I currently own 58 engines. Out of that, 49 are BNSF, 7 are UP/CP, & 2 EMD Demo SD 60s. At a minimum 40 are 6 axle and the rest are 4 axles. My layout is 12X33' and I use Digitrak to control my locos. I use all of my engines over the course of a year but Im big on Grain, Coal, and Intermodel, so my SD-60MACs, SD-70MACs, & C44-9s get to do most of the work on my laout. I do not own any passenger but if Kato builds the new Amtrak engines I will more than likely run at least 2 full passenger trains.

I own roughly 40. I say roughly because I do kit bash and I go to hobby shows and pick up odds and ends so I cannot say exactly how many locomotives I do own. My most unusual ones are the ones I picked up on a trip to England. I own a HST from the late seventies and several British Freight loco's. I have recently built a SD90 and will be painting it to fit in with my CP Rail collection. I have a few steam locos and my favourite is the UP Pacific since it was my first kitbashed loco that still runs well. I feel that people who want to wait until their models are finished they don't really activily model railroads as my set up is always being modified or totally redone. I must also say that I own 4 RDC's and have several that are "retired". I still run my very first loco which is a Sante Fe F3 which I recieved when I was five. I blame my grandparents for my condition for they got me started with a TYCO train set for my fourth Christmas and it ballooned from there.
Stay safe, support your local hobby group Stop, Look, and listen The key to living is to wake up. you don't wake up you are probably dead.

Not currently sure of the number right now, but very close to 100. Most are in the D&RGW liveries. 17 are SD40T-2s, 7 are GP40s, 9 are GP30s, and 6 are GP35s. I do have three steamers, 4-8-2, 2-8-2, and a 2-8-0. I have an FP7 for WP and an FP9 for the KCS.
Mostly HO scale, but I do own one LGB set. Can't resist buying Rio Grande locos.

Five in all, if you count a MOW kitbashed IM-Mack railtruck and a scratchbuilt light rail goose. The standard locomotive roster includes: 0-6-0, 2-6-0 and a 2-6-2. All are set up as oil fired. I've no idea whats next but the line is in the market for some heavier motive power.

I currently have 21, all HO scale. I model the Southern and the L&N in the late 40's-early 50's, and so have a mix of late steam and early diesel. When the Broadway Limited Heavy Mikes arrive I'll add 2 of them. I think that will complete the roster.
At least that's the game plan thus far.

I'm fairly new to the hobby, and only own five engines, all in HO. Three steamers: IHC L&N Heavy Mike, an IHC L&N Tea Kettle, and a Bachmann Thomas the Tank Engine. I also own two Union Pacific SD40s, neither of which work.

I have not counted them, but I enjoy collecting them. Isn't model railroading so much FUN!!!! My favorite is the early steam; brass when I can find them and Round House Products. Now that they are RTR it is great because they run so very smooth with directional lighting. All I do is add more piping to them to add the finnishing touches.

I have 7 - 2 steam and 5 diesel. My favorite diesels are the Atlas RS3 (I have 1 L&N and 1 N&W) that I bought back in the mid or late 1980's.
