Chico, Not that anybody asked, but here's my list of best beers:
Pyramid Hefenwiezen
Anchor Steam
Iron City Light in metallic bottle-lawnmower/cutting grass refresher... best tasting light beer IMHO
Yeungling
Sierra Nevada
Iron City & Olympia-- for Blue Collar Beer Taste
Any local microbrew with tons of hops.
List of "I'd rather not"
Anything mass produced except Michelob.
Anything you can't taste the hops.
Nick,
Have you encountered anything from Sierra Nevada Brewery? It's the best beer in the world...brewed right here in Upper Northern California - Chico, CA to be exact...my home town. Which, by the way, was the northern terminus of the Sacramento Northern Railroad.

Home from the train show. Had some pizza. Now its time to go play trains. Did real well at the train show. Picked up an O Rock double door boxcar, O flat with bulldozer load, O27 horse coral car with horses and a K Line Allegheny with TMCC. And all I spent was $320.00.When we test ran it and wobbled down the track more of a jerking motion really.I thought the drive train was binding and so did the guy selling. He seemed pretty concerned about the wobble and wanted to get rid of it. Didnt even have time to make an offer and he told me he would take $250.00 for it. The allegheny was never run the only I found wrong was the Traction tires are dryrotted with sections missing and bell is missing. Took the tractiontires off and no more wobble. so I'll have to find some spares now. I have a few small problems to work out with a couple switches. For some reason it derails on a few O72 switches sometimes. Also picked up some ground rubber track ballest.I will post some pictures on SFF. Everyone have a great night. Talk to you later.
Best beer - Great Lakes Christmas Ale. Article in the paper said it was #8 best selling in the U.S.

Got home from Indianapolis Firday morning. Between naps, sleep, and fixing French Toast and bacon for Madge for breakfast today, it has taken me this long to read all the posts from page 30 to page 42 on the Coffee Pot!!! Didn't see any snow until Monday mornning in Indianapolis. Got to drive my aunt's car a few miles in the stuff to pick up supper. Left New York Thursday afternoon and watched with glee all the big white fluffy flakes falling between Newark and Baltimore as I was enjoying a Harvey Wallbanger in my compartment on the Silver Meteor. Hope to get some training done in the next few weeks. Prayers and best wishes to all from a cold and wet Jacksonville.

Nick -- Why drink Coors when you could have a cold Budweiser Or my current favorite (wish I had one now) a Sam Adams Winter Lager
Hey, finally got the printer to work from windows - had to configure the printer under VISTA to a tcp/ip port printer - completely uninstalled the linksys drivers and junk and it is working great. I guess the linksys stuff has been usurped by the Vista system and was blocked from doing what it wanted to do? Everything is working now, so I'll say that Vista is not as bad as I had feared, but it is still a little flaky compared to XP, which has become pretty stable on the desktops and other laptop.
Had to run from son's basketball game to Page Ave to pick up Chewy - only about 2 miles from a great train store, but of course no time for daddy to go shopping, had to run home and grab paint clothes and then get daughter to a birthday party. Only one more birthday party today and then we can take it easy.
Found a report on ogaugewatch where they talked to Lionel about upcoming stuff - they are planning to release more cars and maybe some buildings to go with the Hogwarts Castle Express. Also, more european locomotives are coming. Also, the Best Friend of Charleston was a big hit and they want to do some more old time stuff like that as well. Yeah!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Nick--
Why would you drink Coors (some of the worst beer in the USA) when you have acces to this:

Northwoods Flyer--
I'll bet Green Bay is just going crazy as I type this. My Dad had a cousin go to the original ice bowl, we have the pic somewhere. I would love to be there tomorrow--what fun it would be!
Go Pack!

So many roads, so little time.
Greetings Gentlemen,
I woke up to -20 here this morning. You have to love living in Wisconsin. It is a beautiful sunny day, but brutal. I'm just glad there is very little wind. The current temp is still about 10 below. Can you imagine game time tomorrow when the Pack kicks off at -4. Yikes.
Its a great day for working on trains and organizing the collection. The sound of metal wheels on metal track warms my heart........even if the rest of me is cold.

Evening All, Had a busy day working fixing steam leaks. More Brits showing up on the forum. More and more people over here seem to be getting into Lionel Trains.
I think it's Coors time, help yourself to a cold one from the fridge guys/gals.

Cnw,
Which PCCs do you have, and are there ones with voice overs of Chicago/Ill lines? Perhaps I'm being presumptuous to assume you're from the Chicago area. Lemme know about your PCC/MTH experiences. Would love to hear your impressions.
Good mornin' gents,
Sunny and chilly here in Las Vegas. Cinnamon rolls and coffee and off to the caucuses this am. Will help finally take down Christmas tree...Wife's been out of town..her dad had his prostate removed--they got all of the cancer--thank God.
Three loops of trains running in the garage. My PCC trolley by MTH is incredible. It has voice over of all the stops on the trolley line I remember as a boy in Pittsburgh--awesome!!
You all have a great day.
