather have a big stack of pancakes with over ripe bannas in the batter with OHIO made maple syrup Don't like coffe or tea gotta have my cola, rootbeer and flavored water. I like CSX Blue,yellow and gray but not Maize and Blue.

Back to work tomorrow. It has been a awful weekend since I had to spend time in that warm Florida sun. How do they handle fishing all year long for huge bass? Good Afternoon everyone. Had a great morning at Church, just about ready to head back for evening services. Also, wanted to share a special moment. Yesterday, my 5 year old woke up before 4am and climbed into bed between my wife and I. Laid on side behind me playing with my hair and snuggled up next to me. Just one of those real special moments that makes it all worth while.
Watched "Transformers" on the screen last night....pretty good movie. Neat effects.
Anyway, hope everyone has a great week ahead.

I have health issues due to being overweight and that gives me more reason to stick to the the diet plan. I have been on many diets but this optifast is the only one that has worked for me so far the big challenge is when they put me back on food
