Mookie:  you should have told us about your new company!!  I just might have to forget doctor's orders, and order some popcorn from you (and then live with the pain in my colon)!

Today's afternoon and evening meals will consist of leftovers:  pork chop abracadabra, chicken abracadabra, spaghetti casserole, meat loaf, Chinese cuisine, and the leftover chilis from yesterday.

Wonder if Larry is a Grandpa yet?!?!?!Smile [:)]

So that is why the cold weather does not bother her.

Is she using Nebraska corn?

To go along with what CW posted for the dinner menu, guess we will have "Mookie's

Popcorn" for dessert. (now I know what all that noise was coming from, from Nebrasky way!!)

Is that all Mircowave, or do we need to go get a "kettle" to pop it in?!

Z - we are doing budget cuts here again, so maybe living in Florida wouldn't be such a bad idea....

Granddaughter Evie (Evelyn Mae) arrived at 1:35 EST, weighing in at 5 lbs, 13 oz.  Don't know how long she is just yet - proud Dad didn't provide that information.

Mom, baby, and Dad doing just fine.

Larry, Congratulations Grandpa!!!!!! I'm sure she'll be spoiled like any grandchild

should/would want to be.

Mook, have some family that lives in Fl. Cost of living is higher there, stay in Nebraska.

Grandpa Larry, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! I know you can hardly wait until you can get your hands on her!

Supper is on the warmer bar, still cleaning up leftovers tonight.  Basically what is left is the chili:  medium and extra spicy hot.

To celebrate Baby Evie's arrival, tonight's dessert will be Larry's favorite, BEAR CLAWS.

CW, thanks for the opportunity for your wonderful leftovers which I will usually help dispose of, but tonight we had the State Department Commander visit our American Legion Post 6 and a great dinner was served. I am stuiffed (one of my friends? said full of it).

I will be ready for breakfast Friday AM. Goodnight all from AZ.

Good Friday morning, everyone!  Well, the snow hasn't started yet, and our temp is right about 32, give or take a couple of degrees on either side.  They are now saying that after we have snow all day today (supposed to start within the hour) through tonight, we could wind up with 8 to 9 inches locally.  We haven't had this much snow since December, 2004.

Coffee, hot chocolate, hot cider, hot tea are all ready for everyone, and Mudchicken, if you want, I'll heat up some Gatorade for you!!

On the counter this morning:  all kinds of doughnuts, bagels, danishes, bear claws, muffins and brownies.

For those who might have overlooked it on the main page:

DON'T FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS UP TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!!

Having a Blysard.  20-30 mph winds and 1 whole inch of snow.

We have state basketball tournaments at this time each year and it always snows and generally a lot.  Well, this is stretching it a little...but it qualifies.

RIF going on in the next few months so once again I don't know if the plug on this puter will be pul

5:00 AM in AZ and the one who was 'stuffed' last night is now ready for Paula morning offerings. Brownies!!! I only eat them if they are warm or cold so let me at them.

Went out for the newspapers 20 minutes ago and witnessed a beautiful night sky, no moon and no light polution so the stars were spectacular. 30 degrees out and no coat so I did not stay long. Have a great and safe day all.

Mook, that's an awful lot of them, are there enough to go around?!?!

Well, it did start snowing about 7:00am, (EST) and the way it's coming down we might

accidently get that 1-4, 4-6, 6-8, 6-10, 8-12 inches that they've telling us we would.

.....Oh boy, sounds like they do that out on the Plains too....Ever since we arrived in Indiana  {46 years ago}, one hears each season that winter can't be over yet before we have the {basketball sectionals...SNOW}.....I thought that was just this  State, but apparently not.

Walt, as I was watching one of my morning shows...{Morning Joe}, and the weather gal showed the weather map....Wow...Looks like you fellows south of us are poised to see some serious snow the Low system has generated from all the moisture it picked up in the Gulf on it's way up through the Ohio Valley and on Eastward, etc...

We're in it's path too, but just on the edge of it {the projected path now}, as it works northeast.  Maybe 1" today and 1 to 2" overnight is what they are saying.  It's 28.4 degrees here right now.

So, good luck to all in it's path....

Locomutt;  I have aquired a genuine non imiation Weather Dart with a wheel to spin for rain sunshine or wind. Flip the wheel over and you get snow ( inches or feet)  ,blizzard - ice storm- flood due to ice jammin'on the river . F.O.B. for just 3 ( three) gasoline coupons. This device will predict more precise weather.  HEE HEE . Ya'll have any kind of week end ya want.

Sorry about the snow CW.  My folks are coming to Ft. Knox to visit my sister and bro-in-law just back from Iraq.  Seems some must've followed them down there!

I'll take a beagle and OJ.

Congrats Larry!  Start the little one off right: Thomas.  Back later...

Please send said information!!  I will attempt to deliver to our local weather guessers!!

Although the last time I threw a dart, I had to bring it home and sharpen the tip; seems

it "bounced" off somebody's tough hide!

After all the "Cry Wolf" calls, we have about 2 inches on the ground now, with it sleeting.

Dan, I hope they make it to Ft. Knox; It's not closed today, but tomorrow might be  another story...I doubt that family brought "snow" with them, but just make sure that

they give that family member a great big thanks for doing a great job, and doing it well!!

Guess I should have asked Mutt to put out lunch earlier:  I was sleeping (11:20 until about 5 minutes ago).  But I'll have our Friday Fish Fry set out in about 15, 20 minutes.  On today's menu:

1.  Cod
2.  Perch (I know it's Dan's favorite!)
3.  Halibut
4.  Haddock
5.  Clam cakes
6.  Scallops
7.  Shrimp
8.  Flounder

All the usual sides dishes, such as fries, cole slaw, corn on thecob, baked beans and hushpuppies.

Anybody have a good recipe for "snow cream"?  I've got plenty of sugar and vanilla extract, etc., for it, but don't remember how to actually make it!  Ray or Tom, , where are you guys when I need you in the kitchen, or anyone else who can help with desserts?Wink [;)]

Well, the truck is ready for the trip.  Wish it would have been this morning, though.  That winter storm warning isn't going to make for a pleasant trip Saturday.  Hopefully they'll be as wrong as usual and it'll just be an annoyance.

Some perch might be nice.

Walt,
They took it to KS one year and MO another so KY isn't out of the realm of possibility.  They should be there shortly (if not already) and will be staying through Sunday evening.  It's my Brother in Law's (BiL's) 3rd and final trip to the "Sand Box".  He retires with 12 in on 9/27/08.  I'll make sure that message gets passed on.

CW,
I'm working on a project you might like.  Hopefully pics this afternoon (if work stays slow!).  Back in later...again!
