A nice day here in the north woods of NY, too.   Didn't get much of what I had planned done, but did end up running two calls (one for a microwave oven that decided to catch fire - good thing they were home).  Also fried up the bacon for the baked beans for the chicken barbeque here on Sunday.

I'll probably make salads and set up the tables tomorrow, then it's off to the Syracuse area to help the daughter with her move to a new house.

Time for bed.

Found the bag from CW - mmm good breakfast.  Thank you CW for taking care of us.  Part of us will probably miss out since he seems to think you should eat standard fare for breakfast.  No cold pizza or leftovers there.

Got snow, but it will be all gone by 1st of next week.  More messy than anything.  My life needs messy.

Good Saturday morning ,everyone.  Mookie, you are very, very welcome!  It's always a pleasure to do things for others, and everyone likes to know they're appreciated.  I really appreciate all you fine people who come in here, and put up with me.

We have 47 degrees this morning.  And Spring will officially be here around 1:30 or so this afternoon!!!!!

Joe, please wish Stacey a Very Happy Birthday from all of us here in the Flat Wheel Cafe & Diner.  From your last post, sounds like you have a very nice evening planned for her!

Well, the coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  As a matter of fact, Mookie, here's your coffee mug, filled to the brim, practically, for you.

On the warmer serving station this morning:  Blueberry pancakes and buttermilk pancakes w/your choice of maple syrup, blueberry or strawberry syrup, or fresh fruit for the pancakes, along with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy.

Well, I'm sure some University of Louisville fans are down in the dumps this morning, since U of L lost last night, to California in the NCAA tournament.  That's the only thing I've heard this morning, on the local news, as far as scores go for last night's games.

Everyone have a very good morning, keep safe, whatever you have to do this morning, and you all take care.

Morning all!

Glad to see you all again! I’ve been away, for quite some time. I will have pictures of me doing the wreath at Arlington in a while. I had a blast, but I’m glad to be back here again. I did notice that some folks in DC are REALLY rude!

Well, I have a garage door to help put up today. it's 38, so I hope it warms up a little. I hope yall' have a good day!

Stay safe.

Kitty bag was ready to go, but Lurch ate it after shivvering under 8 inches of funky white stuff. The real heavy stuff showed up in the afternoon and was blown around creating whiteout conditions.

Denver turned into giant stupid-zone during last night's commutes. Compacted snow turned into ice. The carnage on the local freeways led  to several being shut down.

Gotta go to class. (yes Justin, even us dinosaurs still need to learn new stuffWink

CW, "put up with you" nonsence!!! It is nothing but a pleasure to share your home, your "Mutt's" participation and all of the good food.

Warm in the AZ mountains, high near 70 and lots of sunshine, and oh yes, the sky is a brilliant blue. Have a great day and weekend all of you.

Good morning all.  Had a strong line of thunderstorms roll through here around 6:30 am.  Lots of wind and rain.  The sun is peeking through the clouds now and it is currently 44 in Alamo City.

I see a LOT of snow in Oklahoma and Kansas stretching all the way to Michigan.

Enjoy your Saturday.

Another sunny morning here with some puffy clouds.  Earlier in the low 40's.  Cooler over the weekend and then by Tuesday back warmer again and continued sunshine.

Lotstosay  Notimetosayit.

Q - sent you an e-mail - returned - commented on your new moleologist.... Thumbs Up perfect fit for the job!

Joe - Best wishes to Stacey.  See you when you get Bach....

CW - Nebraska never makes the playoffs - so you did pretty well.  BB isn't our major sport - I think we major in football and beer.

Joe - saw CSX on head end of ethenol train heading west.  Was that from you?

BNSF pretty busy late morning/early pm.  Bringing in all mt's from the east and sending all kinds of serious things south.  2 CSX engines going west, one KCS heading west and one NS buried in the west yard - drinking and then heading west.  Wonder if someone found gold again out west?

Moo....

I have received several emails today and last evening.  Computer still needs some work in the mentioned areas, but should be able to receive email now.

What a day- woke up to 2" of snow on the ground, which has all but disappeared thanks to 40-degree afternoon.  Watched UNI knock off Kansas in a classic March-Madness basketball game, royally screwing up 99% of everyone's brackets in the process.MischiefLaugh

Good Sunday morning, everyone.  Brian, I saw the last little bit of that game, before UK played!  That was a good game.  So was Kentucky's.  Wake Forrest didn't really put up too much of a fight.  Another blow out for the UK Cats.  I kind of like Coach C's 'catch phrase' to his players this year:  "Have fun and the plane."

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  And Mookie, here's your coffee mug, ready to have your java poured into it.  I'm about ready for a second go around on the coffee this morning.

On the serving station this morning:  fresh buttermilk pancakes w/syrup, turkey bacon, pork sausage and scrambled eggs.  There's also buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, and grits w/toast.

We have a temp this morning in the low 50s, think the temp's to get to the mid 60s today.  Have some rain coming in, so guess the cloud cover is going to keep the temps down just a bit today, for us.

Everyone have a very good morning, keep safe and take care.

Peace be with you. 47 and clear in Carolina at present, supposing to top out at 72 later with rain and then thunderstorms. Not a whole lot to report from this end at present. Later.

......Our morning is sunshine thru a thin layer of light overcast.  Temp., upper 30's and it will move up.

Our mission, getting our little pup acclimated to her new home...Not easy.

A miniture doxey, 11 mo. of age.   But we've been thru it before but not for 16 years hence.  Before that, it  was min. wiener dogs for a total of 32 years.  Dear family membors, but boy, they are sneaky  with a mind of their own....but lovable.  One of them even stayed in a Disney World {doggie hotel}, while we stayed there, and we had to sign a "menu" what they were to feed her.  That was some years ago.

Good Morning All:

Beautifully sunny but chilly here in Alamo City.  The temp is currently 43.

A Lot of snow in North Texas and Oklahoma northward.  Sure glad I'm south of that.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Mookie - Not sure if you'll see this in time to head for the tracks, but BNSF has got some good stuff headed for Lincoln. One westbound coal train with pure Norfolk Southern power on the point and another westbound coal train with a CSX Gevo on the point. Just randomly decided to wait for trains this morning, and got pretty darn lucky!

Hi all.....

Busy last two weeks, have been running a groove in the West Virginia Turnpike between Trenton, OH and Eden, NC, running interplants for MillerCoors.  Very little wi-fi out there, only at two truckstops in Hurricane and Nitro, both in West Virginia, and I usually don't stop there.

In Sonora, OH, waiting on a service truck, blew out the parking brake chamber on the tractor, and waiting for a replacement.  Should be rolling again in a few hours.

See everyone later for dinner....

Here is our Sunday Dinner menu:

Joe, glad you and Stacey had a very nice time last night.  Everyone have a good afternoon, and take care.

Willy - we found 2 NS engines in our yard just after noon - running around the wye.  Left their load somewhere in the yard.  Maybe they will head back east.  Saw CSX yesterday, but not today.  They were doing a lot of hostling and not much else.

Was nice to nap in the sun....with the pigeons overhead cooing.

And we be rollin'......

Only took a 2.5 hour hit with the brake chamber, still got to where I wanted to get to, jut a few hours later.  When the mechanic pulled the old one out, judging from the corrosion and paint on it, was probably the original to the tractor (assembled in May 2005, I checked).  I know the other parking brake chamber was changed about 6 months ago, so truck should be good for another 685,000 miles.

CW, it's not that I did not have a parking brake, but that I had it when I did not want it, this is usually how brake fires start, also.  Main concern was getting it to a safe place before I ran too low on air, and could not move.

Well, thanks for dinner, now off to bed.....

Sold out by two.  Love it.

Got some modelling to do - I'm assisting with an incident command course and we need a fuming sulfuric acid car.  I may do a molten sulfur car while I'm at it...

My my Misries Mooks, you are up early. My girls got me up, allowing that they had to go outside, and then hollered at the neighbors. 57 and rain in Carolina. That thunderstorm never did materialize, which is OK by me, but it has rained off and on. I managed to trip over one of the wife's booby traps in the dark night before last, and hit down on my left knee. No real damage apparently, but am plenty sore. I think a dumpster is in order for this place.

That's about it for now. Everyone take care.

Good Monday morning, everyone.   Hope you all had a good weekend.  We have a current temp of 43 degrees, and our high today will only be 45 degrees.  Off and on rain showers with a possibility of seeing a little bit of sunshine.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  On the serving station this morning:  oatmeal (maple & brown sugar, rasin & spice, & regular), toast, bacon, eggs.

Everyone have a good morning, and if anyone has any requests for lunch/supper, just let me know.
