Im still trying to decide weather to go with fastrack or tubular! Its a constant argument in my head!!!
I hear voices too...but they don't argue with each other, man that's wierd.
You have dimensions for the new room where the trains will reside right? I say build it on the floor! Just make the main lines shorter to save some time. It's a great trial to see what you like and dislike about your layout. I guarantee you'll make changes. Then in the fall you can go crazy with the finished product!
Look at mine...It's on chip board, and I have to turn the switches manually. So???
(retorical arguement...at least it's not carpeted chipboard)
Build it... Build it... BUILD IT!
Besides...We haven't seen any photos of your trains.
Kurt
You mean build it on the floor, see how I like it, then build the real layout right?
I think Ill go with tubular, much better price. Wierd Kurt? Wierd? To here them arguing? What? Where? Devil and Angel arguing on your shoulder? Yea! Like that! Long live tubular!!!!!
About pics, I dont have a photobucket account or a digital camera. Is there anyway to scan the pics with a scanner on my printer and post them on here without a hosting sight account? I could copy and paste, but my internet says this site can view things i have recently copied or pasted, so im woried about that.....
I can tell you I have a pennsy flyer set and a B&O diesel pw cell. series set. REALLY NICE SET! GET ONE, YOU WILL LOVE IT! HORSE AND CORRAL CAR AND LOG DUMP CAR!!! ONLY $700!!!
So, we will see.

No Dewey. Wake Med is Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Big heart and etc hospital. Its about 10 miles from me. I prefer Rex though [which is now part of the UNC Hospital System. I can understand now as you shortened Wake Forest Medical. We call it Baptist Hospital. Great folks there. Boman Gray is a great school [guess it is still named that]. Turns out some fine Dr's.
Bed time. Don B, will try you again tomorrow.
BTW: if this software gets any worse, I think I'll move to OGR [and that is bad]. Just quoted Dewey and it says "non matching quote blocks in post". It drops posts. It has to be clicked on more than once or it freezes and just sits. Sometimes I come back and it has dropped my sign in and I have to re-sign in. Sometimes it says I am not signed in and then goes to my account showing I am signed in and then I go back to CTT forum and I am signed in. Changes font sizes right in the middle of typing. Wastes more time.

Good Morning everybody!
Little late getting home tonight, last minute customers. Got home, everyone was insistent on going to the movies, so saw Oceans 13. Pretty good, not much different in the story line, but still a good story.
Sorry missed your call Chief, no problem everything is cool. No worries.
Adam I think we were posting at the same time. What is your major? How big is the layout? Post some pictures when you can.
I saw some posts from Reggie on another thread. It would be great if he would come over and say how everyone is doing. His daughter, train layout and the job.
Buckeye that's a good looking mess of fish. (Speaking of that is "mess of fish" a midwestern colloquialism, or common everywhere? I've always heard it used in reference to fish that are being prepaired for cooking or have been cooked.)
I've been playing around with trying to print some panoramic scenes. Apparently, with either Photo Shop, or Elements, there is a wizard which makes it relatively easy. So going to give it a go.
Take care all, Hope everyone goes well with the Drs. !!!!!!

Gamesroom and garage is coming on a treat.
Have a good one
Nick
Nick, Im not sure what "treat" means but, that room sure is coming along. When do you expect it to be habitable? Won't be long I'm sure.
Are you putting a regulation size pool table in there, or is it a Snooker table? Sure looks like it will be a "fun" room!!!
0645BST here in a cool Stockport. Dry at the moment but forecast is for more heavy rain and thunderstorms, we've had record rainfalls with some places getting a years ration in a few days (global warming! don't they talk bo***cks?).
Nick, nice train room. Hope you got the timber from Jewson (they use trucks), not even the Jensen can take the bashing the Cheif dishes out.
Best wishes to those experiencing medical difficulties. I have a respiritory infection that has affected my hearing, so I am spared SWSBO telling me off for not taking medication. Talking of medication; I was being doped for arterial degeneration (passive smoking related), blood pressure etc. The side effects were pretty rough; gum desease, guts trouble, trots, sleep problems, tiredness to mention a few. Decided to quit all pills and potions.....never fealt better.
Blimy! I was going to say so much, can't think of a thing, it's all gone fuzzy, Robinsons?
Ditto (latin)=as before/previous.

Hi

Photobucket (I use Shutterfly) is (are) free. You can post your photos from there. The Pensy set sounds great! I'm a UNION Pacific guy for obvious reasons.
I have family in Northern Indiana.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a beautiful, clear, sunny 57 degrees. Going up to 76 today, with sunshine all day. Humidity is lower and rain is gone.
Today, I have a few chores to do around the house, and a few errands to run. Then, we will have company this afternoon. Niece and boyfriend are stopping by. No time for trains. I will be spending most of my free hours outside, enjoying the sunshine. Probably have to mow grass again this weekend.
Dining Car is here and ready for breakfast. Later.
Y'all have a great Friday.
Chuck
Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with the humidity down and the temps in the high 70s. Had my last practice with the soccer kids this year as their "official" practices start and only the "official" coaches can be there. I got the latest CTT in the mail yesterday. Neil's layout was pretty interesting. The layout based on the Southwest was good as well. I also got the latest TCA Quarterly as well. Some very nice articles on some of the "minor" players in standard gauge. Going to Mid-Ohio this weekend for the IRL race, which I am looking forward to. Just the usual fare for breakfast this morning on the dining car for "Points East". I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Mornin' boys. Mornin' Ms. Lisa. Partly sunny and 70's here in the Mid-Atlantic region. I plan to get back down in the basement and get busy on the CUMBERLAND EXTENSION. Got lot's of inspiration from my 4 day visit out on the West End this week.
Chief - That's not funny. How can you even think of leaving us? What does that other forum have that we don't have? Did Capt. Smith jump ship, just because they struck an itty-bitty iceburg? NOOOOOooooooOOOO! Let's get that software fixed!

Great! Here we go AGAIN! It's like a virus.
Ya know...I've never had a bit of trouble with the software. Slow sometimes yes, but not what you're experiencing. We're on the cable, averaging 6Mbs.
Chief: Better stop at the Roseyville dispatch and make sure Ms. Tomlin is pluggin' those wires in the right internet sockets...one ringie-dingie.
Well...off to work... Park this am with picnic lunch, nap time for the girls (and me), and then off to the Ann Arbor Art Fair with the family. Work... work... work.
kpolak- . You just dated yourself!!!
cnw1995 - Hope you're feeling better. Doc's probably don't want any sympathetic eye movement though.
NO, NO, Chief, Don't GO! One last stop by before packing up the car to head to Hotlanta for a morning flight. I got the CTT yesterday, which I think is a record as normally we get it about a week after the rest of the country. It will be good reading on the plane/shore.
Dewey, Prayers for you and the bride. Have one of the partners here who went to Med. School at Wake Forest....a good quality place. Often, they will use some meds prior to surgery to shrink the tumor and make it easier to remove. They have made tremendous strides over the last few years and I think it a blessing that it has struck now, when they can do something about it. Will continue praying.
John Bakeer, Sorry for the troubles. A lot of push to go for "Universal Medical Coverage" by the political types here. They use England and Canada as examples, but don't show the downside. Not to begrudge your govt's healthcare, but over 80% of prescribed medicine is considered "antiquated" here. With our freemarket insurance coverage, we have a lot more weapons at our disposal for treating people and if a drug's side effects are unacceptable, we can use another. Of course our system obviously has plenty of problems too, but I wouldn't want to trade. I hope you are able to feel and be better soon.
Gotta run, but y'all have a great week and for those on the wrong side of the Mason Dixon Line, please behave. I know the Chief can handle Y'all, but don't make it too hard on him, he has a campaign to win!
God Bless,Dennis

HI GIZ,
Front came through and took all the humid weather with it. Absolutly beautiful today, high abot 80.
Played GOLF last nite lost to BROTHER by 2 strokes. Played well shot a 43 but flubbed 3 shots. Putted great only 16 putts for nine holes, great for me.
Going to train store today to get buddies track and check things out.
All have a good one.

88 - Well, someone has to supervise you while you're doing all this building. I've shown that I'm a good foreman, and will be able to sample that rum at the same time...
laz57 - I shot a 43 last week. I clinched the win when I birdied off the brontosaurus' tail.

LOL!!!
Good morning to all.
Kurt, 10 mins of rain won't do it, your going to have to do better than that.
On the medical thing, the Detroit area gets a lot of people from Canada for treatment even though most have to pay out of pocket. It seems to be that people in real need have to wait to long for treatment there.
No train plans for today but I do have CTT to read.
Lots of good post today. Sir James

Hey Guys. Tried to post a few times last week but for whatever reason none of them would post. Took advantage of the "Polar Express" deal on the OGR forum so I'm waiting on that to come. I wanted a plain old PE engine for my setup since I modified the original one with the ERR cruise commander.
Another pot type thread huh? Geez I can't keep up with this one. I wish them well but my mug is hanging on the wall here. Been in and out of LA a lot. Came back yesterday and going back tomorrow.
Like I said sorry I haven't been able to post but it hasn't been for lack of trying. Stay safe all!

Morning all. Someone must have read my post on software. Running good. I'm on Road Runner and Time Warner keeps testing my cable and OK. I even check my speed and it is fine. Thought it might be the new anti-virus software I'm running [CA from TM and free, works great] but got different software on laptop and it does the same. So much for that.
John B, good luck. Nick, building going up great. Dennis, hope you got a big bag of GRITS to take along. [don't let anyone know about your covert mission while Nawth of the MD, you are one of the special teams [like in Nam that went across into Cambodia].] Sprinkled some a few minutes ago. Hope the rain gets here as forecast. Need some good down pours.
The Roseyville Div of the NS will be O/A for a while. Frankie can not help me put down soundboard. Will do it my self. So, will shut down one complete side, do it, then move to the other and finish in the backroom. Kind of sad but will be back up real soon.
Have a great day.
HEY MARTY!!!!
