Good evening all,

Very quiet day at work.  Spent enjoyable evening with younger granddaughter.  Rains came thru this evening.  Got MR, Trains and TCA Quarterly all on the same day.  I think I am good for awhile.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good Evening from sticky Southern Ohio,

TGIF!

Had a busy day.  Hung the other storm door, the went to ACE hardware to get some keys made and they had a big sale and we bought some furniture for the front porch.  Put it together then got another load of stuff from the old house, guns, ammo and the gun safe, and a few other tools.

My bride grilled salmon and zucchini and it was fantastic!  Saturday if it does not rain I'll cut grass, if it rains we'll empty boxes.

We've got internet now and we're all set up.  Hopefully Photobucket will cooperate for Sunday but I'm going to look into shutterfly.

Good night and may God bless

Jim

DougM, You guys got pounded with rain and we only got .7" all week here. Funny what 70 miles can change.

I ordered a new kitchen faucet. Found the same thing Home Depot had for $304 at Menards for $169 so that was a no brainer. Also ordered the gasket for the disposal. So maybe next week I can swap it out.

Aloha from a damp and humid Chicago. Looks like it'll be a nice long weekend if the rain stops - everything is growing like a weed with all the rain and I really need a dry spell to cut things back. Remind me about this when it's a drought. I am working to confer all of our graduated students with the deadline to audit everyone's records at 5 pm today. I think I'll make it!

Buenos Dias Y'all !

Guess I'm guilty of "cultural appropriation", Stick out tongue .

Picked up the BetterHalf at the airport late last nite. What a day. Late departing Cinncy, had to circle around Nashville due to storms, late out of Atlanta, storms, which meant even later arrival in San Diego. But then the icing on the cake so to say, the airline had five or six flights, wide bodies, all arrive within just minutes of each other. You can imagine what the baggage carousel area was like. But thankfully she is home.Left HugRight Hug

No museum today nor next Friday, physical therapy day.

Darn, one of the train stores was having a pretty good sale on some Railking engines. Broke down and ordered one and it looked like I was going to be happyhappy. Unfortunately their inventory was off. Bang Head

Oh well, didn't really need it.

Later all.

Morning all. 76* here, rainy and humid. No plans for today.

Need to look into some portable lights for the attic, So I can see when I'm installing the insulation up there. HarborFreight has some inexpensive portable lights at a good price.

Not much else to talk about this am. Will talk to you all later.

Jim I use Shutterfly with no problems but I wonder how long before they start asking for money now that photobucket is? I don't know if you can transfer the pictures from one to the other.

Kitchen sink Moen faucet is leaking AGAIN! Angry Angry This time from under the handle and on to the counter top. It looks like I will need to replace it. It has been nothing but issues with it from day one. I will never buy Moen again. JMHO. So to replace it I will have to remove the disposer and I can't find any parts list for the model number I have. Bang Head

 Oh well?

Good Morning from beautiful 78°F Southern Ohio,

I thought I was just having trouble with Photobucket.  Do you guys use shutterfly?  I wonder if Shutterfly can access and move my photobucket pics?

I am going to be off next week and I hope to get a good portion of the honey do list done and the remaining stuff from the old house to the new house moved; first on the list will be the boxed up trains!  It may be scary to see all the boxes in one place.

Fife – When I get home I’ll try and post a pic of the Control Panel I made, a 30B and a 19B!  Really cool. The 30B does have the quirk where you rotate the levers in the oppisit direction, left and right to control speed.

Got to go

May God bless

Jim

Well thanks to Photobucket I lost my Signature Pic's, I don't mind so much but those large round notices were unnecessay.

Busy week for me.  Went and sprayed at farms yesterday.  Got NO ticks this time.  Sprayed clothes night before.  Worked.  Was dry which was a surprise and they had had some storms earlier.

Brick masons are here as I hear noise outside.

Have a good one.

Good evening all,  my schedule is all out of whack.  I got up early to attend early morning mass and discussion group due to friend who keeps bending my arm to go. I am not a morning person.  Sleep deprived all day so I took a nap this afternoon.  Slept for three hours.  Ate dinner at 9:00PM.  Now I will probably be up all night.  Sorry to hear about Dennis' dog.  I'm still fighting itch problem but it is getting better.  Dermatologist thinks so and wants to see me in one month which is better than every two weeks.  What is the best source for MTH traction tires?  Can you still order direct from MTH?  I need to replace nearly all of them on trains on the layout that have sat too long without running and in the heat of summer too.  Tried Bullfrog snot.  Not happy with that.  Stuff hardens up in the bottle if you don't use it often.  Got invitation to go on special train trip this fall to celebrate engineer friend's retirement.  Will be on two private cars with all food and drinks included.  Will go from L.A. to San Luis Obispo, half way to San Francisco and return the same day.  Looking forward to that.

Ray

Good evening all,

Meeting today was moderately interesting, but hardly worth the time.  For the 20 somethings, it might have some value.  For old geezers like me who are putting our time in until retirement....meh.   We won the game tonight 3-0.  I pulled the muscle in my left leg again so I did not play much.   My sidekick did not show up.  This is looking more and more like my last season.  Weather is still nice.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

SJ Photobucket has now made it that if you want to share your photo's on another site ( ie CTT ) you need to pay them a monthly fee

Unfortunate but I am not surprised. I fail to understand how these entities that let you store lots of stuff on their servers for free stay in business. At some point someones gotta pay the piper...

No deal I won't pay. I don't use it so I really have no need for it at this time.

Why, oh why, would anyone ever want to control a train with a remote control, instead of an American Flyer 15B?  Hmmmm?  I got mine.  It's awesome looking.

Sun and 79

No tie, no water, other than that I don't care what they do with me.

Wow my train news is summer slow, I haven't even polished the rails for a couple week.

Cloudy and cool here.

Calling for rain next few days. We picked up the truck Monday and the seat came out very nice. Glad I got it fixed.

Went to the bar we call the bank in Newark yesterday and had a few with Mark. Gas here is down to $1.99 a gallon.

Calling for rain next few days.

Just sprinkle my ashes around out back in the woods.

Morning all!

A sunny 59 right now (Phish Thumbs Up). Wind will turn and come from the south today. 85 and return of humidity. Rain for the weekend...boooooo....

Kids will be here for annual July 4th week long. Lots of outdoor and on the water events with friends/neighbors.

Got the boat lowered and no further cable fraying. Waiting on a quote to replace lift cables. Keeping it low so if a cable gives it will only drop a foot or so. Took it out for a long wine cruise last night. Weather was wonderful.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 57 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  This post-Cindy weather has been sweet.  Neighbors want me to help with cutting weeds along the driveway this afternoon.  Guess I'll crank up the Cub Cadet whacker and do my little hillside as well.

Wifey and I did a little "advance scouting" in Frostburg yesterday.  Many times, passengers ask me what's to do in town when we arrive up there.  Now I can give them a heads up.  What they don't realize is that an hour layover goes by pretty quick, especially if you stop and watch the engine being spun on the turntable.  We also turned off Rt 36 and explored Mt Savage.  Amazing what used to be there, even as of 40 years ago.  Now it's just the brick factory that remains.  Cutest thing is the one-room jail on main street (reminded me of the one in Support Your Local Sheriff).
