Morning all. Crazy week for me. Busy Mayor wise and construction wise.
Wifey adding another house to the house.
Back torn off. What had bricks, bricks removed. Footings dug and poured.
They took the day off today [thank God]. Foundation next week. Probably start framing too. My buddy doing job says he hopes to have dried in by July 1. Pretty fast. Hope all are OK. Have a good one. Where did the red underlined come from. Who knows with this software.

Mornin' boys. 69 with occassional along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Fourth layout platform (former North Pole layout) installed last night, with help from future son-in-law. I couldn't position it how I originally envisioned, and now I have to "taper" the adjoining section (to be built).
anjdevil - t'was hoping to see the old layout in CTT....
Roy - South Branch Potomac River, North Branch Potomac River, as well as the C&O Canal wharf area.
TGIF!!!!
where is everyone? ??
Banks, Proud member of the OTTS TCA 12-67310
MikeC - That was supposed to be 130 minutes....longest run of my life...lol more like a forced march
Fife - can't wait to see the new layout in CTT!!!
Weather is good low 80's today and tomorrow with low humidity, still need to get the bike out - car is back to normal, finally. Need some time off....lol or a new job!!
Youth sports has declined and it sucks. Parents should shut up or stay home.
HEY Have a nice day, y'all!!
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Morning all!
Warm yesterday but a nice cool breeze so we sat out last night til the sceeters showed up. Warm and storms today.
Wireless router went nuts last night - after some machinations did a full reset and got it reprogrammed and going again. Our Sony Blu-Ray is also acting up. Software is up to date and not sure it is recoverable. Looks like a trip to Best Buy to get new gear.
Mike C - been there, done that (coached soccer and basketball) - glad I do not have to mess with it anymore. Sports leagues are full of/run by idiot "sports zealots" with no common sense, no sense of fair play, and exist solely to keep their own kids, regardless of talent (and to the detriment of those kids with talent) on the field. I rotated all the kids (and found a local YMCA league where rotating was a requirement with rotation sheets turned in for each game) and had no end of parents thanking me for coaching particularly after witnessing the opposing coaches & parents yelling/cursing at their own players (soccer). It was to say the least, pathetic.
Fife - so there will be a lake on the new layout?
Regards, Roy
Phish - I knew that would catch your eye. Next purchase may be an AF 15b. I love the retro look of that transformer.
Roy - I still love my rails and sails. Matter of fact, picked up a small sailboat at Michael's yesterday. Part of their Tiny Treasures line of miniatures.
Good evening all,
Good day at work. Good walk at noon. Was supposed to play a game tonight. Stupid people in charge of league don't know posterior from hole in the ground when it comes to keeping players informed and happy. Game scheduled for 6 PM. Call at 5 PM. Game still on. Leave at 5:20. Get there just before 6. Rain pouring buckets. Call game line. Game still on. Rain stops at 6:10. Referees said games were canceled despite blue skies and no rain. ^()&()&()^()&^&*()^&*%7895*%&*^%&(*&%^*&%&*(. No one from league is on site to make decision, just phoned the refs. How much effort does it take to look at a weather radar? Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid!!!!! Ugh, almost done with this...... Felt bad for "sidekick" as she thought she would be late when she did not need to bother at all if someone had had the intelligence of an amoeba to show consideration for 120 people who paid $60 a season for the privilege of having games called AFTER they were supposed to start. They still have not rescheduled the earlier postponement. End of soapbox rant. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good afternoon,
Yes Flag day!
We got a goose killer yesterday afternoon and got a much needed inch of rain in about 15 minutes. So today is is very hot and humid. Bet the corn will shoot up a foot today. So now it is raining again. Just makes the humidity worse. Summer storms are a hit and miss here. Just down the road they only got .3" yesterday and we got 1.1" here.
Glad the move is going well Jim!
Mornin' All.
Prayers for those wounded/injured in Alexandria. The usual mantra has already started after something like this happens.
On a lighter note, check out this story: http://myconnection.cox.com/article/world/10dd39be-510d-11e7-86ab-1918c9673d06/ . Why does it take so long for others to recognize the potential for model/toy trains.

Quite a mess in Alexandria. Prayers for the victims.
Mike C - that's nice you got to witness that catch!
Phish - glad the move is coming to a successful conclusion!
Fife - are trains overriding boats?
Good Morning from beautiful 71°F Southern Ohio,
It is to get up into the high 80’s and be humid later today. Still working the move. Started getting my books in bookshelves, two boxes done, nine to go. I started swapping dishwasher from old house with the one in the new house. It is only a few months old and my bride really likes it. And I’m planning out the move of the chickens and the coop for this coming weekend. Once the chickens are moved the need to go to the old home place every day eases up.
The man who bought the Marx New York Central set I put in the school auction wants another NYC set, and it is just what I won on ebay a few weeks ago so he will get it.
The girls had a couple of friends from school for an overnighter last night so I guess we’ve had our first “guest” at our new home. With our stuff now being unboxed and placed it is really feeling like “home”.
Fife – The AF “S” loop is a great idea
May God bless
Jim
Anjdevil2, 1.5 miles in 13 minutes, that is flying! Quiet day at work again. Rain during the day kept temps down. Proud grandfather here has to report about grandson's baseball game. Grandson was on the mound when the batter hit a screamer right at his head. Grandson snagged the ball like he did it all his life. Should be on ESPN Sportscenter tonight! One of those moments that make being a dad and granddad all worthwhile. I hope everyone has a good day.
jonadel - This effort is all about simplicity and beauty. After a dozen years of modelling Winter, I'm going Spring. No grades. No command control. Marx signals. Half Lionel tubular track, half Atlas Industrial rail. 3 independent loops, and perhaps an American Flyer S loop. And lots and lots of 4-4-0's.
Evenin' boys. Well, got them 3 platforms up. Next will be stripping down the North Pole layout and putting new benchwork under it. I'm anxious to get trains running again. Now I need to hit the shower to get all of this sawdust off me.
Greetings from the Heartlands where it's HOT & windy. We did have a wet spring and couldn't turn off the faucet, now we can't buy a drop of rain. All the crops look incredible but there is concern if we don't get at least some rain soon.
I do enjoy reading about all the ideas that include upgrading and building new layouts. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to the basement trying to figure out how I could incorporate wider radius curves, I've even laid out track and at times it just seems overwhelming. The line I used to use with our kids is "be happy with what you have" -- I think I need to follow my own advice.
Jon
So many roads, so little time.
Again, Just plain hot here.
It hit 94 yesterday and very humid. Did a lake run as water was nice and flat.
Today's weather is a repeat of yesterday. Humid, very humid
DougnottaG - thanks for the update - stay on the mend!
Fife - nephew was hoping you would take him back to the train, and good deal getting a layout back in progress!
Anj - congrats on finding the issue with the RR ammeter - who'd a thought it?
Mornin' boys. Sunny & 69 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Today I'm officially "breaking ground" on my new layout. My goal is to have at least 3 platforms up by sundown. Once they are in place, I will have a better gauge of how much of the room I have left to use. Have a feeling this won't be my only layout project this year. Big Boss knows I'm a 3-railer (as is he and a couple others on the crew), and apparently has something in the works to be displayed at Canal Place.
Wifey and I took a ride up to my folks' place to visit with nephew. He "helped" me pull in a bass out of the big pond there. He was good as gold on the train, but was acting up for his parents yesterday. My BIL has an engine he wants me to take a look at, but couldn't tell me what it was.
It was great to see the 21 in Victory Lane.
Dougnotta - it was also great to see you posting again.
Almost no activity at work today. Warm for walk. Spent time with granddaughter tonight. Trying to get stuff together for financial review. Have spent so much time trying to get other stuff done, financial paper work is complete disaster. I hope everyone has a good day.
He's alive. I sent an email to da Chief, and he said he was going to get in contact with Don. Well it looks like it worked
good to hear from you.

Howdy All !
Still around just haven't been posting. Trying to get some things done after having been away from home for so long. Dealing with some of the CHF issues so haven't had much energy to do hardly anything. Got a phone call from Frank(aka Chief) and a short time later from Don(aka Shake-N-Bake) checking up on me. Thanks for the concern guys.
Later all
Hey Happy Monday....
Having a software failure and the phone have been ringing off the hook...took 2 weeks to do the roll out and they stillscrewed it up - go figure.
Found my electrical issue in the 48 year old Ammeter, would still run the car but not charge the battery - so I took it out of the loop, hooked up a voltmeter and runs like new now. GO figure - 1 month and countless tests - finally done..
Phish, glad things are MOVING right along....
MikeC - last time I ran I did 1.5 miles in EXACTLY 13 minutes. Trust me, I'm out on that happening ever again. And that was for the firefighter fitness evaluation.
OK, gotta go back to work, I'm not retired yet....HA!! retirement? I'll die at my desk at 12 noon off the clock...you watch and see....
Just plain hot here.
I had to have the plumber add Freon to the shed AC and it was $130.00 for about 30 minutes of screwing around. No wonder I try to do everything myself first.
Hot for us. 94 today. All the snow has melted.
Geez I even took a shower.
Warm, humid, partly cloudy and 87 today. Real humid...
Phish - glad the new house move in is going well!
Good Morning from beautiful 73°F Southern Ohio
We got moved to the new house and sleeping there since Friday. The kids have been a great help unloading boxes and putting things away. The dogs are getting used to the new sites and smells. The new house does not have internet access yet so I’ve not had access to post or read emails or forums. The provider inspected the existing system and the existing system won’t handle the newer hardware. We’ll see if that is fact or fiction.
The new place is great. I had to replace the fill valve and flapper on one toilet and found the toilet shut off valve did not work so replaced it too and yes it took 3 trips to the hardware store. Luckily Ace hardware is less than a mile away.
The movers moved all the furniture and appliances and that was the best money I’ve ever spent. They did a great job and were amazing. We moved the rabbits Saturday but still have the chickens to move so that should be interesting. The Coop/run comes apart into two sections so theoretically we should be able to move it ourselves. At 14 Gabriel is as strong as a man and is a great helper. At the rate he is going he is going to be stronger than I was in High School and I set several school records that stood for several years.
Time to get back to work
Grandson's birthday parties today. Watched F-1 race and taped US-Norway match. Turned on AC first time for the year. I hope everyone has a good day.
Evening all!
A really nice warm day today. The missus and I just hung out all day.
Great NASCAR race/finish today. And the last 14 laps stayed under the green.
Going to a friends house tonight to watch the Pens/Preds game 6 - go Preds!
