Thanks for serving breakfast this morning, emmar. I think I'll help myself to some scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. The bacon sure smells good.

Yesterday was a warm one here in Sioux Falls. It got up to 65 degrees here. One of the guys at KELO AM just said that it is supposed to be about the same here today. I'm not working today, could spend the day cleaning all my windows.

Here's the breakfeast menu.

Buttermilk Pancakes or Waffles with your choice of strawberrys, blueberries, jam, whipping cream, maple syrup or butter.

Bacon

Suasage

Eggs- Scrambled or regular

At the Juice Bar there is

Apple, Orange, Grape, Cranberry, Grapefruit and Tomato Juice, Milk, Cofee and fresh fruit including Cantelope and yogurt with any type of ruit you want.

There are also lots of fresh rolls, crossants and rye bread toast.

Have a good breakfeast everyone. I will get to the diner early and get everything ready then I probably won't be checking in untill lunch time.

Happy Railfanning

I talked with CW this afternoon for a few minutes and they said it could be a couple days to get their new modem.

I let her know that the diner meals were being taken care of while she is away.

They're calling for 76 here in the Cincy/Northern KY  area and 79 in the Louisville area for Tuesday. It'll be like a liittle tickle, for they are calling for mid 40's by weekend.

Everyone take care,

Bob,

I've gone back to update my profile several times, and here is a rough description of what that last option looks like for me:

Receive e-mails O yes

Receive Rich (HTML) e-mails O no

Enable Email notifications of replies to your posts O no

The last two options are marked NO. Every time I check of NO on that first option and then click "Save Changes", nothing happens. What should I do, tell the web site's administrator about it?

Ray,

Receive emails should be yes - that merely means that someone can click the email button at the bottom of your post and send you an email.  You can also have Receive Rich emails set to yes.  That means that people can send you emails that are formatted.

Only the last field has any bearing on whether you would receive emails for each post in a thread that you have posted to.  Setting that to no should (theoretically) prevent you from getting emails every time someone posts here.

The system used to allow you to select email notification for each thread at the time that you posted to the thread.  Of course, the problem with that is that you needed to post to the thread to be able to get emails when others posted to it.  The current system is even worse, in that you cannot control which threads you get emails for - you either get them for all threads that you have posted to, or none at all.

If you are still having problems with getting emails for each post to the diner thread, contact Bergie.  He can have someone flip a bit in the database for you.

Another feline in the diner.  Nothing wrong with that!

I'm sure just about anyone will share their window seat with you - the back corner is used mostly by people who need a little time to themselves.  Some times that's by choice, and sometimes they get sent there.....

Well, I don't come round here often, but it sure is great to have so many people sitting around with the same two things on their mind:  Trains and Food.  Now, are there any seats left with a view of the tracks?  I hate getting stuck in the back corner.  Dinner [dinner]

DataFever gives very good advice on the other problem you are having.

For the rest of you guys out there, here is another problem: Everytime I try posting anything with any forum or anytime I try reading any thread in the forums, I get the following message that pops up near the top of my screen, "? This website wants to install the following add-on 'Adobe Flash Player' from Adobe Systems Incorporated. If you trust the website and want to install it, click here. X" This started happening to me within the last week and I don't want this, and I don't know how to get rid of it so that it doesn't keep popping up on me. I have also noticed that my computer is very slow in loading or bringing up anything from the web site of Trains Magazine. My operating system is Windows XP. I don't have the same problems when exploring other web sites.

Ray. On your update profile page, the very last option might be checked to indicate email when replying to your posts. Uncheck it. Then click on  Save Changes.

You probably already did that.

Afternoon all....

Had a little fun after I got done working on the truck today.  With the snowmelt and frost still being in the ground, decided to do some 4-wheeling out by our silage bags at the farm, reasoning that if my dad could make it with a 4wd dump truck, I should have no problem........

The truck now needs a bath, after nearly getting stuck and sliding around in the slop that was the farm road and the field around the bags.  Was fun, though.Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

I'll take a burger or two and some fries, on my own tonight for dinner as mom and dad are busy for the rest of the night with work and fair doings, dad is getting his computer worked on.

See everyone later.

Good Afternoon!

It is really nice here in Omaha today with a temperature of 70 degrees. There is a chance that if everything works out perfectly, we could make a run at 80 degrees tomorrow, but I think that lower to mid 70s are much more likely.

That's all the news I have today. Have a good afternoon/evening everyone!

Yes, Brian. This has been happening with the last several posts that I have been leaving with the Diner, and I am clueless as to why it is happening. I don't like it myself and I don't know how to go about correcting the situation. It's a real puzzle to me! Confused [%-)]

Another problem that I am having is that every time someone posts something in this forum, I receive a copy of their post in an e-mail. I end up getting my inbox filled with unnecessary e-mails that I end up having to delete, and I've gone back to my private settings section to try to correct it, but it doesn't work for me. I should try telling Bergie about it.

Yep, I would do that.  OK, I'll stop adding to your inbox now...
