Aloha. So much for the snow forecast overnight - just a trace. Though it is pleasantly grey and warm-ish (30s). I am going to ride this today!

Doug, They told us just a trace, we got 2" and Yorkville got 5.5" Hmm

Took care of a sick little guy today.

Got there at 7:00am and Jordan slept till 9:30 woke up with a fever for day three. I spent about 7 hours rocking him and rubbing his back to keep him sleeping. We did do some lunch and he ate for the first time in two days. Making him sleep, worked, When he got up at 3:30 PM he had broke the fever and smiled for the first time of the day. I think he had the flu. We will see how he is tomorrow. Lexi was pissed, she wanted to stay home but I am glad she went to school, Jordan needed the sleep.

What grandparents, do. Big Smile

Good evening all,  took all day for my tired old computer to allow me to get on line.

Went to gastrointerologist today and got a reprieve from getting a colonoscopy until later this year in July. Big releif!

Went to caregiver meeting yesterday.  I needed it.

Went out to eat last night at N and Out burger.  Always good!  Might be forced to cook tonight.  Will have some Mia Mia fish.  Got all the finished package of my living trust in the mail today from the lawyer.  Sounds like I have a lot of reading to do and oversight to make sure everything gets done right in the future.  I thought that was what we were paying him for.  Nothing is easy.

later,

Ray

Good evening all,

Weather was a bit cooler and work was quiet.  Got to play indoor soccer and scored one goal.  Not many played but I had a good time.  Saw the last half of Arrow.  Went to the visitation for my coworker's mom today.   It was a bit different, but she was glad to see us all there.   I hope everyone has a good day.

WinkWinkWinkHi GUYZ,

Got tree inches here!  Still sno hi o ing here. Wife had 2 hr. delay.  Gonna take dog to the mountain today.  Then going down to BARRYs to pick up my back ordered stuff from MTH that finally came in.  On a sad note BARRY had quite a few health issues and because of that has the warehouse only opened 2 days a week for his costomers.  He has closed down the store and only will be running the warehouse for the time being.  I'll find out more today.

FIFE, tight fit to get to?  You'll have the time in what 17 weeks?  Pace yourself, buddy.  These winks don't work for me?

Stay frosty my friends,

V8, I have been using florescents in the garage/layout for years.  However, I have found that the ones that are labeled for kitchen give off better light for showing off the colors of model trains and especially for old Lionel trains.  I found that the regular florescent lights were too stark and cold and were not as good for photography either.  My departed long time friend and train collector/repair man always used nothing but incondecent bulbs.  They do look warmer for photos.

Chief will appreciate this.  I tried to cook some frozen collard greens from the super market last night and even used a little seasoning ham meat but they tasted like cardboard.  Guess they have to be fresh.  I remember a lot of soul food from growing up in the South but never had to cook it then.  I did better on black eyed peas.  Now, if I could just find some stone/water ground cornmeal around here I would be all set.  So much for cooking.

Fourth night on the road.  I'm in the best Lexington has to offer, the Griffen Gate Marriott.  With a high of 37 degrees today, I thought I was in the tropics.  I wished the outdoor pool was open.

I've been amazed how many trains go through Lexington. They look like trash trains, but I was told they were hauling grits.  Same thing.

Packing up tomorrow morning and heading home.  Yeah

Banks...... My condolences to you and your family.  I know you will miss your Dad.  I miss mine.

After four days in three different hotels and almost 750 miles I'm out of grits and sweet tea country.  Yeah

TGIF........That was one long week and next week takes me again to the South.  I dare not say where ahead of time.  Remember the last time the Roseyville Cops started to chase me? Now you know why I'm so secretive.

Good Morning Y'all.

Yesterday went well at the museum, no pile-ups. The weather was great for the visitors we had from way up north and northeast, asked if they were missing the snow & cold from at home but I can't say what they said. Embarrassed

Need some help guys, the BetterHalf will be host a "Baby Shower" in early March and I had an idea for the grandson's Thomas layout in the living room. I have started looking for a K-Line "It's A Boy" boxcar:

I found one on EvilBay but they are wanting twice the original MSRP. Anybody seen one lately ? Did the google thing with no luck.
Later all.

Afternoon all!

Been out of touch as I was a little under the weather this past week. May have picked something up at the train show last weekend.

Angel Banks - sorry for your loss.
