Happy Birthday to Matt and Sarah.  I hear one of you is going to watch the trains and maybe the other one is going to work on them.  Not too shabby for a birthday.

Weather cloudy but a little windy and so far coolish.  Then it will go to sorta warmish and maybe sorta hotish.  Chance of rain - had some yesterday toward evening.  Cooled things off.

Cleaning day!  (yeah, right!)  Blow a little dust off my screen so I can see it better.

Anyone watching Overspoor in the Netherlands - train action is down for quite some time.  They had 2 cameras in the attic of a house right across the street from a great crossing.  Then they had a fire in what looks to be the attic where all the electronics were along with the cameras.

Sad, because watching the trains and people and parades and tavern - all entertaining.

Moo...

Want to wish Happy Birthday to both Matt and to Sarah, who share Flag Day as their birth days!!  Cake Gift

Its been a busy morning for me:  took everything off my bed, and washing everything.  First load's in the dryer, 2nd load (mattress pad) currently in washer.  When they are finsihed, will be putting the blanket/bedspread into the washer.

The girls will be back home either tonight or tomorrow.  They've been at Mommy's, and they wanted to be around for their cousin's birthday Sunday.  Hard to believe that our little Kaiden will be 7 years old:  seems like just yesterday that I went to the hospital, when he wasn't quite 12 hours old, and saw him.  Did get to hold him for awhile, until the nurse came to take him back to the nursery and go back under the light for his jaundice.

Everyone have a very good day, enjoy it to the fullest, take care and, most of all, keep safe.

Q - No clue as to size of tank on lawn tractor.  I think Millie runs about 18 gal?  But she is so economical.  Maybe I could trade in those minutes @ $20 per for groceries.  We seem to use more of those.

Jen....speaking of gas prices....It's been 4.25 for sometime here...and now the lowest I see in Muncie is 4.13....but my auto requires the good stuff which is at least 20 cents higher.....

Lets see, minutes prices....I hr. = 20 dollars....so at our Muncie prices might be enough gas to us in the lawn tractor...

Mookie, thanks for the words of encouragement.  I definitely need all the encouragement I can get.  So far, haven't made it to get my drops.  Maybe, when my sil gets home, if I ask her nicely, she'll take me to pick them up.  Did get the text message that prescrip was ready, told brother, but he never said anything about taking me to pick it up.

Mudchicken, be careful out there in your neck of the woods, with all those fires.  We certainly don't want to hear of anything bad happening to you and Boss Hen.  And that includes Chris - copcar.  Friends are very important to all of us.

Mooks:  "Klopperei" is a kind of bashing session...SmileWhistling

and since I am ever curious - I did finally go look it up.  It comes from the German.  And that is about all I can tell you about it since you supplied the translation.  But I also think in sound bites, so this is perfect!

Thank you!

First gotta find out from BOC what a "klopperei" (I think I spelled it right) is.  Could look it up but this is easier and more fun.

I am sending some nice weather east.  Went fishing @ 7 am this morning.  Bass are biting and algae is growing.  But cool and in the shade - roll the windows up.

At that early hour before the pedestrians/dogs/mowers start in - Canadas hit the grass with juvies.  The birds, squirrels and geese are more entertainment than the morning paper!

Pssst:  Tree?  Did you find Mom?  If so, tell her hi from the crowd!  ^~^

Yep - she arrived on time (once we figured out what time that was...)

Busy making arrangements for visits with family, etc.   Think we'll run up to The River (St Lawrence) today to take a look at some tall ships currently docked there.

And getting her further oriented to her birthday/Mother's Day/etc gift - a tablet computer.

I'll pass your greetings on to her.

Smoked chicken, tasty......

Little damp here at the house, missed the big stuff so far. Time for bed, have to be rolling at 1am for Fairfield, OH......

You behave yourself in Fairfield (within 7-10 miles north of where I grew up) or we'll have to come getcha. Got a load of asparagus looking for a way to Lincoln.

(and you would also be 35 miles SE of a nicely repainted MILW GP-20 that ought to get your  Cheesepicker's attention in Connersville,IN)

Q - no contract here.  But I have over 100 min that I don't need - in my purse.  So getting 4 more hours - would only make my purse heavier.

Why can't I trade them in on gas for Millie?  Now that makes sense!

Noting your comments on your cell phone Jen....I changed my cell phone and type several months ago.  No contract now.  And somewhat of a good deal on minutes.  Purchase one hr....and receive three hrs.

The deal is good for the life of the phone....It came with 1400 min. too, so need not buy any for a while, but believe I'll do so one of these days and watch how it works.

CW - I have had glaucoma for around 15 years.  Have had laser surgery twice and more rounds of drops than I care to think.  But it is controllable and my eye dr yesterday said everything looks very good.  Drops are a nuisance, however.

Sir Chicken - cof , cof.....maybe go sit closer to "aspragus" .... Mischief

Joe - weather doesn't look all that good.  Actually something I don't think I have ever seen or heard of before.  Remember:  Stay Safe!

Saga of my electronic world and welcome to it.  I know 99% of you have cell phones - no biggie.  Mine is silent in my purse and only used when I want to recharge it or add time.  No emergencies at all.  But tonite - in all my brilliance - I figured out I can use my cell and maybe a whole minute to call downstairs here at the 2 story and have the Driver pick up the portable he has at his elbow to tell him something.  Didn't want the portable either but it came with new answering machine.

Sigh Yelling down the stairs was so much easier and..... free!

Had to go up to Louisville today for my 6 mo. visit to the Opthalmologist.  Glaucoma is beginning to rouse its ugly head.  So whenever I get a text message from the Pharmacy, will be starting on the glaucoma eye drops.  Next dr. visit will be in December.  Other than that, everything else is going all right for me.  Nothing exciting, although I DID get to see ONE CSX train today, on the way to the eye doctor.

I knew it was hot & muggy outside:  the heat index at 4:18 is 101 degrees; haven't heard the current temp.

Everyone have a good evening, take care, and see you all later.

Yeah Joe.  Vacation - mmm - they are nice.  Especially when you never have to go back to work-work.

Fishing @ 7 am.  3 bass. Since I guard Millie while he fishes, I play dodge the sun.  But for right now - I have a good plan, altho it calls for parallel parking in diagonal parking.  But at 7am - I could park in all the parking spots.  Drive me an 18 wheeler, to boot!

Off to organize trains for BNSF.  Lunch under the bridge and a nap between trains.  Nice north breeze.

MC - you and Houston Ed really ought to think about moving to the Land of No Nonsense.  You could just smell the smoke from Colorado and Houston could have heat and humidity offset by snow and cold.  Plus I would have people to take train watching that would know more than I do and would stay awake, too!

AM, PM, what's the difference?   It's calling Mom to see where she is as I'm standing at the airport, only to find out she hasn't left yet, and that I'm 12 hours early at the airport.

That's OK.  Had a nice lunch with daughter and grandson anyhow.

Naptime, then heading for the airport.  Again.
