Did get my video dvd's taken care of.

Havn't heard much from John F, must be working on his Reunion Book.

Good night all.  Watched the movie The Illusionist on Showtime.  Comes on again tomorrow at 5:20 PM EDT.  I recommend it highly.  Figure out the end before the end. Question [?]  Great acting.

I'm glad I am in the "safe" zone, I hear Buckeye is making a trip south.  Wonder'n if he is part of the conspiracy?  You know he has a long relationship down there...........

More I think about it, wonder if he was the "inside man" on the great grits conspiracy.  Seems awfully coincidental !!!!!   There may be some "double agents" among you Ohizo guys.

Morning all,

10:00hrs here in Peterborough. Bright and sunny makes a change from the heavy rain of yesterday.

Will try and cut a couple of hedges in the garden today if the weather holds.

Took Charlie to a friends birthday party at LaserForce yesterday afternoon. The Wife and I then escaped for a hour and a half to go shopping. Went into a couple of book shops who's staff were looking a little tired. They had been open since midnight for the new Harry Potter book launch. Waterstones looked like it had been raided! I think they had around 10 copies left when we past through.

Had news from Marty @ MA&PA that my Williams 773 Scale Hudson is on the way with its matching cars. Can't wait, ordered it for my birthday back in April.

Fingers crossed the weather stays good for the next few days as the gamesroom and garage is due for the roof tiles to go on Mon/Tues.

Have a good day

Well Laz you've inspired me...

I purchased a mountain bike about 4-years ago.  I used to ride a lot...Planning to log some time in the saddle each day with the girls in the bike trailer behind.  Been partial to the rollerblades the last couple of years, pushing a stroller.  It means loading up the kids, and taking them to the park with paved walkways.  We live on a gravel road, difficult to skate.

Yesterday yardwork, placed parts order to the good Dr..  Time to fix all the train ailments.

Nothing much going on today.. Church, bikeride, trains, dinner with friends.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny and 70's here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Much better today, thanks dbaker48, csxt30, and Chief (I think...)

ROY - have a safe trip.  If you're spending all your pennies on this journey, will we see you in YORK come October?

rt - try to dodge them crazies on Route 40. (Not much better on 81 either).

csxt30 - Is the HAZ-MAT team 10-76?

Good morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 58 degrees. Going up to 80, today, with sunshine all day.

Today, I am taking it a little easy. Got all of the grass mowed, yesterday. Took about 4 hours. Getting better. I need to run an errand, to a local store and then relax for a few hours. Wife is doing much better. A little pain, but nothing like a few weeks ago. Two more weeks and then she goes in for final xrays. Looks good.

John...( csxt30 )...You almost exposed the secret project on your workbench. Be careful.

Dining Car is here and is early. Time for breakfast and then I will send it to " points west ". All aboard.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Chuck

Good morning from a sunny and cool Crystal Lake where I plan to go to church today and maybe even venture into Chicago to visit with my brother and his wife. Yesterday, I spent the afternoon with my friend who had the same eye symptoms and subsequent fixings that I did - our wives' call us the Cyclops Twins because we had two good eyes between us. But it was enough to watch a few ball games and the Busch qualifying trials. (he has a better TV and cable).

There are lots of great stories of local trolley and interuban operations. Great photos, Tom! They criss-crossed much of the country in the early part of the last century - and have inspired my layout.

Those blocks sure look useful. Something to browse for the youngest. I'm hoping to begin to tackle a Plasticville school house I got for my birthday - hope to carve it in two to use as depots in different locales against the backdrop.

Good morning to all.

I had a good nites sleep only 1 nature call and for me thats a very good nite. It looks like we will have the same weather as many others, low 80s and sun. Again I have not planned my day guess I got time to run a train or two. I also have to thumb back and find that redneck dictionary, need to practice. Have a great sunday and I will be stopping by now and then today.                            Sir James

Sir James - was just over on the Tennessee side of the Smoky Mtns.  Cades Cove, Pidgeon Forge, Gatlingburg and back over into Cherokee, NC. last weekend.   All is well.  Nice and cool up there.

Had a wonderful visit with Dewey and Barbara up in the Blue Ridge of NC yesterday.  Beautiful place and really cool up there.  Nicest people you ever met - enjoyed some of Dewey's homemade peach and strawberry ice cream.  Please remember them both in your prayers as Barbara will be undergoing some delicate surgery on Aug. 1st. and Dewey will be having some dental surgery the week after.

Actually bought hi-test gas on the way to the mountains yesterday for $2.99!

Hubby's gout acting up again - his hip is doing great.  I don't think I'll ever get him well!  Well, let's go freeze some corn and work on lunch!

Have a great week all!

Anyways have a great rest of the weekend.

Lisa,

We have been there once and liked the area but I was suprised at the difference on the two sides of the smokeys. Not knowing the area I was not prepared for that. We are glad our daughter ask us to go with them. We were thinking of a trip to Waynesboro Va. but I'll gladly settle for this.

John,

Late 1940s I got a set of American bricks made from a clay substance, had a dark maroon  color, and went together like yours. I still have them and I wish I could show them to you but as you have probably read I don't have the equpt.        Sir James

Jim : I've seen them in an antique store once where they were just like mne & made out of wood. I should have bought them !!  I think they were first made out of wood & had paper windows then when plastic was invented, thay made them out of plastic. Oh, I remember seeing some from England, made out of clay & it even had the box & instructions !! I wonder if that's what you have ? !!

Thanks, John

Sunday greetings John.

I never saw wood ones but one of the neighbor kid had the clay ones and of course I had to have them. They have plastic window inserts with a green edge to look like a window frame and orange wood peices to go top and bottom of window openings with slots to hold the windows in place. It seems the clay ones disappeared when the plastic ones came out.        Jim

Afternoon guys,

Just got back from caddying. $50 bucks, which brings the grand total to $450 bucks in 12 days. Me like it a lot. I'm thinking of buying a projector instead of the plasma now. It can double for my use, and the use for movies outside in the backyard.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Evening everyone,

Took a nice hot shower, and shaved. I broke my toe a few weeks ago, but never had it wrapped or anything. I hit it against a goal post yesterday at my friends house. Now it really hurts.

Fife, I'm scared, sir.Wink [;)]

Mike C., How does MLS win over Ireland? I thought for sure those europeans would have won! And Chelsea didn't dissapoint me. I think Galaxy would have won for sure if Beckham would have been in longer, but his ankle held him back severly. Oh, since you like F1, you can probably appreciate my soon to arrive Ferrari hat and shirt. Now I have to order the Ferrari Racing Team shirt..................Mom, I figured out my birthday present.........it's only $130!.......looks like I will be buying it myself now.
