, in a AT&SF mug, please & thank you.

***Jeffrie, 007 is a real beaut.

***Fergie, hope all goes well for you out there. Sounds like a rough day ahead. And I hope you somehow end up with that brass BigBoy. Those brutes are cool.

***Garry, not exactly but I do give the wife a ribbing about it now and then. If I fall asleep first, then I'm fine. I may snore occasionlly as well, but she tests the house foundation when she gets going. (shhhhLaugh [(-D])

***Philip, getting those staples out is another step in the right direction. Sending healing thoughts her way.

Overcast & raining here. Time to get busy here. Cowboy [C):-)] Rob

'Morning Gang; Just a quick one. Mary Ann is feeling a bit better. Right now she is asleep. Rob if I talked about Mary Ann's snoring I wouldn't have to hear it for a long time. I'd be sleeping out in the barn.

PC: I'm happy to hear that things are goin well for the Mrs. Give her my best.

Well I'm now feeling a bit under the weather. I better get out and get to work while I can.

Tracklayer it's good to have you back.

LeeThe truck is a '84 with the 6.9 diesel. It's really been worked to death but the engine is still strong. I guess we'll get it fixed up.

See you all later.

Jerry, I'll probably have it as a sand and gravel dealer, with another part of the layout being where the quick-concrete dealer is. Haven't completely decided just yet, since I don't have that section of the layout built so far.

I received this mystery box today so brought it into the studio. As soon as I cut open the top, the assault began. I managed to snap one pic of the carnage. It was over almost as quick as it began. WARNING, the pic is very graphic:

....................................................................................................

The ol' Throttlepack didn't stand a chance. At least these tough TECHII guys put it out of it's misery.

***THANK YOU, Terry. Will make it up to you down the road. Looking forward to trying them out later tonight. It's back to work now. Cowboy [C):-)]

For the last month and a half the positive battery cable on my car has been trying to drive me out of my mind. This thing is for cables in one and isn't available in the parts stores and the people who make it are very proud of it. It didn't matter how clean the connection was or how tight it was, any time I would go to start the car it was almost guaranteed that the connection would go dead and I'd have to wrestle the clamp (side post trash) around. It would get contact and I'd try again, usually getting it to start. Well, today my federal tax return came in. I headed right out to the parts store and got a charging post to convert the positive terminal of the battery to a top post clamp and the clamp I got is one that the local heavy duty car stereo guys (including my nephew) swear by. This thing is a monster. It has holes in it for four cables and can stand up to a constant 300 amp load, which was just what I needed. The main cable for the car, the cable for the computers, the cable for the fuel pump and electronic police air horn and the cable for the fire dept light bar. All is connected and functioning beautifully. The only piece I had to add to make it complete was a thick sheet of hard plastic to keep the clamp from making contact with the front rail of the engine compartment.

This is a sad day here. In getting things ready to sell this place in hope of better job with VA I had to start taking down the shelves that my trains are on as some of the shelves blocked a closet entry way and need to get that door back on . So I've been packing up my trains this evening I'm going to try and leave one shelf on one wall so as to keep some of my trains still out I'd go thru withdraw LOL.

What an interesting day!

I've got to tell you all about this!

The wife got the staples out OK today, and she's doing well on that, but on the way to pick her up I called and she told me that after the appointment we're going to have to go to the emergency room!  Seems my son was playing last night and hurt his finger (I knew that much), but now it's twice the size it should be and it's all black and blue!  I told her to call her doctor as he's a hand, knee and foot specialist and see if he'll be willing to take an x-ray while we're there and get him all fixed up.  The doc said it was no problem (This doc is awesome!).  So we go there and it's a slight fracture in the growth plate, but it's bad enough that he decides on a cast (my son thinks he's the coolest thing since sliced bread now because he has a cast).  Then he see's my son walking down the hall on his tiptoes, like he always does because of his muscular dystrophy, and stops to examine him about that issue (the doc knows our family history of MD).  A few minutes later he's telling us about a new surgical procedure that has just come out that will relieve the tightness he has, and while he may have to have the surgery again when he's done growing (because it could tighten up again as he grows), after that, he may never have to have the surgery again and he may never see the wheelchair that was predicted for him by age 25!  He may die of old age, walking!

You can't even begin to imagine how happy my wife and I are right now!  God did such a wonderful thing when He brought this talented surgeon into our lives!  Now my wife will be walking for many years to come instead of being confined to a wheelchair, and my son may never see his own wheelchair!

I've gotta go scream from a mountaintop now!

That was my IHC 2-10-2.

I guess it's time to put my car in the shop again. I was coming in from town a while ago and had to slow down for slower traffic. I pressed the brake pedal and it went to the floor, I mean ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR! I pumped the pedal and the brakes came back. I checked the wheel rims to see if there was any brake fluid leaking out, couldn't find any. The brake reservoir is full so that's not the issue. This has bad master cylinder written all over it.

PC: That's outstanding news about your son, and your wife also. Yes that doc sounds like a real winner.

Evening Gang: Mary Ann is feeling a bit better and I'm am still doing OK just achy and tired. I started to mow the grass (weeds) in the far back yard. I need to sharpen the blades on both the riding tractor mowers. I really don't like doing that as I have to get under the things to get the blades off. Fortunately I have a come along to hoist them up and plenty of solid blocks to hold them up. It really takes three hands to get the things off. One to hold the pipe wrench so the hubs don't turn. One to hold the socket wrench on the blot and one to turn the wrench. This time when I put the things back on I'm going to use anti-seize on the bolts.

Hi Bill: It's good to see you in the evening. I like that depot. So, how's retirement going?

I added more fluid to the transmission on the truck and it did help enough to get it into it's usual parking place and out of the way. I still have to find out how much for a rebuilding or swap out.

Well I guess I'll hit the road.

Good Night All

IHC (International Hobby Corporation) is the company that markets the model, the loco was made by Mehano. This particular model was originally in CN livery. I repainted it in the tourist train colors of the Midland Gulf Railway, my fictional road.

 refill, thanks!

***RT, hope all goes well for you so those trains are not boxed for too long.

***Philip, that is WONDERFUL news about your son and that surgery. Wow, I'll bet you feel on top of the world with that news, as does your son & wife. That kind of positive news is so good for the soul, should help the wife heal faster now.

***Some car trouble around the Diner lately. Noticed our pickup starting to "tap" until it warms up. Glad summer is coming. Guess it wouldn't hurt any to do an oil change with synthetic.

Tested the first TECHII and it confirmed my old Throttlepack was having problems. Whew, so glad the problem wasn't with any of my locos. Will hook up the second TECHII shortly and give another loco a run. Love the slow speed control. Told my wife one of them was hers, which she appreciated. Big Smile [:D]Thumbs Up [tup]
