Good evening everyone.

(Grabs several slices of Supreme topping pizza Dinner [dinner] )

(Nerd alert on)

By the way, I'm listening to music on my new Apple iPod nano (blue case 4 GB) as I type this. I do need way better headphones than the ones I'm using now (which I used with my older Creative Zen Nano Plus player).

Here are the selections for our SATURDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST:

1.  Anchovie
2.  Cheese
3.  Canadian bacon
4.  Hawaiian
5.  Pepperoni/mushroom
6.  Pepperoni/sausage
7.  Supreme
8.  Goetta

As per normal routine, I've made three extra large of each of the pizzas.

For dessert tonight, we have homemade chocolate chip brownies w/butter pecan ice cream.

Everyone enjoy your pizzas.  I KNOW everyone has enjoyed this beautiful, sunshiny day, and hope everyone has a terrific evening.  And remember:

SPRING FORWARD ONE HOUR TONIGHT BEFORE YOU GO TO NIGHTY-NIGHT!!

My family lives on the Rez so I knew about that. I lived in Flagstaff so it didn't make any difference to me, unless my family came to visit. It got confusing after that

....Joe:   As most folks know Indiana has finally changed over to using DST.  We still have some confusion with it though.  Some counties will be different and to prove it is  confusion I can't tell you which ones.  And yes, I too heard on the news, one county will advance 2 hrs.

My fiancee and I spent a month in AZ last May. If I recall, the Navajo nations did observe daylight time even in AZ. That was confusing when we had appointments for tours. And YUP I love it out there. God willing we will return next year.

Brian, I'm not sure that I understand your comment about getting up for sunrise service after the change for daylight savings time.  Isn't the sunrise service at sunrise, regardless of the clock change?

No, it's 'sunrise' service in name only.  It starts at 7 AM regardless of when the sun comes up.  Easter Sunday is the only Sunday when such a service is added- any other Sunday's first service is at 8:30 AM, which on a Sunday is plenty early enough for me (I normally have to get up at 5 AM on a weekday!).

Beautiful day here, got out to do some UP watching this morning- I'll share a couple of pictures later.

It's a very nice day here, too. The temperature is a pleasant 53 degrees with full sun. It looks like some clouds are moving in, but most of the day has been nice.

I gave my passenger train history speech yesterday and it went well. I have to imagine I got an "A" on it. I'll post it in its own topic a little later today.

Hope everyone has a superb weekend!

Good morning, everyone.  A beautiful day!!!!

Brian, I'm not sure that I understand your comment about getting up for sunrise service after the change for daylight savings time.  Isn't the sunrise service at sunrise, regardless of the clock change?

Also, instead of saving energy by changing clocks forward every year, wouldn't it just make more sense to permanently adjust business hours, say from 7 to 4 instead of 8 to 5?

The best part about the time change is the Trick or Treaters will have an extra hour of daylight from now on.

I think I heard on the news the other morning that there's one county in Indiana that's springing ahead TWO hours...Dead [xx(]

As far as I'm concerned, the jury's still out on whether this is a good idea or not.  They claim it will save electricity (less power used for lights in the evening).  I do like having more daylight time in the evening to utilize, and I do like the fact that the earlier date has less of a chance of falling on Easter weekend (sunrise service after springing ahead is a killer).  I don't like the fact that we're going to work in the dark again.

Good Saturday morning, all!  Bob, thanks for the doughnuts, and putting on the first pot of coffee.  And Joe, thanks for putting on the second pot, and making cinnamon rolls.  Getting a nice, gentle rain this morning.  But the temp is very pleasant out.

Joe, you're very correct with your PSA:  everyone, please

DON'T FORGET TO SPRING FORWARD ONE HOUR BEFORE GOING TO BED TONIGHT!!!!

We don't want anyone showing up an hour late for anything tomorrow morning!!  Since we're doing this THREE WEEKS EARLY  this year, I hope everyone's computers automatically adjust.

Wow! Guess I am first one in here. I grabbed the first dozen doughnuts from the Dave Thomas look-a-like pastry guy. I am making coffee and going to lie down in the corner booth for a while. Oh! Some one is already there. OK I lie down over there.

Hushpuppies are a brand of shoes that dogs just love to chew on.  Here in the diner, they are a locomutt special.  Captain [4:-)]

Hushpuppies are bigger than donut holes. But yeah they are round deep fried cornbread things LOL.

Depends on the establishment, I either like them or don't.

How about some more ketchup with those fries? I think I will order some more. mmm Ranch dressing sounds good with them as well.

Been working on a special project for a friend tonight.  Needed to stop and take a break to let me hands loosen , so I decided to check out the forums.   Saw your question about hushpuppies, Emma.

Brian, you hit the answer on the spike head:  hushpuppies are nothing more than cornbread, shaped into balls, and deepfried.  And they have little pieces of onion in them.

Everyone have a great evening (what's left of it here on the east coast), and I'll see you all tomorrow.

If I'm not mistaken, it's a donut-hole-sized ball of cornbread that's deep-fat-fried.  At least that's the way they're made at LJS!

I think I'll take a late late night snack of some fries along with Duff. I hope its sunny tomorrow they are predicting rain for the afternoon.

Also I hate to sound stupid, but what are hushpuppies? My family doen't have fried food that much, so I am a bit ignorant on the subject.

Hope the weather is good for all you guys out east.

Got the next round of fish, fries, hushpuppies, shrimp, etc. ready and waiting on the warmer bar.  Cold dishes are in the cooler.  Duff, got plenty of fries, so help yourself!!

Just heard our high for today:  73 degrees, after a low of 33 this morning.  When I went to the store awhile ago, everybody and their grandmother was out enjoying the warm air and sunshine!
