Boo! Boo?  Blah!  That's the extent of my Halloween practice.

Joe - sent you some greenies haulin' coal.  Got a B23-7 back haulin' freight!  Nice trade-off

Great weekend - just not long enough.  Freeze came just in time - "doze" was runnin' again.  Little better this morning.

Off to snag beagle (thanx CW) and press nose to window waiting for next train.

Good Monday morning, to everyone.  Coffee, juices and hot chocolate are ready to go this morning.

I don't think we have any frost here in the Metro area; believe the frost went just to the west of the city, in the outlying areas.  Our indoor/outdoor thermometer shows 41 outside, so it's anyone's guess this morning.

On the warmer bar, you all will find:  turkey bacon, pork bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, homemade buttermilk biscuits, milk gravy, and fried potatoes.  And if anyone likes fried green tomatoes, got some this morning.  There's also bagels (beagles) for Mookie, and bear claws for Tree.

Congrats to any Boston Red Sox fans, and my sincere condolences to to Colorado Rockies fans.  I was rooting for Colorado to win the World Series.  Sad [:(]

Hope everyone has a good morning, and if anyone has any requests for lunch or supper, please let me know, o.k?

Sorry about being an hour late posting Sunday Dinner, but here's today's menu:

1.  Fried chicken w/mashed potatoes and milk gravy
2.  Roast, potatoes & carrots
3.  Meat loaf w/mashed potatoes
4.  Beef noddles

Other side dishes are:  corn on the cob, or creamed style corn, your pick; shelly beans w/onion; broccoli & cheese casserole; cinnamon flavored applesauce; cole slaw; garden salad

Has anyone read the book, "Train Man", about a man who blows up railroad bridges along the Missisippee River?  Curently reading that.  Took three chapters to really get into it, but it is now getting very interesting!

Good Sunday morning, to one and all!  Joe, thanks for putting the coffee on, and making the juice and hot chocolate!  That hot chocolate tastes pretty darn good this morning (and you all know how much I love my coffee)!

I've got breakfast ready:  turkey bacon, sausage, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, country fried ham w/red-eye gravy, scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, french toast, hash browns, bagels and bear claws.  Also have some cantaloupe chunks and pineapple rings are on this morning's menu.

Our high today is to be in the upper  50s, with a frost advisory for tonight/Monday morning.

Heard from  our illustrious owner, JHH, the other day.  He was going to come online, and say "Hi" to everyone, but guess he got too busy, around the house.  He's doing all right, and hopefully, one day soon, he'll be able to drop into the Diner.

Everyone have a great day, stay warm, and I'll see you all later, with our Sunday Dinner menu.

SactoGuy, thanks for the reminder on the calzones.  I'll make a note to include them next Saturday night!

May I make a suggestion you make a calzone the next time you do a Pizza Fest?

Lance, very nice photos!!  Sure will be glad when I can get back out and go railfanning!  Just can't stand around that long, right now.

Here is tonight's PIZZA FEST MENU:

1.  Anchovie
2.  Cheese w/extra cheese
3.  Goetta
4.  Hawaiian
5.  Mushroom
6.  Pepperoni/sausage/mushroom
7.  Supreme
8.  Veggie

Plus,  these dessert pizzas:  apple, cherry, and peach

Hope everyone has had a very nice day, and have a very good evening.  Everyone, enjoy your pizzas, and maybe later on, around 9 or so, we'll pop some popcorn, and maybe have some hot chocolate or cocoa with it.

Thanks for sharing those pics. I especially liked the one with the Firehouse and Tanker

in one of the shots.

CW should be in reasonably shortly with tonights pizza menu.

Dan, Squirrel survived last night, was not on Sheesh-Kab menu.

(unfortunate that he survived, not unfortunate that he was not on the menu.)

Good morning everyone.

(Grabs a maple bar and a mug of hot coffee)

I had the most miserable experience with iTunes software last night--one podcast subscription caused the program to hang for no appearent reason. Angry [:(!] Fortunately, I check Apple's online troubleshooting guide and was able to fix the problem by rebuilding the iTunes Music Library code. Smile [:)]

Be back later for the Pizza Fest. Dinner [dinner]

Good Saturday morning.  Lance, thanks for putting the coffee on, and bringing in the doughnuts!  I've got fresh juices made, and they're in the cooler.  Also put water on for hot tea.  Think I'll take a plain doughnut this morning.

Hope you all have a great day, and I'll see you all back in here tonight for our PIZZA FEST.

Good morning everyone. Coffee is on and doughnuts have arrived. I'm going trackside for a few hours. Have a safe day in whatever you do.

Take care.

.....Cannonball:  Guess I had to take a pass and keep my head toward the project this afternoon, but really enjoyed the nice day we had.  Indy was getting rain with that strange movement of a Low system moving west, north west....and we missed it.  Just a small amount of it later.  But a good day.

Guess the last Berkshire we had in here has been 765, but it's been a while now.  It used to be a pretty regular visitor.  Have many pic's of it filed away.

Raining now, but it was nice all day and I got all the bulbs back in the ground.  Should be an interesting flower bed come spring.....  I have no idea exactly what many of the bulbs are (although I think I picked out most of the tulips and put them where I wanted them).  I did find the lilies (I think), so one corner will be the "lily pad..."

Unfortunately the forecast is for wind and rain Saturday, which will make the outside work on the RR a little less enjoyable.

Time to wrap up for the night so I can get plenty of rest - staying the night near the station Saturday night and I never sleep well the first night or two in new bed.

.....Looks like a start of a beautiful day here in Muncie...{oops...even hear a train "whistle"}, and that adds to it all.  Bright sunshine, my yard seems to be making an effort of recovery from the long draught we've come thru in past months, and seems like a day to keep working ahead on getting ready for Winter stuff.  And yard mowing.

Temp now 55.  Should warm up a bit more today and the stiff wind has passed.

Speaking of train "whistles".....While in Muncie, it is possible most of the time to hear a working train in the area at one of our lines....Ask Carl as they visited here last week and as we sat conversing at our "depot", there were trains in the distance {and passing in front of us}, practically all the time we sat and visited.  So not too shabby of a location to be a railfan.

....Update:  12:49........And the beauty continues....75.4 degrees now.  Yard mowing finished and now on to other stuff.....

Dan - I am a very sensitive individual....Big Smile [:D]

Having said that - I can do maybe two cups of coffee a day and then it will make me twitch while I nap.....

However, milk in each side would be nice.

I think I know the one you are referencing.  IIRC that was indeed funny.

Mook, you know those 'adult beverage' hats that hold one container of beverage per side?  Perhaps you could modify that somehow too hold coffee pots.  Might keep you more mobile to hide/run away when needed.

You discuss, I will listen with my head in my saucer.

The weather is cool/cold at nite and in the 60's during the day.  Makes a body really lazy (ier)

Lots of hot coffee needed this morning.  Full moon is reflected in the rest of the forum.  Put more rocks on the grocery list!
