Zeke, Nice 900 turbo, that car is a classic. Got to put in a clutch slave on my DeLorean when I get the time to put her back on the road. Waiting to get our gamesroom/garage built, fed up working on the D' outdoors.

My everyday motor is a 99' Alfa Romeo 166. Great car, can be tempremental at times (but hey its Italian).

Hope you all have a good Sunday

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day from Blueberryhill....

It is a cool 45 degrees with sunshine. Going up to 75 today with sun all day.

Today, I am taking it easy. Worked hard yesterday on the car and yard. I might take an hour and mow the back yard, later, but that's it. Never made it down to the train room, yesterday. I will take some time for that today. Need to relax and run trains.  This is the time of the year, that I wish I had an outdoor Garden Railroad to run. That would be fun.

Dining Car has arrived and is ready for boarding. I guess " Points West " is sleeping late today.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Happy Mother's Day to Lisa, Misty, and all the other anonymous mothers on the board!

Busy weekend so far and we're not done yet!

Had to get a new blade for the mower, now have to mow lawn today.  Took a look at the John Deere tractors while there and found a nice one... X300... wife doesn't think we need anything 'that big'.  She wants to get a L130.  Who knows...

Got the TCA Newsletter yesterday!  I'm officially a 'membership applicant'!  Wife got hold of the newletter and was going through the items for sale list, she found something she wants me to get, how do you get in touch with the member?  I don't have a list of members so have no idea.

Happy Mother's day from a cool yet sunny Crystal Lake where I extend best wishes to Lisa and other lurking forumites - as well as our brides! Looks like it might rain when I look to the west. As desperately as we need it, I hope it holds off until we get to church.

Thinking of Jim F. - hope he's nowhere near flood waters, and Dennis and Don, may they avoid any wildfires.

BRENT, yes I saw your name on the 1st timers list.  To get in touch with the seller there is a number after the item listed, go back to the end of the newsletter and look up that number that will give you the name address and phone number of the seller.

Thank you Brent for the Mother's Day wish, and to everyone else for their wishes! Unfortunately, the hubby and I have to work (enforcing the law is a 24/7 job-believe it or not, Mother's Day and some of the other holidays are the busiest. Everyone starts "celebrating" and by the end of the day, they're all fighting. Keeps things exciting for us!Big Smile [:D]) and the kids get to stay with their aunt. I do hope that everyone has a great day and big hugs to all of the other Mother's on the board!

Happy Mothers Day.  Went to Harters for donuts, but they were closed.  Got buscuits (grands) at Schnucks and Bob Evans sausage gravy and "cooked" breakfast for the family.  The Meramec river is high and flooded a soccer field a few miles from here, but Arnold is on high ground and no worries of flooding here, thanks for the kind thoughts Doug.  I think the high point for the Mississippi is supposed to be tomorrow now at about 33 feet (?), but they have different numbers depending on what channel you are watching or station you are listening to, so I'm waiting to see what it really does.  This is above flood stage already, but the levees are working and no major flooding in St. Louis.  There are problems up river from here though.  No rain yesterday or today!  I'm going to post a thread later today or in the next day or two with some track plan ideas.  TTFN

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Hello All!  Zeke - That is a nice Ford Mustang you have there. No wonder you have trouble deciding which car to drive as both the Chevy & Ford you have are very nice to own. Jim F- Glad that you are out of harms way as far as the Flooding is concerned. Hope all have a nice day. Take Care.

Thanks to all for the Mother's day wishes!

Zeke - like the others have already said - you've been thru more than your share and still have a great outlook on life!  Hope you stay that way!  BTW - Nice wheels you got  out there!  Let us know when you get that book published - Would love to read it!

Dewey - you take care up there in the mountains climbing those ladders - enjoy your applesauce!  Dinner [dinner]Hey - some GRITS would add some variety to your soft diet!!  Thanks for the additional RR info.

Son and his family have been out of town since Thursday at a Bluegrass Festival in OUR RV.  Meanwhile, I've been looking after 2 birds, 2 rabbits, 10 beagles (6 are pups), 4 other dogs, a horse and a sick cat.  AND watering the DIL's flowers and herb garden - since we haven't had any rain!!!  So much for a really nice Mother's Day.  Just kidding - loved every minute of it - well most of it!  Wink [;)]

A lot going on on the pot - hard to keep up.  Wish all a very safe and blessed week!

Hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day today. We had parent-baby dedication in the three services this morning at church. Always fun because you never know what one of these little ones is going to do! Turned out pretty peaceful. Took the wife and family to Outback for lunch. Had a 45 minute wait, but service was very quick and food was great. Visited mom this afternoon. I'm not sure she knew what the occasion was, but she seemed to enjoy the company. Now back to church for an evening Bible study.

Good evening from a sunny and warming Crystal Lake - supposed to be 87 tomorrow for My Birthday. Going to take the family out to dinner for M-day in a few minutes - and pick up an older friend down the street who lives alone to go with us - my bride's good idea.

I spent some time with our youngest's 'Promiseland' leader this morning - the youngest has been misbehaving in children's church - can't have that -- he needs to put on his listening ears, stop 'shooting' his fellows with his finger, and a few other things. Sigh.

Brent, Jim A isn't online during the weekends. I don't believe he has a computer at home. IMHO a healthy thing.

lol sounds like a plan.....i believe in seatbelts for the record...i just drive these cars slow and very cautiously so i dont think about getting creamed...but now i will...after i got shot in the heart i died for 6 minutes....after that a comma for a week...suffered 2 heart attacks....all before i was 30...so i thought i was living on free time so to say...so seatbelts werent a concern....but now since i care about living again i will wear them......thanks everyone....you dont know it but you all have helped me overcome some things in the short time i have been on this site....thanks!

and i wish a happy mothers day to all mothers!

Zeke,
It amazes me how well you are doing!  I've not seen 1/100th of the mess you have witnessed and endured, it sure impresses how you have 'recovered'.  Trains are very therapuetic, as many of us on the boards can attest.  Your resillience and strong will, will lead you places, be sure about that!  You my friend, are an inspiration to us all, you and our friend Reggie - where ever his roads have taken him...

The comraderie here on this board is something I have not seen since my military days, that is one of its aspects that keep me coming back...

God Bless has blessed you, you may not realize it but he has... your mission in life has not been fullfilled... HOOO YAH!

you know your right about the comraderie on the board...i noticed it right away....thats awesome....

one time i had the perfect life it thought...a wonderful family, a loving wife and kids, the best job ever. Then one day its gone....all of it... at first i was mad at everyone...but then i remebered something my mom told me when i was younger in search of friends and materialistic things....

" Its not who you have around you, or the things you have  that  deciedes weather your life is good or not. But were your heart is."

and that always made me think and always made me strive to be a better person. Its words like that that makes me miss my mom, but also pushes me to be a better person...

Mothers are very wise, we may not always see it or think it at the time.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Good evening all,

Sounds like everyone is having a nice weekend & in case I missed anyone, a Happy Mother's day to all the mothers.

Weather forecast here is for possible frost tonight, this isn't fun anymore.  Put everything back in the greenhouse and covered those tender items that have been planted.  Hope this is the last time. Smile [:)]

Zeke, there should be a smiley symbol on the tool bar at the top of message window.

Take care,
