Brutus, There is one I did not mention because it is not in Columbus but at all the fairs and festivals in the fairfeild county area that is the Jimmy Jaw Brakeer. Steak and shake in the grove city area lacks a lot lot to be desired service wise the food always comes cold....I seem to allways get the server that is new and or worthless. Sonic is cool but nothing to brag about.

Was dizzy all day checked blood sugar and it was 65 a little on the low side so I cheated on diet and ate a cold leftover pancake feel better now. Blood pressure is steadily droping too.

I made a breakfest casorole for the party at work last thursday and it was a big hit.

White castles is a favorite of mine as they are affordable and love those onion chips, did you know they also have fried clams?

Brutus- I have TMCC it is a lot of fun and I like it when there is company. I can run the trains, walk around and talk, but still have control. Actually I have two handhelds so someone else can run a different train at the same time. I have run Legacy a couple of times and that is even better with more dodads but I will probably stick with what I have. I still like running the trains hands on though just like always.

Wes,

Do you get the Columbus Dispatch? There is a story about a man in Delaware That has a big train collection in an old station building used to be owner of the Nourse automotive. Heard the name before but did not know about the trains.

A belated good morning,

I finally got the dollhouse finished that I was working on for a granddaughter's Christmas present.

Now I can start playing with trains again. Smile [:)] Thumbs Up [tup]  Wink [;)]

Well after I get ready for the painter.  He is scheduled to start on Jan. 2nd, so we have to take down the decorations a little early and clear out a lot of the clutter.  He is great and takes care of moving furniture, etc.  Since I hate painting, he's my man.

Also on the 2nd I go back to my one day a week at the National Toy Train Museum.  I took the month of December off.

Chief, I have been looking at the PRR E6 in the Lionel catalog.  May have to get that along with the new Legacy TMCC.  I didn't preorder it but I'm sure Barry will have a few extras.  In a road name like this he usually does.  Doesn't give quite as good a deal as preorder but still better than list.

Hi All,

Managed to stop by my LHS yesterday. Picked up some scenic items. To my upmost surprise I spoted a MTH catalog near the counter! The shop owner was not even sure how they came by it. Made a play at educating them to the joys of 3 rail OSmile [:)].

Finished laying the slate floor in the gamesroom today with FIL. Leaving to dry and then paint with two coats of clear seal and then grout over next few days.

Merry Christmas,

Nick

Merry Christmas!

Chef...First of all Lebanon is a beautiful small Ohio town.  It was an old stage coach stop between Dayton and Cincinnati.

For train watching, forget about Lebanon and go to the museum (old train station in Cincinnati) and watch the yard from the tower and see the huge S scale layout of Cinncy.  It is the best layout in this part of the country.  There is also a good train store in Mason, Ohio which is very close to Lebanon.  It is in the old downtown area of Mason on the north side of the streets.

Have a good trip. Cool [8D] Hope you can stand all the Ohio sunshine. Whistling [:-^]

Thanks all for the nice comments about the grand-kids in the train pictures.  Some proper attire is really needed,  the kids father is a fan of a team from the north; one more reason not to like him!

I will try to find them some suitable attire.  Appalachian State T-Shirts would really look good on the kids. Big Smile [:D]

I agree with Buckeye.  This is a great museum.  Great layout and in the perfect scaleWhistling [:-^]  Around Christmas time there used to be and mabe still is a nice temporary layout set up at the Duke Energy building in downtown Cincinnati, a few blocks from Fountain Square.

Colin-Hope and pray for quick recovery.  You'll probably hurt more today than yesterday but it will get better.  Now you will be able to predict weather with the amount of pain in your knees!  My knees woke me early today.

I pretty much have already forgotton all the items I was going to post about.  But, do remember the most signficant.

Colin - Glad your surgery went well, hope your recovery is quick, and the discomfort level low !!!

Brutus, thanks for the compliment.  I have yet to see the letter.  I remember sending them some emails regarding the switches and TMCC / DCS  compatibility.  But honestly don't know what I said.  Maybe I will find out tomorrow or Monday.

Had our 10th Annual Final and Last Christmas Party, tongiht.  Had all our employess over for dinner and celebration.  Pretty much typical Office Party.  Just a couple of minor adjustments, as we do have a small office and limited resources.

Gave everyone a "Bird" for the Christmas dinner.  (We did Cornish Game Hens as oppossed to Turkeys, lot less expensive)

Everyone got a Christmas Bonus

Dinner was catered at our house, (Wife did the catering)

I made a short speech regarding the future, we discussed expansion plans, (Adding a storage rack)

Attendess were:

Me - Operations Manager, (Do a lot of train planning)

Wife - President, Receptionist, & stock clerk

Mother-In-Law -- Bag Lady, (She opens plastic bags for customers)

Father-In-Law -- Chair Facilitator, (He holds down a chair at some computer shows)

Son -- Vice President of Fun Stuff  (Messes around alot)

Was a nice evening by all.

Hope everyone has a great evening.
