Thanks for having breakfast on Paula. I will have scrambled eggs, sausage and a bear claw, plus my black coffee.

Back from Phoenix where it was 80 yesterday. The desert it beautiful now because of the moisture from the past 75 days. The desert flowers are having their best showing in several years, but in another 45 days it will be the usual bleak and dry desert.

There's still plenty of breakfast for our West Coast patrons; for Mid West and East Coast, there's plenty of leftovers from Sunday Dinner.  It's warmed up and on the warmer bar with the rest of the breakfast menu.

Headache has eased up, but now I'm feeling all stuffed up in the ole noggin and nasal cavities.  Can't seem to win for losing!!Thumbs Down [tdn]Banged Head [banghead]

Hope you all have a good afternoon, and hope some of our regulars who seem to be MIA will soon show up in here!!

day today.  Which is fine.  I have almost 200 pics to go through from yesterday.  I went railfanning for 8.5 hours and got some really, really nice pictures and talked to some pretty cool folks.  It was nice to see some GEVOs in fresh/clean paint.

Joe, got containers ready for you for work tonight.  Also have one for Lance, if he comes by.  And for everyone else, the rest of the leftovers have been heated, and put out on the warmer bar.    Along will those good desserts left from yesterday.

Coffee, OJ & Milk are ready.  I put out some eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, and corned beef hash on the bar.  There's also cereal, donuts, beagels, and bearclaws for those who want lighter fare.  Dig in!

Good Tuesday morning.  Dan, thank you so much for fixing breakfast this morning.  How in the heck did you make it in the door?!?!  I've been trying to get that cotton-pickin' door open for two hours.  Or did you fall asleep in here last night?!?!  Wink [;)]

I'll take a couple of sausages, some hash browns and a doughnut this morning.  Got to have something really good in my tummy, so I can manage to put up with  the Tuesday Produce vultures.  See you all late morning, after I get back home.

Simple.  I couldn't get in the front door...so I climbed to the roof, opened a skylight, and rapelled down to the kitchen!

We'll leave the light on for ya!  I hope you enjoy your snow.

I'll put Mookie's Mug down for her (filled) and put a chocolate filled donut next to it.

The little one is still with Mom this morning, but I hear some stirring, so I suspect she'll make an appearance soon.  It's fun to see her develop more of a personality from day to day.

We're gonna have to start bringing in bearclaws by the box car, along with the tank cars of Gatorade.  I'll take mine with some tea.

Helloooooo everyone!  Finally made it back down to the house.  We had close to 70 people today, and the food selection wasn't too bad, either:  bibb lettuce, potatoes, limes, seedless cucumbers, tangerines and cantaloupe.

Fixing sandwiches for lunch:

1.  BLTs
2.  PB &Js
3.  Open face roast beef sandwiches w/mashed taters & gravy
4.  Tuna salad sandwiches

Except for #3, sandwiches come with:  fries, and a bowl of soup:  chicken noodle, vegetable beef, or cream of tomato

#3 comes with cole slaw, green beans and corn, along

Enjoy your afternoon, and once again, Dan, thanks for taking care of breakfast this morning!!

I am caught up after the trip to Phoenix, but have missed meals (ha). CW, thanks for the nice luncheon spred. It will be Tuna Sandwitch with Cream of tomato, but just a small serving of fries.

Going to take the Verde Valley tourist train tomorrow. I have done this several times but always do it again when 1st timers ask. For those who don't know this is a twenty mile trip down the Verde River (and back of course) where there are many types of wild life. Last time we saw a bull elk, bald eagles and herons plus other more common species. This is really a great trip, so if you are in AZ you can catch it at Clarkdale. The train is very comfortable and the onboard narraters do a great job of alerting passengers in advance of unusual sites, and they spot wildlife for you also.

Mudchicken, Mookie, LC, glad to see you all in this afternoon!!  Big Smile [:D]  Guess we need to put out an APB for:  Ray, Tom, Jay, Duff, Houston Ed, Kozzie, and whomever I'm not mentioning, that hasn't been in here forever and a day!!

Got all the sandwiches, etc., taken care of for tonight's supper.  All freshly made, no leftovers from lunch.  Fries are just about ready to take out of the fryer, veggies ready to go on the warmer bar.  Joe, Lance and anyone else, containers to go are ready, and in the fridge.

Joe, haven't seen any buzzards yet, but have seen robins today.  Am on the watch for cardinals, too.  Just wonder if our pair who had a nest in the front pine tree will come back this spring!!  Hope so, cause we really enjoyed watching the babies in the nest.

Sad to report that one of the forum's own has passed away. Russel Crump (***********) apparently passed away over the weekend in Kansas City of a heart staph infection. Chico has lost another of his engineering tribe. Sad [:(]

That's sad to hear. My condolences to the family.

Something seems a little off, though. Is someone else using his screen name? He just posted in the "Public Animosity" thread a few hours ago...Question [?]

Strange....Got 2 phone calls today, 1 from KC & 1 from Chicago....said the same thing...need to investigate further (Russell's website has been idle for a while and that banner says "due to illness"  ... http://www.atsfry.com/index.htm )

One of his trips here to CRRM's Richardson library, he said that was him...(?) Grapevine error?

Something's not right.

Good Wednesday morning to everyone.  Can't remember what our current temp is, but we're to supposed to make it to 60 by around 6 p.m. this evening.  Sounds like another gorgeous day around here.

Cannonball, our sympathies go out to you and and to Mudchicken, also.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot tea, etc. are ready; and on the warmer bar this morning:  oatmeal, turkey bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, hash browns, tater tots (you get a choice of potato this morning), toast, sausage gravy and homemade buttermilk biscuits, bagels and bear claws.

Going to take requests for our noon and supper meals.  So get your requests in, if you have any.

Cannonball, thank you for thinking of one of our friends, who has been missing.  Guess I just figured that Randy was too busy truckin' to stop in.

Mookie, maybe in a couple of weeks, we'll be able to go out and have our coffee in the garden.  What do you think of that idea?  (Or maybe we'll move our rockers out on the veronda.)

Thanks for the wondeful breakfast CW, I am in Orlando attending another wholesale distributor convention and about to head down to the group breakfast which will no doubt be a bummer compared with yours.  Have a wonderful day!

CW - you are late - I am on the veranda already.  I keep rockin' your chair trying to get your attention.

60+ here yesterday - we will pay dearly for this nice weather.  Sat outside and read for about an hour.  Cool in shade - toasty in sun.  Got some winter chill out of my bones.

Houston Ed is nursing a broken toe.  He temporarily forgot the law of gravity.  I will pass on all the sympathy!  Shy [8)]

I am bored - busy but bored.  Anyone got any ideas to spice up my work day in between doing all the paper work?  Everyone needs a break in the work place every so many hours.

Off to see who left what in the food department.....
