Good evening all,

Izombie was very, very good tonight. Once you accept the premise of the show, everything else follows.   Went thru old financial paperwork tonight.  Got some of it in order.  May finally have a plan for keeping items in order.  Hmmm....only took me some 40+ years.  Go figure.  Quiet day at work, but very productive.  Great weather for a nice walk.  Wife said it took the street dpartment just 5 minutes to chop up all the limbs.   A very long and boring day in some sort of stupid meeting is on the agenda for tomorrow.  At least I have a soccer game tomorrow night.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good Afternoon from beautiful sunny 72°F Southern Ohio,

I led the Rosary and Wake last night and assisted at a Funeral Mass for a good friend this morning.  He is at peace after a long bout with cancer.  May God have mercy on his soul.

This brings to mind one of the best gifts a person can give to a loved one, spouse, or child or parent, is have written out their funeral service arrangements and let people know where the instructions are.

Not just their place of repose, and will, but I’m referring to the funeral service and Church (Mass ) arrangements as applicable identifying what you would like to have for your funeral.  When left to the family, the decisions about what prayers, songs and scriptures to use can be difficult.  You can usually call your priest, deacon or pastor and they can help you make the arrangements, and it is one less thing your loved ones need to think about and they will appreciate your parting gift a lot.

Mike – congrats on the sugar levels

Roy – We are going to get spoiled with this great weather we’re having.

May God bless

Jim

Good Afternoon from beautiful sunny Southern Ohio,

We had a busy weekend, I swapped the dishwashers bringing the new Bosch dishwasher from the old house to the new one, and moved and unpacked more boxes and cleaning the old house.

Picked up the chicks Friday morning, one from the beginning looked sickly and it died last night so we’re at 11.  The rest are looking good in the warmer.

Fife – Enjoy the 15B; they are great transformers and the “Deadman” handle is just plain cool.

Time to get back to work.

May God bless

Jim

The heat continues, ugh.

Skipped my "goofy pills" last nite and this morning. Have an apointment with the cardiologist at 1 pm. Since I will be driving I don't want to be any goofier than normal. Whistling

Seems like it has bee forever since being at the museum, maybe the first week of July.

Good morning all,

I did not post last night as I was tired.   Sprayed weeds again, trimmed yard with Weed-Eater and used it to clear weeds off sidewalks, and trimmed more honeysuckle out of rose-of-sharon bush.   Wife helped me drag limbs to street.  Still have a few more to get.  Will be annual process to cut down new growth each year.  I hope the honeysuckle will eventually die out.  Foyt team did about as expected Sunday.  Munoz 11th(almost a top 10) and Daly was 15th.  Not enough Hondas blew for them to make better positions.   I hope everyone has a good day.

they did ebay postage. If you check the tracking number it will say the seller has printed shipping label but it is still in the hands of the seller. Or something to that effect. All that has happened is the seller printed a shipping label for it.

Very nice here today if i could of been outside all day. Dennis, I hate working under the dash to but the issue for me these days is I can't see anything well anymore up that close with my far site and can't find a place that works with the trifocal glasses.  Bang Head

We went to a recital for Lexi's dance class today. Darn thing was 4 hours long and 40 acts. Cost $80.00 per family no matter if there were two or ten. Most of the kids were just bad the rest they had dressed like street walkers and had them danceing to Rap music. Then to top it off the raffel was won by the dance place owners kid. Angry What a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  SoapBox

Grand-son is spending the night and then tomorrow we got to pick up the rusty Ranger from the upholstery shop. I had them fix the bad seat.

Morning/afternoon all!

it was a nice low humidity day yesterday. Sat out for much of the evening.

Bought one of those Black Flag mosquito forgers at HD. Works really well. I also fogged all the porch/deck undersides and railings and it does a good job controlling spiders. That was a bonus.

Found a fraying cable on the boat lift. With the weight on it there is a chance it could break next time I lower it. Could be exciting? Have a guy coming out to look at replacing all the cables. $$$

Howdy all.  Busy week.  Hope all are OK.  Hope not to be too busy this week.  Still meetings but not back to back as last week.  County and Town keep me going.

This week is suppose to be cooler and lower humidity.  Also, drier.  Seems about the time it has dried out, a big rain comes.  Had one last night while we were at the twin's birthday party.

Have a good one.

 Low 70s for today.

Me, I'm just enjoying the summer. We had our outdoor club meet on the 10th and planning another in August.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 71 in the Potomac Highlands.  Train at 1; gotta be at the yard by noon.  On Sundays, I change up the narrative and talk about the various churches and steeples in Cumberland.  I even throw in a Paul Harvey-ish segment on General Lew Wallace.

Good evening all,

Mowed the yard with the 21 inch mower as the grass was too high for the 30 inch.  Sprayed weeds again.  Got the new edger going.  Although it appears to be the same as the old one, it seems to work better.   Watched Indy 11 win their second in a row.  Foyt team is 13th and 21st (last) on the grid tomorrow.  Maybe Munoz can get another top ten.  Weather is quite nice.  I have to trim yard and spray weeds again Sunday.  Maybe wash cars as well.  I understand there is not much activity here, but the people who are here are pleasant to talk to.  The software is not the greatest, that is true, but it usually works.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Its too bad this forum doesn't have more traffic.  I really don't like the "other" one....

The antiquated software this forum uses doesnt help either....

Beautiful day on The North Bluff, sunny, 69 degrees, a nice breeze with low humidity. Good for some yard work that needs to be done.

Tired from the trip - plan to veg out this weekend to recuperate. Indy car and NASCAR Sunday.

Hello there. ..

.noTGIF this week. Heading home in the AM.

Glad we hadn't left the camper this AM when the flush valve on the toilet split and started spraying water. 1 1/2 hrs and a trip to the RV. Store fixed that.

Turns out that 3rd round is the championship round for grandsons baseball team.Bad weather moved the game to Sunday PM so Mrs and I will get to see it after the hill climb. Best get to sleep.

Prayers for those in need

Mornin' All.

Just a quick drive-by while I am still somewhat lucid. Doc gave me a new med earlier in the week and the side effects are rough. Can't walk around the house w/o running into walls or furniture not to mention falling asleep all the time. Needless to say driving is a big nono ! The BetterHalf is still back east working on getting her sister's and b-i-l's estates squared away, her b-i-l woould be in real deep doodoo w/o her help. Everyone out this way has been sworn to secrecy about the things I am dealing with, she has more than enough on her plate as it is and doesn't need anymore added to it. Besides it won't be much longer before she's home again.

Been close to a month since I have been to the museum. Seems like forever ago.

Feel a nap coming on.

Later all.

Evening all from overcast Southern Ohio,

Still unboxing and going up to the previous abode and packing up more.  I’ve not even started moving the train boxes.  That will be a few loads.  The internet guys were at the new house today so maybe we’ll get our internet working at home.  If not it will be Monday before I can check back in.

The twins come home from church camp tomorrow.  I’ve missed them.  In addition to being great company, they are great help with the moving process.  Saturday the twins and their sister will be going on vacation with the other grandparents to the beach for a week.

4-H meat chicks are coming in the mail Friday.  We’ll set up the warmer tub this evening.  The fancy rabbits should be kindling within the next few days.  We’ll see.  We never re-bred the New Zealands after loosing the litters to the cold.  Maybe when things settle down some we’ll beed them for meat, not for the fair.

Kev- I too could not sign in this morning.  Then this evening it opened and I was logged in.

Have a great evening and may God bless

Jim

We went on a short vacation the past couple of weeks.  We went up to Durango and rode the Durango Silverton RR, then down to New Mexico and rode the Cumbres & Toltec RR.  What fantastic scenery! Not to mention the fantastic equipment.

Don -- we did those two train trips about 8 years ago and enjoyed both of them immensely.  Do they still do the lunch stop in the middle of no where on the C-T?  As I recall the lunch was amazing plus they let anyone climb up into the cab during the lunch break.  The D-S is also awesome, a little more "touristy" but still worth the price of the ticket. I think south west Colorado is one of our favorite places to visit, in fact we will be out there again this fall and have plans to travel into Utah to Arches and Canyon Lands national parks.  We love road trips and our hope this fall is to catch the Aspens as they turn.

Hey, yo, Happy Wednesday....

Just hanging in there, tired, this 2 job thing is killer...

88 - nice on the Flyer, I have a UP 832 that was left over from repair at the train store, spent $50 to get it back up.  I have not tried it since it's return, but I do have 1.....I MAY splurge for some track an cars at another time.  I need to get the train attic done first, I think.

Fife, I think my layout will be 1 dimentional, no hills or mountains, just the old foam mountains from my layout as a kid and the trains will run behind them.  More like around my area of Jersey hilly but not mountainous.  And no ELs!!

Gotta get back, check y'all later
