Speaking of rehab, I got home about 1/2 hour ago.  Ended session with big ice pack wrapped around knee for about 10 minutes or so.  Felt pretty darn good!!

We are under a tornado watch until midnight.  Looks like some thunderstorms may be on their way into our area.

Got the pizzas out of the oven, and on the warmer bar.  On tonight's menu:

1.  Canadian bacon
2.  Cheese
3.  Mushroom
4.  Goetta
5.  Pepperoni/sausage/mushroom
6.  Hawaiian
7.  Supreme
8.  3 dessert pizzas, with apple, peach and cherry

Everyone have a good evening, and those in this weather pattern, take care!!

Ed - oh my goodness.  We have enough aches and pains in getting older without adding injury!

Well sounds like you had good medical care and now mending.  At this rate, we will have to open a wing of the diner for recuperation and rehabilitation!

Mookie called Epilepsy and having a seizure and face planting onto CONCRETE Memorial Day with my arm straight out in front of me.  I dislocated it to the rear and messed it up big time to the point I had to see the Team Docs of the Bulls and White Sox for it to get fixed right.  Thank God for Medicare and Medicaid to pay for his bill.  His presurgical consult was 2K alone that was hat he billed Medicare.  What was supposed to be a one hour surgery normally took 3 hours to do.

Good luck with the rehab Ed.  I hope all goes well!

I'll try a cup of coffee this morning (first one ever!) and see if that fully can wake me up.

....Temp now 67.6 and a bit windy.  1" of rain overnight and we sure can use that....and we too are under some weather threats until 10 and as I note, that time just passed.

Partly sunny today and more threats this evening of severe weather.  Overnight destruction down south west of us shows tornado action that ripped up plenty of homes.

Almost all of Indiana is in the moderate threat for this evening and later tonight.

Windy and warm and some sunshine seems to be it for today, before the threat really moves in this evening.

Good Thursday morning, everyone!  We are now getting rain, and are under a Tornado Watch until 10 a.m.   Supposed to be very warm (predicting a high of 85 here in the Metro area), and high winds.  Hopefully, I'll make it back home from rehab, before the late afternoon round starts.

Ray, think I'll take some oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, and buttermilk pancakes for breakfast.  Woke up HUNGRY this morning.  That hasn't happened for over a month, now.

Think I'll fix some open-face roast beef sandwiches, mashed taters and gravy, green beans, sliced carrots, and cole slaw for lunch today.  Will also work on some pizzas for supper tonight.  Figured we have some baseball fans around here, who'll be watching the game tonight, to hopefully see Cleveland go on to the World Series, and that'll be a nice supper for you all.

Uh oh, weather radio is going off.  Better go  see what's happening.

I'm a bit late in showing up this morning, but I've got the coffee brewing and I got your favorite coffee cup out of the cupboard, Mookie. The coffee should be ready in a few minutes. And I've got a fresh batch of orange juice ready for pouring.

On the menu for breakfast this morning: Oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon, pork sausage links, raisin bread and cinnamon rolls, buttermilk pancakes and french toast with plenty of maple syrup. Chef [C=:-)]Dinner [dinner]

I hope everyone out there has a good day!

Okay, I've got supper ready.  It includes everything I fixed for lunch today, along with leftovers from yesterday:  roast, taters, carrots, and the Mexican Fiesta that Duff also contributed last night.

Joe, got your lunch for tonight taken care of.  It's in the fridge, with your name on the containers, as usual.

Now, everyone grab a plate (or 2), head on over to the warmer bar, and fix your plates.  I don't want any leftovers tonight, o.k?

Dan, glad to hear you found some very nice slides.

Ready when the food is!

I did find a fun slide I didn't realize I had.  Back in '93 my parents let me borrow their camera and go to Neenah to take pictures of 'train stuff'.  At the time they mostly had things put on slides.  I was helping them sort out a box of things and we came across some of these slides.  One of them was an ex-CNW GP9 FRVR 4506.  Kinda made my day.

Well, looks like meat loaf w/peas and mashed taters is the suggestion for today's lunch.  So, I've got it all made, along with some salad, corn, and applesauce for lunch.  Everything's on the warmer bar, so come help yourselves, and enjoy.

Looks like we may be in for a little bit of bad stuff tonight, and in the morning.  Hope everything has cleared up, by the time I have to leave for my PT.

Meatloaf for lunch is an excellent idea. When I was a kid I used to turn my nose up at meatloaf, my Mom would make it every once in a while as it was one of my Dad's favorite dishes. I have since then discovered that left-over meatloaf when it is cold, makes the one of the best sandwiches for lunch. Dinner [dinner]

It's cold and wet here in Sioux Falls, and we have a gray, overcast sky. We had gotten better than three inches of rain here since Saturday night. I got up this morning at 6:30 and our temperature then was 49 degrees. I don't think it will get much warmer than that today.

Good morning everyone.

How about meatloaf with peas and mashed potatoes for lunch? Dinner [dinner]

By the way, the weather is really changing in my area. We've been getting cold nights and even some rain, too.

Good Wednesday morning to one and all.  Joe, thanks so much for making the coffee, and juice this morning.

On the warmer bar, you will find:  turkey bacon, sausage, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns and home fries, bagels, bear claws, and some fresh fruit.

Here in the Metro area this morning, we have very cloudy skies, no sun shining yet.  Believe there were some areas in the outskirts of the Metro, who did wake up to fog this morning.

Do I have any requests for lunch menu today?  Other than leftovers from supper last night.  Looks like it was a very slow night in here.

You all have a good day, and take care.

Dan and Ray, thank you both for your contributions to the noon and evening meals!  It's greatly appreciated!!

The next round of roast, taters, carrots, etc., are now on the warmer bar, along with leftovers from Dan's lunch.  There's plenty for everyone!

Joe and Lance, there are containers made up, and in the fridge, for you all to take to work tonight.  As usual, your names on the the containers.  And you even have some birthday cake for dessert tonight.

SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL:  Thank you all so very much, for keeping things going in here, while I've been recuperating (and continue to recuperate).  Starting this Thursday, I'll be going two or three days a week to outpatient physical therapy for extra work on the knee, to get it working even better.

Have a great evening, everyone, and keep up the good work around here!!
