wow busy man chief...only thing i did today was walk my dog...but tomorrow i will be mowing the front lawn and weedeating...such fun....
well hope all is well with everyone..
Happy birthday Doug.
Jim , if I were to put (highland) cattle on my layout? I would probably go to one of the UK importers of US stuff.
Rode Honda's from 1976 to 1999 (when illness stopped my run), before that had a BSA, Triumph etc. Trouble with the British bikes was they were in a time warp, virtually the same as they were in 1939. Bought a Bonnie in 76, it broke down on the way home from the dealers (6 miles), took it back and swapped it for a Honda dream, no more British junk for me. Triumph has risen from the dead and is now making decent tackle. Did have a ride on a new HD once. It was worse than anything I have ever ridden, shook like a wet dog, bits dropped off, 1.5 gallon tank, just enough to get to the next gas stop and just would not go round corners. Some BFs buy them here, there is a dealer here in Stockport. You can hear one coming a mile away.
Glad to hear you're keeping your feet dry.

Morning to all. Graduation is over. Got home yesterday and unloaded the final load of stuff. Picked up the dog from being boarded at the Vet and she jumped out of her crate and collapsed to the floor. She has a bad leg. Had to take her back to Vet. Couldn't really find anything major so gave her some doggie Celebrex and said to keep her quiet. We are now in graduation party mode. About 60 people coming for graduation party on Saturday. The Boy is now in Boston with some buddies for a road trip. They have tix for BoSox game on Wednesday night. One of his buddies from high school has an aunt & uncle who live there. It is one of his favorite places to visit. I know he will come home from Boston with a box of almond biscotti and cannoli from Modern Pastry in Boston's North End.
Here's a graduation photo with my parents, The Mrs. and me with the proud graduate.
Take care,
Mitch

Good morning all,
This is starting to sound like a broken record, and I am not complaining, but it is another beautiful sunny day in SE Indiana. Last night, I did some tree-trimming on some low hanging branches and dead limbs, went for a walk with the wife, and practiced some soccer. I have been working on juggling the ball and I finallly got over five bounces at a time. I would imagine tmcc man can do fifty before it hits the ground, but he is a third my age. Speaking of age, I hear a certain doug turned the page on another year. As I tell everbody who is chronologically less challenged than me, I hope I never get as old as you :-) Seriously, a belated Happy Birthday to cnw1995! "Veronica Mars" is on tonight, and tomorrow practice resumes at the speedway. The dining car is headed to "Points East". I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a sunny 60 degrees. Going up to 88 today with sunshine all day. It will be hot. Pick a shady spot.
Today, I am taking it easy. Got yard work done and errands. Now, to relax and enjoy. Wife is grooming her little dog with a friend. That will take about 4 hours. I have to do some dusting in the train room. Maybe later when it's the hottest outside.
Dining Car has arrived. Time for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.
Chuck
fifedog wrote:Mornin' boys. Wellll it's Tuesday, so you know what that means; RIGHT, anyone with the number 222 in TCA has to buy breakfast. Mitchelr, you just go ahead and order anything you like. BTW, nice job Dad. I'm even going to get an order of GRITS to go...
Fife, by the time it gets to you it'll be cold! Only thing cold grits are good for is asphault patch and sand paper... can't even reconstitute them. (For you Southerners in Town of Roses that means make them wet again). Mitch, you look nothing like your Dad Congrats on the son graduating.Well 24 was a waste of time last night...
Good morning from a sunny and dry Chicago where I am basking in your good wishes. Thank you all! I had a nice evening with homemade pizza and eclair cake. Amongst the new White Sox and Notre Dame paraphernalia, I got this! A buddy came over later with some train mags for me and we ran them all. Of course, I had Don's luck with visitors and they kept derailing in the corners - I think the track just sags a bit
Don, where did that 'Chocolate lines' trolley photo come from?
Doug Murphy 'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...' Henry V.

Doug, Like the new trolley! How many is that now?
Doug - I did a google search for Happy Birthday Trolleys, then just looked at images. However you can find it much faster by doing the search on Hershey Trolleys. Glad you liked it.
Mitch - Very nice family picture!
I THINK I got my track cleaned, sure got a lot of stuff off! Will see about beginning the installation this week-end. Today going down to San Diego for a presentation to a computer club. Probably be late night by the time I get back.
Recalculated the distance between tracks in order to run two trains, going to be tight but I think it will work. Sure, will be in big trouble here if it doesn't. May have to revise the inventory to skeleton cars.
Regarding the issues when you go to display and run the stuff for guests, I've decided to implement the following;
You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn'tmove and should, use t he WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use theduct tape.
Along those lines a few more basic answers to common issues:
1. If you are choking on an ice cube simply pour a cup of boiling waterdown your throat. Presto! The blockage will instantly remove itself.2. Avoid cutting yourself slicing vegetables by getting someone else tohold while you chop.3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by usingthe sink.4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed fora few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember touse a timer.5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent youfrom rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snoozebutton.6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then youwill be afraid to cough.
7. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.8. Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Don
Morning all. Just finished talking to the Redheaded New England Yank. Mitch, congrats. Now that is a great feat [get'em graduated]. Suppose to be on their own [you bet!!]. Doug M, Atlas has trolleys in thier new catalog.
Off to pond to weedeat the grass I planted this spring. Really grown after the last shower. Would rather sit and watch Once Upon A Time In America on AMC. One of my favorite LONG movies. [along with In Harms Way, The Godfather series, Growing up in America and The Longest Day]
PS: Don, hope you follow your suggestions. [funny]
Afternoon everyone. Not much happening in this neck of the woods. Have a few big cases scheduled over the next couple of days. Sure keeps things interesting. Did my board certification and state license recert today. Lots of paperwork, but I am glad to get it all out of the way.
Chief, enjoy your day with the trains. I envy you. I may get some time in this afternoon with the kids help We shall see. Sometimes the help makes two steps back for every step forward, but I would not have it any other way. They are only young for a little while.
Doug, not sure how they measure up, but perhaps the new passengers from RMT would look good in your trolley. The other thing would be to use HO scale folks for the ride.
Hope everyone has a great day,
Dennis

Since my previous post had some suggestions regarding health, I thought I better provide the overall secret. (I will not post anymore of these things)
Good afternoon all,
Feeling lazy today, sitting here at the computer trying to work up the ambition to start on the TMCC conversion of my ABA Williams LNE FA units. Did a little outside work this morning after voting in the PA primary. Mostly local except some statewide judges. Over half the candidates are unopposed. I don't even bother to vote for those, if they get one vote they are in. Township supervisors and County commisioners are the hot races this time around. Some idiot has come up with the weirdest voting machine ever for our district. Cross between a computer and a toddlers toy. Has a screen and a dial with several buttons. It is neither intuitive for computer users nor non-computer users. You can do a paper ballot in about 1/4 the time it takes to maneuver through all the screens on this rig.
Don, Why not install one of those battery eliminators for your cho-cho sounds as well as the camera? Then you won't have to worry about batteries running down.
Chief, Did you just invent a new word? Weedeated?
Mitch, Nice family picture. Enjoy this special time.
Looks like zeke has joined John Baker with the animated smilies.
I copied this one from zeke.
Afternoon all from a warm and absolutely gorgeous North Carolina! Had to go to a CPR certification renewal class this am. They've changed almost all the rules AGAIN!

Good afternoon from central Alabama where it's warm and muggy today. May get some more rain tomorrow (I hope!).
Mitch - congratulations on your graduation! Hope your dog is feeling better. One of our dachshunds has been down with a gimpy hip this weekend. He's better now - may have been a muscle pull.
Doug - Nice trolley!
Sir James - I need to do the same. I've got three older Railking engines with the 9v batteries (probably dead ). BCR's seem to be the way to go.
