Good Friday morning, everyone.  Well, it's very foggy outside this morning, and we have a 20% chance of rain, mid morning and then around 4 this afternoon.

Coffee, juice and hot water for tea and cocoa are ready this morning.  There's aslo an assortment of doughnuts, bagels, and bear claws out on the counter for your breakfast this morning.

I'll be picked up about 9:45 for my therapy this morning, so hope someone around here can get started on the FRIDAY FISH FRY in case I'm not back at 11.  Now, I'll call this Friday morning meeting to order (as soon as some others show up in here, and we can discuss all things railroad and anything else.

Dan, come to Louisville and help us get rid of one in the house!

Seems like it didn't find enough nuts outside for the Winter, and is now looking to find some more on the inside. I don't think we qualify for that title just yet,..................

but he's working on it,especially when it's terrorizing the model railroad layout.

(particularly since it's not an O Scale figure and keeps moving around!!)

(and I thought cats were bad around a layout, sheesh!!Shock [:O])

(guess I'm going to have to get one of those "Humane" traps and if it gets caught, let it back out with the other tens of thousands of them stupid rodent critters.)Sigh [sigh]Angry [:(!]Censored [censored]

Friday for me, too.

Gardening tomorrow morning - before it rains again.  Funny how we complain about how dry it is until it won't stop raining.....

Good Thursday morning, to one and all.   Hope everyone had a good night, last night.  Still a little cool around here, think the current outside temp is about 53.  But it is quite windy outside.

Coffee, juice and hot water for tea are ready.  On the warmer bar, you'll find turkey bacon, sausage links and patties, fried taters, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, toast, bagels, bear claws, blueberry and bran muffins, and cinnamon rolls.

Have another PT session later this morning, so don't know if I'll be back to get lunch.  There's plenty in the fridge and cooler, so I know you all will be able to find something for lunch.

Talk to you all later.

Dan - box 'em up and send 'em to our house.  Our busy street keeps the population down and the smarter ones get peanuts and corn.

It's Thursday.  What do you do with Thursday.  It is past the middle, still not the weekend, not a color day (Blue Monday, Red Friday).  Guess I will just sit quietly until it is Thursday nite and then start celebrating Friday.

Wonder if MC got BH a blender?  I got one for Xmas one year.  Got a can opener, too.  He is no longer with us.

No glads - tulips, irises, and some lilies.  Maybe more than I need, but I can probably find homes for them.  They aren't as bad as rabbits, but they do multiply!

Most of the rain is gone from our area.  Might see a little bit more, probably only sprinkles or drizzle.  Got my doctor appointment and PT appointments  (rides to and from) scheduled for next week.

Making today MEXICAN FIESTA DAY.  On the warmer bar:  tacos, quasadillas, enchiladas, beef burritos, beef & bean burritos, Spanish rice, etc., along with tortilla chips and salsa, and con qaso.  Figured the heat from the Mexican dishes could warm up our insides.  Anyone want to fix a to-go container, to take home for supper tonight, feel free to do so.  Made sure I made enough of everything.

Now, I'm off to do my exercises that I can do here at home.

Dan, what kind of critters are you dealing with?  We are having a problem with squirrels.

Jim - they all sound like flatlanders to me.

MC - I tell the Driver I have an immediate need all the time and I still don't have my 1 carat yellow diamond with white pillars on either side.

Or my new winter boots - which are looking more likely!

Will take de Boyz anytime - our backyard needs a little roto-ing.

Sorry Mooks, Blender came attached with husband in the wedding papers (I think it still works). BossHen had an immediate need, so the elephant and the tommyknocker were spared.

Clay soil? Pull out the rototiller and the shovels. Mix in a little topsoil and some claybuster. Then borrow the boyz to help plant the gladiolas and the other bulbs.  (They have to be right there with you during planting and have a blast in loose dirt - digging machines that terriers be....)

Almost an inch of rain yesterday - in the form of an all-day drizzle.  I need to mow the lawn again - after over a month of not having to touch it.  Still need to finish replanting bulbs, which is no fun in my heavily clay laden soil, in the rain.

Wind and rain took out most of the leaves yesterday.  Oddly, some trees changed, others didn't (and I'm not talking about the evergreens), although they are showing some colors now.

This coming weekend is the last 'regular' weekend of trains for us.  I signed up for a lot of the Polar Express excursions, though.

I'll be out in the garden with my tea, bearclaw, and everyone else who's gathered out there.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone.  Mookie, here's you some toast with peanut butter on it.  I'll be right out to join you.  Glad it's dry in the Diner Garden:  we're still getting rain, here in Louisville.

By the way, coffee and juice are freshly made, and I've also made fresh tea for our tea drinkers.  On the warmer bar, you'll find:  bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, toast, various jellies, jams, preserves, marmalades, oatmeal, cream of wheat and grits.

Walking out the door to join Mookie in the garden.

^.........

Q - I was trolling for a radio station that didn't have politics or zombies and I ran across Indianapolis at 3:30 this morning.

They were just doing general talk and someone called in from Ohio - I swear it sounded like Joe!  Then I realized that the Ohio Valley has a very slight accent.

And we met some gentleman at the watch spot that were from Wisconsin and Manitoba (Go Canada!)  Only talked to the Wisconsinite, but there was that unmistakeable accent of the north.  (I am still not sure how they found Lincoln, but they were photographers and were very careful to take their pictures without tresspassing.)  You could almost see the locomotives smile....Cool [8D]

Warmer here - sunny - very nice fall weather.  But the trees just won't change.  They are staying green since we have had so much rain.  Not complaining, tho - we will take any moisture we can get!

CW - little peanut butter on my toast this morning?  Nice morning to sit on patio and drink coffee and dunk toast...........Yeah!! [yeah]

I'll grab another bowl of the stew and bread then make some containers for those who need them for work tonight.

Got a letter today from my bro-in-law.  He's active-duty Army and was supposed to be in Baghdad for the next 5-6 months.  He will now be in Africa for a shorter duration.  That's one prayer partly answered.  I hope he makes it home for the birth of his next child: he missed the last two for the same reason.  Off to write a reply-later!

Mudchicken, hope you and Pat have a great anniversary evening!

Okay, I've got the next round of beef stew, cornbread, etc., out on the warmer bar, all nice and hot.  (And that includes all the pies and chocolate cake for dessert).

We are still getting rain!  Supposed to continue off and on for the next day or two.  One area around here, in the Metro area, has picked up over 5 3/4 inches in the last 18 hours or so, since the rain started.

Everyone have a good evening, and see ya later!

Mookie, glad you and Driver got to go out for breakfast this morning!

And I'll second the HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to the fowl pair!!  (Gee, wonder who that could be!! Wink [;)]

The beef stew is ready, and I've just taken the first batch of cornbread out of the oven.  And if anyone wants anything else, I've also got corn on the cob, and a few hot apple pies that are ready to come out of the oven.Do you want whipped cream, or ice cream on top of your pie?!?!
