in a stormy Southern mug, please & thank you!
***Terry, are you kidding...I could care less about a pilot lite. It performs superbly and that is all that matters. I'm stoked!
Sun popped out for a bit and now Round 2 is heading our way. Should have just enough time to get some feed out and then it will be time to hunker down . Uh....spoke to soon, just heard a big rumble of thunder. Better hustle. Have a great day all. Rob

You tryin' to whip up on my record or somethin'?
Philip, you are welcome to take back top of page honors anytime.
Hey, siren went off twice with this latest storm. A tornado was in my county and did severe damage with some fatalities, but it was far south of here. Barbara is heading in for work, right into the storm.
Rob
I'll have a salad with French dressing and a lemonade !

Hey, Bill has the tab for the page! I feel like having a LITTLE sandwich.
Afternoon all,
Jeff, nice video, looks like a busy spot for train watching. Matter of fact it looks like you designed a convergence right there. Are those 2 side by side ovals passing near each other?
Diesel is $4.19/ gallon up here today. Need to buy a big tricycle with a basket and a small trailer. OH and I want a bell and a quad tone air horn like Conrail had.
Went to the Lakeland collage train show (NMRA Div. 5) this morning, only a 30 minute wait to get through the doors. The gymnasium was closed due to a water leak so they moved everything into various class rooms. Nice flexibility to the last minute changes. Seems the only casualty to the show was the loss of some operating layout space. I think if they do this again I would recommend sorting the vendor rooms by scale to limit how many shoppers try to stuff themselves into one classroom.
Rob, glad to hear the brunt of the storms passed you by.
Bill, nice pictures.

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010
I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

Good afternoon, All.
Mark,
Let us know how you like MS train simulator. Larry has the MS flight simulator, and that is fun.
Sue
Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
***Sue, my wife has wanted that Flight Sim for a long time, but it continues to take a backseat to other stuff. How does it work for Larry?
Strong storms here today. Last one dropped pea+ sized hail on us, sending most of the horses sprinting out of the barns & shelters. (must have been LOUD under those tin roofs) Some wicked cool lightning, also. In the middle of one storm, it suddenly got deathly quiet for about 30 seconds, then opened up again with a roar. Cool! And now a rainbow has appeared as I type.
Question: What is "Fixed DC" used for?
Been watching all those train shows on the History channel. Rob
Evening Gang:
JR thanks for the advise on the tranny. I'll make sure that is what is done.
Rob we heard about the tornado in Atlanta. I heard the there were no deaths there.
I went over to the track today and helped with replacing ties on the main line. I don't know how many ties we replacd but we only got to the first town. I guess that's about 300 ft down the line. I spent the time hauling ties with my diesel locomotive. It's actually gas but looks like a SW 9 when the body is on. The last part of the line in Grissley Flats was burried under a bunch of ballast. Just the tops of the rail showing. I raked and loaded 2 cons of ballast that didn't need to be there.
Daisy the Dog wants to go out so I'd better get going.
Good Night All

Hello everybody...
Rob .... the GA storms have been in the news. Glad you are safe.
Gav ... the London - York train I mentioned last night was dark blue with a red or orange stripe of about 18" below the windows if I remember correctly. It was a double ended train with locomotive at each end.
I'm still working on scenery.
Happy Model railroading.

That would be either a GNER class 91 with dvt ( driving van trailer ) if overhead electric or an hst 125 if diesel. AS an afterthought GNER has lost that franchise.

You weren't paying attention, son. I posted photos of Paul's railroad, including his steam engine, back on page 37. Use this link, it's about in the middle of the page. 3 photos.

can I have a strong cup of tea please.
One of the little angels has just chucked a bag full of gone off curry all over the floor of the lift. So just spent 15min. cleaning it up and as the other lift has got "lost " again good job someone
told me about it
Sorry evening Ed.
Good Evening Coffee Clubbers,
Another beautiful day down here in Paradise. But it got up near 95º (35ºC) by mid afternoon. That's just a touch on the warm side for me.
We made things worse by going out to play golf, and teeing off right at noon. Yeah, that's tempting heat stroke all right. I chunked it around the course, and will blame my poor score on the heat. What's that old Noel Coward line about "Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the noonday sun..."
The coffee is good and strong tonight, as always. Goes well with Fran's strawberry ice cream pie.
No progress, au usual, on the layout. But I did get a bit more reading done in an old book on the NdeM that I picked up at a used book store in Mexico City a couple of weeks ago.
That's about it from down here this evening. Catch up with you tomorrow.
Hasta mañana,
