Steven: The old shoes was all he took, besides the food he ate. It was more slight vandalism than anything.
ED: I could put cameras in but I don't have internet there ( use cell hot spots) Nothing I could do anyway being 4 hours away, but call the popo and most likely they would be long gone.
This guy had broke into numerous houses in this area and squatted hiding from the police.
and because he stole my shoes he gets charged with burglary. He is already in the pokey for Auto theft.
One piece at a time, yeah that's how I'm going to build the 351w HiPo HO for my truck, it will cost me a dime though!
Steve
If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough!
Hey ! This was real, and it was fun.
It just wasn't Really Fun.
We'll have to do this again sometime.... In the meantime I gotta hit the rack... nighty night y'all
Track fiddlerI'm sure it is an indigenous tree for the area Ed, but we don't have those up here in our neck of the woods, especially with 4 trunks.
There are some varieties that are supposed to be cold-climate hardy. Brother of Stanley.

I had one a few years ago but actually lost it due to drought.
Cheers, Ed
Little Timmy Track fiddler I may have to do some back research involving Euell Gibbons. Didn't he do some ad's for coffie with "Chicory" in it way back in the 70's ?

More than likely you are correct. He was kind of a nut that proved more things were edible than people thought.
He did do a lot of commercials. The one that sticks out in my head is "Did you ever eat a pine tree? Many parts are edible!" I don't remember what commercial that was for though. Maybe Grape-Nuts.
I have seen those crape myrtles around here Ed, and how did you know I have a brother named Stanley?
They are replacing the diamond in Deshler OH, right now

Florence won't be here until Tuesday. Sorry for the folks flooded out down South.

On a more serious note I feel bad for the people of the Carolina area.
The weather man on our local news stated how many trillion gallons of rain was dumped yesterday alone. It is calculated out to be 25 times the volume of Mille Lacs Lake.
You can't believe everything you hear on TV, regardless it's way too much water and It's still just sitting there.
Howdy.
How about a ride on My Old Kentucky Dinner Train ? .... Great food. Fun train ride... Station is in Bardstown, KY.

Morning diners,
I think I have a vacuum leak in my truck, I'll be snooping around under the hood later to see if I can find it.
I also have to get the spare tire to stop dropping.

You can spray carb cleaner around your vacuum connections while the engine is running and when the enginee stumbles there is your leak.
Thanks for the train ride Garry, nice pics. I had the prime rib, give your cook a raise !
Eveing Diners
Flo, give the gang and I a Crown Royal and everyone eles what they like.
Home care works are under paid! While she is not realy being mean, it's like she finds things for me to do that does not need to be done? Case in point. She was in the bathroom and wanted me to bring her some pills from the bedroom, took said pill and had me take it back to the bedroom. Hum, could not take the pill in the bedroom? Yes, she has water in the bedroom where she takes her other med's.
Little better today. I have to use a Lifting belt (not weight lifting belt) to help her get out bed. She has been taking two and three tries. This eveing she got it done the first time! So either she or myself is getting stronger, hope it is her.
I will do nothing for her (but getting her food) but I will help her do anything as long as she trys her self.
Her Blood Surgar is a train wreck. Her last A1c was a 8.6! This morning it her blood suger was 197 and she thinks that is fine? After a 30 carb breakfest 3 hours later it was 202! I am now tracking what she eats and it's carbs like I did when I got my diabites under control.
Got to do the laundry, Ken
I hate Rust

I remember that commercial, But I actually remember the Carol Burnett version better. Tim Conway Play's the part of Euell Gibbons, and he start's eating thing's " NOT meant for human consumption". At one point in the show, he say's , " You can also find nourshment , in the human arm". And then BIT Harvy Corman !
I laughed for a week !
Rust...... It's a good thing !
Sounds like a rough road Ken. It also sounds like you're a good mate when the chips are down. I'm sure you could tell many stories when she was there for you as well.
You hang in there and keep your chin up. Things will workout.... they always do
You know it never ceases to amaze me how serious posts and unserious posts seem to come together and Clash from different parts of the day all at once
I am hopeful Ken's wife has a speedy recovery as well as his sanity
And
That Euell Gibbons sure was a trip in the seventies.
Just trying to make light of the subject folks
Thanks MLC, I was going to use starter spray in the same manner to find it, it won't be till next weekend after payday.
Little Timmy, I accepted your friend request.
Good evening, everybody !
Ken ... Ditto what TF said to you.... Your wife needs you now, and you are doing what you should. Kudos to you and prayers for your wife.
TF ... Glad you liked the prime rib....
Cheers !

Steven! Handsome dude!!
I'm not an expert but I think you handle your autism pretty well.
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Thank you Dave, and everyone else for the compliments.
NWP SWPI was going to use starter spray in the same manner to find it,
Diethyl ether?
I can't say for sure but I'd be awfully nervous spraying that stuff around a hot engine. When used as an engine starting spray it gets sucked into the intake and burned off by the ignition.
Spraying it outside the carb you run the risk of it getting ignited by a plug wire or other spark.
Carb cleaner possibly has a lower volitility rate, thus less likely to flash in your face in a ball of flame. Some guys I know use brake cleaner but that is pretty high in volitility, too.
Other guys I've seen use a propane (Burnz-o-matic) torch and just let the gas flow, don't light it , and when the idle jumps up, there's your leak.
Better get some advice if you don't want to get your eyebrows singed.
Just sayin' Ed
Could someone just post Johnny Cash Sunday Morning Coming Down. I would do it but I don't know how. I could find a CD and play it for myself but that just wouldn't be quite the same, no one else would hear it. I bet Stephen doesn't even know what a CD is.
The diner is in Tennessee in honor of Johnny Cash. In the meantime I'll post my buddy Ervs garage where I usually watch football. This goes along with Nashville.
My friend Erv has so many guitars. This is only one third of them he keeps in his garage at a time and plays along with the radio when a song he knows comes on
I don't even know how he keeps them all tuned but he sure plays well
It's still Sunday and it's a good one.... Don't you think?
Brent
"All of the world's problems are the result of the difference between how we think and how the world works."
Speaking of Johnny Cash reminds me of Elvis Presley. Elvis's estate , the Graceland mansion , is very worthwhile. .... 650,000 visitors tour Graceland each year. The only house with more annual vistors is the White House.
It's been several years since we toured Graceland, and I must say it was very memorable. Elvis was unlike most of today's entertainers. He was a much better person.
Thank you Brent. I don't have to scroll down to see what Batman's name is anymore. That was a different version than I've heard before. Enjoyed it.
My wife grabbed the phone out of my hand and put it up to her ear like it was some Boombox or something...... Thanks for that
My truck runs EFI no Carb, just a throttle body and injectors.
Oh and CDs, yeah I actually have quite the collection (for a iGen, or millienial, or Gen y, or what ever), I've got almost every Billy Joel album on CD, three Styx Greatest Hits CDs, and Little River Band Greatest Hits CD, and two Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness CDs.
And I've got several different Vinyl records, Billy Joel, of course, Andy Williams, Dean Martin, Styx, LRB, the list goes on.
Story for today, I went to Sunday school, the teacher asked us what our ideas of our "perfect life" would be, someone said "if I could live in Hawai'i" I replied "the only way I'd live in Hawai'i is if I could own a Ferrari" (specifically a 308 GTS) but anyways all the kids just stared at me blankly, the teacher got the reference, I had to explain to my fellow church goers the connection between Hawai'I, a red Ferrari 308 GTS, and a show (now about to be rebooted) known as Magnum P.I.
Another story about cars, last Sunday I was at the grocery store when I saw a girl from my Sunday school group, she was driving a brand new Mustang GT, now this girl is one of the "upper crust" kids in the group, I immediately thought, man she's got great taste in cars, but I'd hate to date her. Then again I can trump that cause I've got a 69 coupe in my yard, that's MINE, I just gotta put an engine, transmission, interior, wiring, basically everything into it, if I swap the 302 out of my truck I could put it in there, but a 351w would be a better swap in general. I actually wanted (and still do want) a FastBack AKA the SportsRoof, but I got mine for 500 bucks plus 600 to ship it, the coupe has grown on me though.
Here's something else to note, a study in 2013 showed 32% of girls find a guy who drives a pickup truck most attractive, and that 16% of girls find a guy who drives a FORD most attractive, both those figures were the top picks, Chevy and sports cars came in close second. Praise the Lord for Mr. Ford!
Well if we're in Memphis and it's Sunday night, how bout some Elvis Gospel!?
Regarding Nashville...
Here is an old photo of Nashville Union Station..
Brent. I grabbed my phone back from my wife and watched the second Sunday morning version you sent. Johnny's helicopter friend.
Thanks Track Fiddler
