mmm...huh? (yawns) Hey, where did the afternoon go? Last thing I remember was seeing a plate of B-Day cake in front of me...then it goes black and fuzzy...(memory, not the cake!)
Well the chicken and dumplings smells great for dinner! I promise I'll leave dessert alone until told to have a slice.

I know - had to invoke literary license for the whole birthday thing....
Nice day for a walk - 3 miles. The Dalmatian is now officially pooped. Will have to make this a daily thing now that the weather is breaking - won't hurt me any, either.

Nightrain, if you want to lock up the cakes until after dinner tonight, I will contribute a padlock and a length of heavy chain.

*brings in a couple of chocolate cakes* Anyone have a padlock for the frdge? It's up for grabs, but only for idnner.
Anyone?
brian and many many more!!!
more good stuff today and saw old and new friends too! Cw need the plate for tonight with some fried chicken.got to go to work tonight.
Good late morning from Sacramento, CA. I'll be here for the chicken and dumplings later.
By the way, the change to earlier DST occurred with no problems. Even the clocks in my house that "listen" to WWVB automatically changed their time to DST--including my watch! My computer, of course, updated to the new DST thanks to a patch Microsoft made available for Windows XP Professional.
Dan, WHAT are you wanting for Sunday Dinner? Just cake and ice cream? Sorry, but before you have dessert, you will have to eat regular food. I've made chicken and dumplings, and fried up a bunch of chicken, and have fixed garden salad.
Brian, you'd better be prepared to eat a lot of Angel Food cake, because I've baked one for you also, here in the DD/CS (well, maybe Walt will help you eat it: Angel Food cake is his favorite cake also).
And Dan, yes, there's chocolate cake also!!
Everyone have a terrific afternoon, and enjoy your SUNDAY DINNER!!

Greetings from Burlington, WI!!
I'm laid off work for this coming week, so decided to come home to my parents and spend some time with them. Also helping my sisters move out into their own apartment, mom will have an empty nest for the first time in 27 years (she has big plans, she says....).
Almost 50 degrees here, snow is melting fast, causing some minor flooding in the area, at this rate, snow should be gone by tuesday or so. All in all, a beautiful day outside.
See everyone later for dinner....

*growl snarl* I hate Daylight Savings time!
Birthday cake and donuts...hmmm........I take some donuts if SOMEONE (looks at CNW600) didn't eat them all...and some tea. LOL
I'll pitch in for a chocolate cake tonight, if anyone wants more of a sugar high as well.
Kentucky Brian, Glad to see you back as well,
Kentucky Brian - Happy Birthday!
It's going to be another very nice day here in Omaha. What more can I say?
Willy
HEY CW, HEY CW, HEY CW, HEY CW...
CAN WE HAVE THAT FOR SUPPER TOO? CAN WE HAVE THAT FOR SUPPER TOO? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.....
IF ANYONE DOESNT WANT THEIR CAKE I'LL GLADLY EAT IT!!!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes. They are appreciated very much. I'm getting ready to head over to my mom's to watch trains and my grandma is fixing her signature Fried Chicken. Ain't nothin' better than grandma's fried chicken.
With the evening sunlight longer now, I'll get to see more train action. I only get to have a 23 hour bday, though.
I'll have plenty of cake. My bday cake has always been Angel Food as long as I can remember.
Happy Train Watching to All.
Brian (KY)
Wow...birthday cake for breakfast! WOO HOO WOO HOO WOO HOO SUGAR HIGH!!!!
Good morning, everyone. Another fantastic day out here in sunny San Jose.

I think I got everything changed over but the VCR and the truck. The VCR sits next to the cable box, so I can just refer to that, and the truck I'll get later, when I actually use it.
11AM and 36! The cold snap is over, but the ugly part of winter begins - all the road dirt comes to the top, I get to find out exactly what the dog snuck out of the trash and tore up in the back yard (always empty containers, like baggies, but they are a pain to clean up).
On the other hand, green grass and flowers can't be far behind!
I'll be at the breakfast bar.
YES!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BRIAN!!
Good Sunday morning, all!! Ray, thank you so much for bringing in the doughnuts this morning, and making the juice, coffee and hot chocolate!
All the clocks were changed last night, except for the clock in our bedroom, and the clock in the computer. Guess I'll try to figure that out in a little bit (or Mutt will figure it out).
Bob, haven't heard from Lance. Hope he's doing all right, and is well. Maybe he's been working a lot, and hasn't had the extra time to stop in.
Guess that's about it for now; will be back in in a little bit, after I figure out a SUNDAY DINNER for today.OH! OH! OH! Almost forgot:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KY. BRIAN!!
To borrow a phrase. "It's a great day to be alive"
Has anyone heard from Lance? AKA railfan1. It's been awhile.
morning
had to adjust my computer clock myself and our cell phones haven't adjusted yet.the only one left to change is the one in my truck.thanks ray for the oj and the doughnnuts.need to go fill some bird feeders.
Good morning everyone. It looks like I'm the first one in the Diner this morning. I've got the coffee brewing and I've mixed a fresh batch of orange juice. And I've put the hot chocolate out on the counter. Donuts this morning are on me, I stopped in at one of our local bakeries on the way to the Diner and bought four dozen donuts.
Currently, we have 29 degrees here in Sioux Falls, and it is supposed to warm up to 55 degrees here this afternoon......It may get a bit warmer than that. So far we have gotten rid of a lot of our snow. I'm looking forward to the day when I can take my mountain bike out and hit the bike trails.
I survived the "daylight savings" time change, at 5:30 this morning I figured I'd had enough sleep. My computer automatically adjusted to the move ahead one hour, now I need to reset all the other clocks in my house. What a pain in the butt!
Caught supper in town before going out with some friends to see a band we all like.
I'll be in the freezer getting some of that ice cream. Then I can reset all of my clocks before I crash for the night....
I'll take a couple of slices of the Canadian Bacon pizza
I hope that everyone survives the time change tonight.

I like that thought!
And I agree with Brain about the time change, I am not looking forward to going to school in the dark again.
CW I will take some of that butter pecan ice cream. I can't get enough of it. I might have to go on a diet if if the diner starts serving this up every week. I think my bowl is going to resemble Mook's purse. ( )
