Cool video, Rich!  Did you tape a camera in front of the locomotive?  John Baker, you better watch it with your She Who Must Be Obeyed!  Just read back over my last post and apparently I can't spell! Blush [:I]  Made some house progress: I wired 7 outlets in the basement, just 8 to go.  Still need to put up 5 lights and wire those back to the switches as well.  We were going to go to a movie tonight, but my son had a stomach ache so we got pizza.  Got a haircut and watched My Fair Lady and now Survivor - Dreamz is a loser in every real sense, even if he pulls it off.  Hope Jim A is back tomorrow and everyone had a great M-Day.  Counting down to D-Day now Wink [;)]

Howdy Y'all.  Well, I had a late night with the case and follow up.  Then had to get up early for Pastor's Prayer partners meet at the church.  I quick went in for rounds at the hospital and then back to church.  Dr. John, we too had baby dedication.  One family was shipping out right after service to head to Okinawa (we have a  Marine base here).

I did not get any rest though as when I got home, my wife called and was almost home.  I stayed up and then did a few things around the house.  Then it was time to head back to church where we had the Univerity of Mobile (Alabama), a very talented music group called Ram Corps.  If you ever get to see them, they are impressive.

No train work today , but I am off call tomorrow and hope to get some train time in when I get home.  Hope everyone has a great day.

Dennis

PS: Zeke, remember, what hasn't killed you has made you stronger.  You have a lot to offer and I wish you well in your future.  Really glad you happened upon this forum and joined our "Family".

Good night.  Jim A can not post on weekends because he spends all his $$$ on old trains he then has to work on.  This leaves no $$$$ for a home computer.

Hope all had a great Mother's Day.  Full of food.  Watching the Tudors.  Good night all.

Zeke you have done are country a great service and there are those of us who do appreacate itBow [bow] when I was at Devry back in 88 thru 90 I almost signed up with the CIA because the recruiter made it sound like such a great deal and that after you have served your time they set you up with a good comercial job then they said something about the possibility of climbing radio towers in  hostile areas and I lost interest. Much later in life I worked with a bunch of veterns 2 Marines 3 Airforce and one Navy submariner. They were a fun bunch to work with even though they would irratate me sometimesBanged Head [banghead] They all tried to get me to inlist but I was so far out of shape and old to boot. I almost choose the air national gaurd but went to colledge in stead.

I like old and new muscle cars even though I do not know how to work on them, I(my family actualy) had a green grand torreno that got past around from family member to another, got to drive it once before dad got rid of it due to steering problem. I used to make fun of rednecks that drove old cameros and trans ams but when I saw the 2000 Trans Am w/ram air I just had to have itBig Smile [:D] If money was no object I would get a dodge charger, a Ford T-bird and a Dodge viper. The first car I ever bought was an Egale summit, I now have the Trans Am and a F-150 crew cab pickup.

zeke,
I remember those days... staying up well into the wee hours of the following morning... can't do that much these days, I was up till 11 last night and I'm beat today!

Keep forgetting the cheap redheaded stepchild from MA doesn't have a 'puter at home... I could build him a cheap one so he could at least get on and chat with us... trade him one for some trains... :)  How about a set of postwar Santa Fe F3s? Wink [;)]

No email yet from the TCA member... guess I'll call him later if I don't hear from him by noon.

Good morning all,

It is another beautiful sunny day in SE Indiana with temps in the low 80s.  The granddaughter and her mom and dad were here yesterday and I ran the Alaska set for her.  It was a nice day then as well.  We went outside for a while as well. After they left, I did some errands and got gasoline at 3.36 a gallon.  Ouch!  At least "Desperate Housewives" was good last night.  Some of my favorite drivers and teams qualified for the Indy 500 yesterday as Manning got one of the Foyt cars in and AJ IV and Sarah Fisher also made the show.  Next weekend will be interesting as well.  Dining car is headed for "Points East".  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 40 degrees. Got cool last night. No frost. Going up to 82 today. Should be another beautiful day.

Today, I have a few errands to run. Not going out much, anymore, with the high price of gas. Grass is all mowed. I ran trains for a while, yesterday. Was nice to sit and relax , while watching them run. One of these days, I need to spend a few hours working on layout.

Well, I will board the Dining Car for breakfast. " Points West " has not been up yet, I guess.

Y'all have a great Monday.

Morning everyone.  Hope y'all had a great weekend.  Zeke, I listened to all those, plus the Who, and others.  Skynyrd was my favorite.  I am finally off call and I feel exhausted.  Not sure why, but I hope to be full of energy later.

Don, and others with G gauge trains, Trainworld sent me a email about a sale they are having on LGB.  Most is half off.  They mention about LGB having financial difficulty (were they sued by MTH too?Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg])  Anyway, perhaps they have some deals for y'all.  At this point, I am all O, but if the bride gets her wish and we get a built in pool, I can see a G running around the backyard.

I will try to catch up on the rest of the posts, but it seems they fly by at warp speed these days.

Morning from Sunny & Smoky NorthEast FLA.  In the 80's today.  After alot of poking and proding, the MDs here can't figure out what wrong with me.  Maybe my Yankee body is finally rejecting my Rebel habitat(yup, that ought to start something...Whistling [:-^]) Thanks for the nice comments on my video.  I actually put my camera on a flat bed on the NYC Flyer and ran the Pennsy on the next track.  It was pretty funny.  The NYC just barely beat out the Pennsy.  You can just see my CNJ Beep just as the video starts.  The layout has changed since then, I put risers on the outer track at the rear of the layout.  I'll try to get some pics or videos of that sometime in the future.

Have a great day all!!

Unfortunately, my birthday is not recognized as a national holiday yet so I have to work -- dis they ever run the race at Darlington this weekend? I watched a while on Saturday night. Have a good day all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUG! In honor of your birthday, I think I will go take the kids out for Ice Cream!  Happy B-Day [bday]  It should be a holiday, hey, it's Monday and I am in no mood to work anyway.  I am taking a little time to relax and read the Greenberg's Postwar Manual.  I did note that someone awhile back asked about a problem with a 2036 derailing and that the center wheels were larger than the outer ones.  It states that this was true, the idea being that it would help with Magnatraction.  Since this failed, they were replacing the wheels with a cut down version.  Not sure who posted about it, I did a search and could not find it.  Anyway, thought I would add that.

Not much going on here, so it looks like I will be heading to the gym and then taking the kids for that celebration of Doug's B'day.

Have a great day Y'all.

Happy B-Day [bday]Doug!

Hmmmm... 3 out of the last 4 races... not bad...

Fife - still want me rooting for the 20 car?  Since I've been rooting for him my old guy has been tearing up the series! 24 wins the series the year I don't root for him... hmmmm....

88 - It wasn't the 20 that you were to swear allegiance to; it was the 7 (go back and check the post about the READING boxcar on your list)...  However, it does appear that the 24 could lose 3 wheels and still take the checkered flag every race!

I'm convinced NASCAR is rigged....As long as NASCAR has Chevys in it, there won't be a fair race, the Fords will make a "nice" showing, NASCAR won't let Dodge use their HEMI and Toyota...why are they in this?  They don't even MAKE a push rod engine.  This is a spec car series now, what a joke...I think I'll just go back to drag racing.  At least there are HEMIs in Top Fuel and FUnny Car (and some Pro Stockers..)

Sorry, I forgot this was a Train thing......Sign - Oops [#oops] my bad.....
