Banks - condolances for your loss.

Sunny and 50's today.

There is a group who is putting together a display/tourist attriacion at the fair ground.  They got the major pieces set this week.  There is a steam locomotive, a cattle car, and a cabose.  Next to the track is a water tower and a windmill.  I'll take some pictures and post them in the near future.

The whole setup looks like it might have been inspired by a Lionel catalog.  The locomotive has the look of a General, Lionel offered many choices over the years for the cabose and cattle car.  The watertower has the distinct look of the #38.

All for now.

Good evening all,

A quiet day.  Replaced an electric switch out in the barn.  Read the March CTT which came today.  Going to watch a Mexican League match on Telemundo in a few minutes.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Good evening,

Banks - I'm sorry to read about your father.  I will pray for you and your family.

We've been busy the past few days and finally had time to relax today.  We are having a nice weekend, but some snow would make it better.  C'mon Chuck!

Mike C. - Our gas bill is defintely higher than our electric right now.  The wife doesn't like to be cold.

dougdagrump - Those cars seem to come and go in groups.  About a month ago I saw some for sale on the OGR forum.

Good night,

Joe

 Good morning all,

Went toTCA meet yesterday in Arcadia. Lightly attended.  Local dues went up by $5 per year.  The club needs it to carry on.

We had hurricane force winds overnight Friday and Saturday morning.  It ripped the latch off my gates to the back yard and blew the cover off my 87 Buick.  Lots of leaves in the pool too.  Noise kept me awake a lot.

I'm learning to say no when my church friend over does it about eating out every week end.  I just need some space.  I hope he gets it.

Found out about a guy I know who will sell your collection on E Bay and will handle all the listings, packing and shipping for a 20% fee.  I might take him up on some stuff and see how he does.  I would like to keep just a few choice pieces and sell the rest.  Don't have time anymore to give to the layout.

Have a good day

Ray

Good evening all,

Wet weather today.  A quiet day.  Wife has been watching Downton Abby all day.  I have been moving track around all day to do research for an article.  It is not a big writing, but it may be useful.   We did take time to have a leisurely lunch at Chili's, which was nice.   Doctor's visit and some car work are on tap for tomorrow as I will be staying home.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Good evening,
We had a pleasant Sunday today.  We did laundry, but relaxed most of the day.  I even had time to make some progress on the layout.  I started a thread about it.  Tomorrow, I will leave town for a few days as I have some work out in Quantico, VA.  However, it’s snowing nicely right now (thanks Chuck) so I’m not sure how my flights will be affected.

Mornin' boys. Itsa snohizoing here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Weather doodles are talking gloom and doom for the folks up northeast.

It was 50 degrees yesterday, and got down to the yatchet to correct what I could,  the hose seems breached near a t-coupling, co I corked one drain hole.  I was able to free up the pump motor, and empty out the bilge.  Then I sat on the deck with a Miller.

Aloha. Sunny and cold. Had a nice relaxing weekend. We barely got a trace of snow over the weekend through the same storm that is heading out east. We may get a bit more overnight that I am happy to send east too. Hope everyone out there takes care.

Banks. sorry about your Dad.

Yanks, blame Buckeye.  If he had not beaten up on the Roesyville Mayor so much, you would not be getting this blizzard.  Of course, BLIZZARD????  That is something we in NC buy from the Dairy Queen.

All I have to say for a while. [probably a long while, wanted to let Banks know I was thinking of him]

Afternoon all.

The Santa Anna winds died yesterday afternoon and you could really see the difference. Lots of hi-level clouds finally rolled in and cooled things down and more humidity with the winds turning and coming from the south. Today we are actually getting some rain, not much but every little bit helps.

Banks, Read your Dad's obit, didn't know that we shared the same last name. Had to break-out the family tree to see if the limbs intersected anywhere, you're safe I didn't see any. Continued prayers.

All you Easties stay safe, hope the weather guessers haven't over-hyped this storm. If they did it could result in much bigger problems with the next bad one.

Later all.

Good evening all,

Good day.  Got oil changed on Cruiser and muffler replaced on minivan.  Doctor's check up went well.   Did some odds and ends sorts of tasks.   Rested this afternoon. Wife trimmed hair, but left it in winter mode.   Going to watch Jane the Virgin tonight.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Hello there,

Thanks for your support. Dad was 92. He lived a long good life. He was cantankerous at times. But if something needed done he would do it.

He's been unhappy since losing his driver license.  Being on O2 brought him down more.  The passing of 3 siblings , the most recent just before Thanksgiving really brought him down. He never said so but he was ready.

Still today was a hard day.

Biggest problem now is what to do with Mom. Can't let her alone.  Getting ready to settle on her couch now. Best do it

Prayers for those in need

Banks- Angel

Got like 10" last night, still snowing now.  Got called in at 830, now up to

3 customers.  Go figure Bang Head.  Took 30 minutes rather than the usual 15 this morning, snow covered 1 of the 2 lanes and all the secondary roads were crap.

Ordered 2 CNJ RMT Hoppers Saturday, just waiting on confirmation of the order as they had a container show up yesterday.

I wonder if I could get a job at RMT?  Has to be better than this one, LOL!!!

Stay safe guys, be back soonest.  That mean you too, Fife!!!!

Evening all!

Haven't heard from Jacksachusetts. Hope you are weathering the storm ok.

I have worked in NYC and surrounding area in much worse snow than what happened last night. Weather guys are apologizing on the news tonight for leading to NYCs shutdown today. Had they not made the dire predictions and it had been worse they would have been vilified for that. Can't win.

Beautiful day here today. Nice break.

Working on toy train projects. Fun stuff but tedious sometimes.

Have a great evening all!

Good evening all,

Quiet but busy day at work.  I have a feeling a storm may be breaking soon in the work area, but not sure what the collateral damage might be.  We watched the Flash tonight.  Not much else going on.   I hope all affected by the weather out east make it through ok.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Greetings from Cape Ann Taxachusetts!  I am wiped.  The storm dumped 27 inches of Snohio.  Winds were a sustained 35+ with gusts to 65 around here. Snow drifts to 5 feet.  And it is STILL snowing and windy.  Bang Head

As fast as I cleared snow the wind put it right back.  So after 4 trips out snowblowing today I had to give up.  Tomorrow is another day.  Schools are closed of course.  But the driving ban will be lifted at midnight.

More snow on tap for Friday and possibly next Monday.  I'm off to pop an Ibuprofen or two and hit the sack.  As JoeyD would say, sayonara!

Fifer - most excellent! Bow

Jack - good you are OK

Graeme - I do not know. Attempts to track our family name have not been successful. We are not related to the Union civil war general (that will make the Chief happy).
