Evenin' boys. Spent the day ridin' from railyard to railyard, but didn't get too many good pics. A light dusting of snow made everything pretty...trains just wouldn't comply.

Hopalong Cassidy was from Ohio too. So was William S. Hart.

Hardees rocks, have to drive pretty far South or way North of Columbus to find one have you been to a White Castels? I think the Southern version is called Crystals.
If you find yourself in Columbus and need to soaber up White Castles coffee will do the trick or if you can find a Tee Jays country place try the barnnyard buster eggs(to order)biscuits and hash browns or home fries smothered in sausage gravy,
Went to dinner with friends after work. Finally feeling better, but still a little tired. My wife and daughter went to pick up their girlscout cookies so they could get them ready to deliver and when they got home I found out my daughter got sick and threw up at the lady's house. Then, she steps into our bathroom and doesn't make it - messed up the entire floor somehow. What a mess. Anyway, my wife cleaned it up while I got her cleaned off and showered. She seemed like she was feeling better after she was cleaned up, so hopefully it was just a sour stomach or something!!! Praying for all those who are sick and need help. Just heard Marvel killed off Captain America. Also heard from a comic fan that The Punisher is going to put on Captain America's suit and take over. If you didn't know, Cap's side lost the recent Civil War over licensing and control of super heroes.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Good morning from a mighty cold Gettysburg where my thermometer is reading 2.5 degrees Farenheit. AKKevinT - close the door would 'ya, enough with the cold, snow, and ice. We got about 4 inches of the white stuff in our area yesterday.
Mrs. is finally home. Her girlfriend does not have a dissecting aorta and they will monitor her heart valve for now. Will need close follow-up with a cardiologist. Good news for now.My buddy Dave is still in the hospital getting dialysis. Dr.'s are waiting for results from kidney biopsy to determine course of action and see if kidneys will recover.
Take care,
Mitch

Good morning from New England!
We ran some trains last night. Our 2025 pulled a long coal drag with ease. The engine is one good puller! All our hopper cars are now filled with coal.
Not much new to report. I got a haircut yesterday, and even though I specifically asked for a trim, she chopped off a lot more hair than I wanted to. Oh well, it grows back...
It's now almost daybreak when I head off to work. That's a good sign!
I lost out on a 736 on Ebay last night by $2.50! I need to get a home computer! These snipers are killing me!!!
jefelectric - How are those L&NE Alcos running for you?
Have a great day, everyone.

HI GIZ,
It was ZERO 0 this morning driving to school.
Anyway HAPPY FRIDAY EVE.
All have a good one.
Good morning all,
It is sunny with temps rising to the 40s in SE Indiana. I went to the YMCA and watched "Lost" last night. Lucas had to work so it was a quiet night at home. I have a class tomorrow so I may be late checking in with the coffeepot tomorrow. The breakfast was the usual deal with nothing special so I hope it gets better as it heads to "Points East". I sent e-mails to both Lionel and MTH with various questions earlier in the week and have not had a reply from either one. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good morning from Close by the Wabash, In famed Hoosierland, where is is clear and cold this fine morning.
The KNACK has been recharged. I am heading home.
Last night I had supper with the Coach. He is doing fine, but his wife Pat, has really had a tough time.
I had a great time seeing my childhood friend Jim again this year. Jim is a County Commissioner from back home. We both had Lionel Trains as a kid, but our claim to fame is our horsemanship. As kids we would saddle it up and let her rip. (Please note we did not wear helmets.)
Off to Cincinnati tomorrow for a Saturday meeting.
Chuck, You are doing a great job keeping the Chief at bay and out of Buckeyeland. I thought he might try to sneak across the river while I was gone, but so far it is obvious he doesn't want to tangle with you. Although I really like or friends to the east in Pennsylvania, they are really at a disadvantage without the river to keep the Chief out of their great state. (Or are they a commonwealth?)
See ya down the tracks,
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cold, sunny 8 degrees outside. Going up to 39 today, with sunshine all day. They are saying that it will hit 62 by next week. I have to see this, to believe it. Still have about 4 inches of snow on the ground.
Today, I will try again, to go grocery shopping in Cambridge. The roads are good and I want to get this done. Later, this afternoon, I may work on the layout, for a few hours. I am making some roads from roofing paper, just to see how they will look. So far, looks good.
Dining car has arrived from " points west ", and is well stocked. Time to have breakfast. Be back later.
Y'all have a great Thursday.
Chuck

AH MY SHORONA!
Good morning from the Bluegrass!! It's clear and cool, and we had a little frost on the widows this morning. No trains last night, but had a nice long theological, philosophical conversation with one of my church members who is a bit......umm.....un-Orthodox; in the very real sense of the work. Then I watch a show on the Celtic warriors, fell asleep on the couch during that one and woke up at 3am! Might run the train today when the young'un gets home from school.
Good day all and blessings to each.
Good Morning All,
I missed posting yesterday...sorry had to get to the office early. Yesterday was sunny and 62 in the Mile High City. The Fiance and I went to speak with the catering company we're planning to use for the wedding in July. I believe in two weeks we'll have the tasting....woohoo.....can't wait for that.
Oh....for all stuck in cold and snowy weather. Monday is forecasted to hit 70. WOW I can't wait.
Today is more of the same at the office. By the way....I'm an IT Manager for a large software/database company.
I hope everyone has a terrific Thursday.

Ah, the joys of ministry! Nothing like running late for a Bible study or worship service and someone grabbing you in the hallway asking you to explain supralapsarianism. Makes my brain hurt sometimes!
But all in all I could not see myself doing anything else. Most days its a joy and the days its not, it's usually as much my fault as anyone else. Trains certainly are therapeutic. I think every church should have a layout so the ministers could use them in counseling. E.g. "So your children don't understand you and your dog no longer speaks to you? Let's run some trains and talk about it." (This said with tongue planted FIRMLY in cheek!)
Morning all,
Sunny and cool here in Southern Ohio. I got four trees topped yesterday, three left to do today. Going to let it warm up a bit before I start.
Buckeye, when in Cincinnati, have you ever been to the Union Terminal Muesum? It has a nice "S" layout and the building itself is awsome.
My Exegesis paper is on John 2:1-12; the Wedding Feast at Canna. Previously I had read this passage dozens of times, but when applying critical analysis, it is incredible how much depth is in scripture, when you start going beyond the text.
Grandkids were up last night, ran trains with me and baked a cake with grandma. I am amazed at how careful they are with the trains. They like running them slow, and working the accesories. Next generation of Toy Train lovers is developing.
Take care all

If you swing by Greensboro Thursday I will be in Cardio/Pulmonary Rehab from 10:30 until about 2:00p. But call 336-288-2317 when passing GSO to see if I'm home. I live just off North Elm St. on the North side of G'boro. Crosstown Blvds such as Wendover Ave and Cone/Benjamin Blvd intersect N. Elm St as does the old I-40/85 ["Death Valley"] around South G'boro.

I agree! After 10 years of ministry (working through college and now seminary) I have found that I simply "cannot" do anything else, I actually enjoyed the discussion last night, we covered a wide range areas. He wants to ala carte a bunch of different theological thoughts under the unbrella of Christianity, mostly Eastern religion which makes our discussions pretty interesting to say the least.
After looking at my original post, I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression. It was supposed to be like this "No trains last night ;...................but I did have a nice....." The frown was to the lack of trains, not the discussion. Just wanted to clarify.

I love diving into passage like these, it always seems that when I start out I think, "yeah, I've got this thing covered." Then when the research is done and I sit back and look, I go; "Holy smokes I didn't know that was all there." It's always a pleasant surprise to say the least, and my Revelation 20 exegesis was phenomenal, the best part was that as I was researching it I really had to come to some critical decisions myself, which meant that I had to study 3 different interpretations of the passage and critically engage with each, which really added a lot of time and effort to the task. But it was certainly well worth it! Not only for the grade, but also for the real discovery that took place.
