Man it is cold. 6 degrees on the thermo meter. Almost too cold to go down to run the trains. That is another reason I can't wait to move...finished train room with optional family room.
Have no idea what I am goig to do today. Maybe make a few more videos. Check in later guys!

COLLIN, yep saw those two all I can say is WOW. The old SHELBY, was nice but 675K crazy man crazy. Keep flexing and bending that knee. My left knee doesn't go out all the way and can get it back all the way. Had 3 ops on that one had my ACL replaced and lots o cartlige removed. Now all that is left is almost bone on bone. I think later down the road might have to get it replaced hope not?
Take care and do your PT. Both don't push it, it will cause you more harm then good.

Son is pouting 'cause he needs to clean up his room before he can play some games. Wife is making Disney plans. I'll let her. Gonna get cleaned up in a little while and run my trains for a while. Might run the Hogwarts for a few laps? I can't get motivated, but I need to finish the insulation so I an do the drywall in the play room. Oh well - just so much going on now that when I have some time to myself I just seem to get on the computer and that's about it?

Great job with the snow and cold machine, Chuck. I love it when I see them cancel everything and then we turn off the machine. Of course since the Chief did not go to SS and Church, he is going straight to . This is the third time he has missed this year. (Don, is this what you mean when you say I take jabs at the Chief? )

Good Morning from Sunny California, glad that the reflection is doing so well across the country. S/B another boring day, bright, warm and comfortable. (That's why we put up with the fire, people, shakers, mudslides, floods, riduclous laws, crowding, and everything else.) Hmmmm, maybe we are crazy??
Today is my day for the train room, looking forward to that!!! Trying to decide whether or not to take tomorrow off as a holiday. Invariably if I do, will probably miss a lot of opportunity, if go to the office will probably be very slow. Depends I guess on what I get accomplished today.
My goal is get shelving finished, room cleaned, and some pictures. Then of course their is a couple of football games on. So hope everyone has a great day!
Oh yeah...... Enjoy reading about all that sissy beer. Beer is Beer as long as it is COLD (SOUTHERN California)
Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Sunny and 23 (feels like 9 ) here in the Mid-Atlantic region. All the flakes apparently stayed down in NC, didn't see any here...

Marty, same here so one reason I did not go to Raleigh train show [and some Yankee predicted snow, yes our weather person is a Yank].
Speaking of snohio, 75% of it is gone. Was gone by 2 AM. Seems we repelled those Yanks again. SS and Church was canceled but streets are dry. Everyone canceled last night on the weatherperson's forecast of frozen roads.

Good Morning all! Its a warm 25 degrees here in northern New Jersey. Today I am going to go for the worlds greatest brunch/sushi bar at Mt. Fuji with the family. Then, Ill finish packing up all of my trains and watch the packers beat the new york football giants.
Well, its pretty much official... my mother, stepdad, and younger sister and brother will all be moving south of the MD line to North Carolina near Raleigh. Should be moved out by mid march. I have decided that since I dont like grits and warm weather... Im staying in yankee country for now.
Some bad news about my transformation into being a buckeye. Apparently college isnt free and you need good credit to get a student loan. Right now my credit is not quite high enought, nor is there anyone who can cosign my loan at the moment. So looks like my stay in Ohio will be delayed until the fall when I can get my credit high enough to get that loan. The good thing is now I can work fulltime and get some cash together for the fall...and trains
Finally, I might have a chance at getting a small layout set up! Ill be staying with my dad until my brother and I can find a cheap place to live (if there is such a thing). My father gave me his and my grandfathers collection but I know that if he sees those trains he'll get the bug again. So hopefull we can find a place for a 4x8 or two...or three.
Hope all is well! Enjoy the rest of the extended weekend.
The cat and I just retrieved the newspaper from the front stoop. What a beautiful day in Ohio!! The sky is clear and we are having a beautiful sunrise. Just like Southern California we do not have any snow!
Had a good train running session last evening. Everything is working perfect. (Murphy...Don't screw it up!) Did a little wiring for better operations.
GO PACKERS!!!
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cold 5 degrees. Clear skies. Had a little snow last night. Going up to only 18 today.
Today is a stay inside day. Going to watch football games and keep warm. Maybe later, I will run the trains for awhile. Nothing much new. Still working on scenery, slow, but sure. I need to get a few supplies.
Dining car is here and serving breakfast. Later.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck
6 degrees and still spitting snow sideways here in the North Carolina High Country at 7:15 this A.M. However this week's snowfall has been comparatively light. County and National weather folks are predicting a high of 9 today with 25-30 mph winds gusting to 45.
Wind chill gets ones attention real quick. Nevertheless the weekend's horde of flatland and deep south skiers and snowboarders on Beech and Sugar Mountains don't seem to notice.
Good day for Forum armchair railroading---no layout here except Thomas and Percy hanging around from Holidays
Morning all
A cool 8F is Southern Ohio. Going to stay cool all day.
While on vacation last year had Moose Drool beer. Real good. Had one with supper each night. Sam Adams is favorite followed by Molson. Molson cheaper.
Need to do a walk around to make sure no cold spots and frozen heaters.

Evening all! Been busy the last few days. Back from NYC and then we packed, trucked, and set up the 3-rail modular for the Plano train show. We had a huge crowd today. Lot's o' O Gauge stuff. Bought a prewar 249 that is not too bad and a pair of 022 manual switches in great shape. We have Legacy operating on the layout running non-Legacy stuff (the new Legacy BB is too big for our modular layout). We may have picked up a couple of new members for the club.
Had a huge snowstorm here. Two flakes observed. Got the snowplows out. All is well.
Night all!
Regards, Roy
Just got done running th Lionel NS SD40 with Legacy. Great smooth running and very smoky engine, yee haw. Great time in the train room, basement, FEF and NS SD40. Like my OLD MILWAUKEE commercials use to say"IT don't get any better then this."
Marty will get vids when wife teaches me how to. Will bug her tomorrow. Maybe have em on tomorrow nite?
CHIEF, NO SNOW HERE IN PA.
Hey Mike you just reminded me...
Right before the Holidays my wife changed insurance companies for home owners with an agent who's daughter is involved with the cheerleading program my daughters go to. Well he had to come to the house for some photos and because mine and his wife talk he knew somewhat my interest in O gauge trains.
He comes into our house and sees the Holiday tree layout and goes onto say that he heard of my interest. He had to check the electrical box and furnace. When he got downstairs and saw the semi perm layout with DCS and TMCC doing their thing he was amazed.
Needless to say his wife reports that a train layout is now being discussed for his basement...scale is now the question there as well.
Home from the last birthday party of the day and full of yellow cake with white icing (I would have preferred chocolate icing on yellow cake). I like Anchor Steam beer, had it a few years ago I think? I had a Red Stripe (?) beer in KC just a couple years ago and it was good. My wife had some hefenweisen (?) and said it was really good. I used to like Red Dog beer, but not sure that's made anymore? I love a good cold mug of some microbrew beer or ale - yummy! I watched a show a few years ago I think was from BBC with a guy named Michael Jackson (?) called The Beer Hunter. I still remember that show, but I think they only 2 beers he covered that I have tried were the Anchor Steam and Sam Adams.
Ditto on that Colin, hope you are well.
Good evening all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the teens. It is supposed to get below 0 tonight. We have the heater on for the furball on the back porch. It was an odd day as we really did not do much. We did go to Ponderosa for supper after church tonight. (Saturday night mass. One of the advantages of being Catholic :-) ) Lucas and his girlfriend had a nice time at the dance Friday. It was a semi-formal event. Lucas wore a suit and his girlfriend wore a long dress. They both looked nice.
Good news on the train front. Got an e-mail from the "third" daughter that her husband and son were constructing a railroad. No news on scale. Hopefully they stayed away from the "dark" side of the force. Also stopped by my dad's after church as well and looked over all the HO Plasticville we had accumulated back in the 60s. We have 14 buildings. Also heard a train go by when we were in church. Thought about going outside to see which way it was going but figured the rest of the congregation would not understand.
We had bran muffins (a good breakfast) on the dining car this morning. Tmcc man, glad to hear the surgery went well. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Well it's getting cold here tonight. Went to Greenberg Show today and didn't buy a thing. Didn't have cash and have a business trip coming up that will incur charges on my credit card. Not going to do it.
I'll have to wait a little longer for that Legacy engine I guess. Hey LAZ we need videos brother!
Take care all!
dbaker48 wrote:Had a busy day today, went to OUTDOOR Swap Meet, then played Minature Golf with family, it was probably mid 70's today. Oh !! We didn't have any snow.
Sounds like you had a great day, Don.
We didn't get any snow either.
Hello to all especially you PA residents. I am researching a depot that was located in North Bend, Clinton County, PA. I have attempted to contact folks in the area without success. I have also consulted the PRR historical websites and associated resourses without finding drawings of the depot. If any of you have ever visited the depot when it was there (now demolished) and can tel me about the dimensions. Door and windows would help as I may be able to approximate from the photo. Many thanks.
Evening all!
Been a rainy, yankee, and cold day............ I cant stand it! Its a Saturday!
Chief, really enjoyed the phone conversation tonight.
