Good cool fall morning all. (about 38 here right now.)

I'll make sure the coffee is going because I can sure use a cup to warm up with.

Joe, haven't seen any really strange road names on units around here, we seem

to have the prerequisite local roads (CSX, NS, RJ Corman, P & L, L & I) and all the

leasing company units including a few UP ones. (yes Mook, every once in awhile there

is a BNSF unit on some of the trains) Will be very closely looking for a Ferromex unit on

the next sojourn out railfanning.

Set most of the clocks back last night before going down, but still don't think I

regained the "extra" hour of sleep! Woke up at usual "Body Time"!

Ed, hope PT and other things go well for you. Just keep up the PT.

CW finally got back from train watching (and other things)

Accordingly, she didn't see a lot of trains, but found a LOT of bargains at the store(s)!Confused [%-)]

Joe, USPS brought us a very nice surprise, how many can we order?

(Three are looking good right now,(maybe more)  liked the pictures.)

Been off the road for a couple years Epilepsy has a way of doing that to a OTR driver.  However even my PT therapist can not keep me from thinking about all the pain I have endured from this shoulder considering the injuries are over 3 years old according to the doc.  Called an abusive ex-wife and she hated me getting the care I needed my current one she islike if you need it get it done.  Next step for me is the brain surgery that will fix the Epilepsy maybe if they can find the focal point.

CW isn't back from train watching yet, so I guess I'll put out the menu for tonight's

"Pizza Fest".

On the menu are:

ACL- Anchovie

Pennsylvania-Pepperoni

Chessie-Supreme

CSX-Extra cheese

GO Transit -Goetta

SAL-Sausage

Chef's Special: C & O, B & O, WM, L & N, and a few assorted others mixed in.

(no ingredients for N & W or Southern tonight.)

Remember that there are always a few others upon request.

(subject to cook's approval !)

Flying, driving, sitting at a desk is not fun.

[been there, done that, and thankfully I don't have that T-Shirt]

(Diamond Plate Desk? That has to be hard on papers you're signing or working with)

We started off at 35 this morning, to get to 60 something this afternoon.Really good

day to do yard chores. (if you have too.)

What Larry said about the smoke detectors do it!! And if you have detectors that have

10 year batteries like we do, check the detector anyway!!

Don't forget to set the clocks Back an hour;  better you wake up an hour early;

than Not At All!!

....edit.... CW did say that she would be in later to do menu for the Sat. Pizza Fest.

Frost on the ol' pumpkin here this morning - 18 overnight.

But 50's are forecast during the day.

Got some outdoor chores, so that's a good thing.

Time to get to work.

Don't forget to "Fall Back" tonight - and change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

Ray, I was up before then, about 5;30 EDT.....when I went out to get our paper, the

indoor/outdoor thermometer was showing 35 degrees. The official NWS temp. is from

the airport, must have been all the "Hot Air" from the UPS' jet engines!

And quit talking about that four letter word!!Smile [:)]

Think I'll have some pancakes, bacon, eggs and coffee before going train watching.

Let's see, Joe has gotten the juice out, and Railfan1 has been cooking pancakes. That leaves me to fry some bacon and pork link sausages. I will also scramble a few eggs and throw some french toast on the grill while it is still hot. Chef [C=:-)] I am pretty hungry this morning! Dinner [dinner]

I got out of bed at 6:00 CST this morning and we had a temperature of 24 degrees here in Sioux Falls. I've looked at the weather conditions in Louisville where Mutt and CW, and Sarah live, and it's a bit warmer there with 38 degrees. The longer we can keep snow at bay, the happier I will be, although I would like to see just a little bit for the photographic possibilities that it would present.

She's done with going to PT, she just has to do the exercises at home now.

Don't think it qualifies her as a "Bionic Woman", (no Holiday Inn express) but she does

now have to carry a card stating that she has "Extra Metal" in her body, for if and when

she goes through metal detectors.

(and she has no plans for joining a "Heavy Metal Band"!!)(that I know of)

Glad PT wasn't too tough.  You'll eventually be done with it.  Will that make you a 'bionic woman' then?  Able to decipher tall posts in a single reply, faster than a speeding electron, more powerful than a locomotive?

Hello all!  Made it through therapy, got home, and took a long nap.  Feeling much better now.  My therapist was male, and he liked to tease me:  particulary about my cane, and then this week, my walking stick.  Telling me to not decide to hit him with it.  Told him I wouldn't do that (while thinking to myself, if you really make me hurt, I might give you a level swing!).  Fortunately, he never made me hurt too badly, so he was safe!!

Our Friday Night Fish Fry is now on the warmer bar.  Fish on the menu tonight:

1.  Catfish
2.  Cod
3.  Hallibut
4.  Flounder
5.  Perch
6.  Shrimp

And we have the usual sides of fries, hushpuppies, cole slaw and all the usual desserts.

Hope you all have a great evening, and if anyone's going to any football games, I hope your team wins.

Last time I got hurt my 'therapist' looked straight out of the rowing section on a Viking Klingon Warship.

Ed, when I was in PT after the wreck, the ladies that were doing the PT were such that unless they nearly killed you, you wouldn't complain.... The entire female staff were lookers.... The male staff on the other hand looked like they broke out of the zoo!!

OK, finally some time to make a meaningful post...

Good luck, Ed.  Luckily for us our kids are grown, and the oldest and his wife just moved back in with us last week, so now we have some extra help around the house.  I assisted in the move from Orlando by flying down there and driving the Budget Rent-A-Truck back- I'm still recovering (the driver's seat/quarters and the rear door are made for people 6'-4" and under- I'm 6'-5").

Our daughter's wedding went off without a hitch three weeks ago- they flew to San Diego for a week next to Mission Bay, and left the day before homes started going up in smoke.

Joanie's still dealing with issues related to her knees- they still hurt in spite of the Syn-Visc injections, but now her hips and back are adding to her woes.

Work has been getting much busier as well- on that note, time to terminate this post.  TTFN...

Had a senior moment at our house.  I won't name the individual but think a lot of you can identify with this.

Went into the hall closet to get jacket, fumbled around in the dark to find the one wanted, turned around to exit, switched on the light and then exited the closet, closing the door.

I heard some mumbling coming from that area as the closet door opened and the light was switched off......Laugh [(-D]

Good Friday morning to one and all!  Well, this is my last day of PT!  The good thing about that is:  I can take less pain pills!!  Do not like taking Percaset, or the generics for Percaset!  They just about knock me off my feet.

Coffee is ready, along with fresh juices for today, and there's plenty of hot water for tea this morning.  Got the doughnuts and muffins for our Friday morning chit chat.

Mookie, until I have to leave around 10:15, think I'll join you in the window, and do some "lurking" myself!!

He just wants the soap mug, soaps, brush and stand. I got the leather shave bag extra. He's already got the double edged razor that he loves. He hates them new ones with four or five razor blades in them, since they cost so much.
