traindaddy1 - tellmeaboudit....  between now and November 27th I have to design and build 2 Christmas layouts for grandson and nephew, configure some new purchases for Wifey's Dept 56 North Pole layout, and reassemble the 12x3 holiday train display for our bank.

Morning all.  Sunny, hot and humid.  What's new. Confused

Shake and Bake called.  He is doing well as expected.  Was surprised at the big cast.  Also that he was out from 10 AM till like 5 or 6 PM.  They did a lot but this should make it a permanent job.  Good humor.  Even discussed to CA thingy on the gun forum.  He said liberals with guns.  Then we talked about some trains.  Summary, bored but back to his old self.

Do some chores here and then take Wifey on a shopping trip around town.  She just left with her buddy to do some plant shopping.

Hope all are doing OK.

Fifey, whiney whiney.  You love do those layout.  You are good at it. Thumbs Up

Later gang.

PS: couple killed last night by NS freight train in neighboring town.  Car got stuck on the tracks. [bail out????]

Good morning all.

D. Baker, glad the surgery went well.  Prayers for good recovery.  Talk to you when you're home.

Got my business done at the financial advisor's yesterday.  Turned out to be a 35 mile drive, one way, not 20 as I thought.  The crazy part was the guy could have done it all by phone and I could have just mailed him a check.Angry  He is good at stampeding people.  Next time, I'm not falling for it.  He can come to see me.  The road runs both ways.

My aches and pains feel a little better today.  Had a good night's sleep for a change.  Still don't know the cause but will see doc next week if it persist.  Might be a lung problem.  Been sitting in a draft lately during the hot weather.

later,

Ray

Chief whats the website for the gun forum. Since I can't post anymore on the fiero forum I've been looking for another forum as active and good as it is. I still read it. I use forums for my entertainment in the evening now and have for a long time. The TV is on but kind of background only and often I don't know whats going on on it.

Typed another apology and it has been ignored.  OH!, one of the guys in AZ [name is Frank] told me, on the phone this AM she, is a he.  Just uses a ladies photo.  I had figured out earlier Technical Director was an _ _ _ H_ _ _.  Professional shooter.  I joined the forum in 2003.  Was a close bunch of guys and gals.  Everyone real nice.  Stopped posting after about a year and just dropped in some to read.  New crowd "took over" a few years ago.  "Unique bunch".  A few are nice.  What blew my mind was the guy who posted that he wished no one harm or death including Isis.  Now that went too far for me.

http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=3

The thread is the Watering Hole.  Oh, changes every Sunday night to a new "version".

Maybe you should get on and say, "I'm for CA" and go to it.  Bet he will slyly [he never called my name but everyone knew] let you have it.

Hey everyone, where is DougsNOTagrump?????  Hope his health is not acting up.

Mornin All.

Best wishes for Don's recovery, third times a charm. Cowboy

Chief, I'm still around just to pooped to post at times. Just dropping in for a quick one, got a load in the dryer another in the washer plus about three more to go. Good runs on Friday and with the Kid's Club on Saturday. Monday the museum will be open for Labor Day so the kids will be running the layout for the whole day, two trains per main w/TMCC or DCS only. Today I'm gonna be cooking up about a 5# pork butt for some pulled pork sandwiches & coleslaw for the crew tomorrow, someone else will be bringing the apple pie and maybe even some icecream to top it. ChefDinner

Got my Missle Launch Vehicle running again, finally, and it saw action last Friday. This thing is always a hit with both adults and kids alike. Thumbs Up

Sure wish we knew how Mike was doing. Prayers continue Angel
Ray(spman) Prayers also ongoing for you & your family.
Fife, When do you officially become considered a "short-timer" ? You would have enjoyed yourself here last weekend, the tallships were in for FleetWeek.
Gotta run, time to check the laundry progress and check the pantry to prepare for cooking today's and tomorrow's meals.
Later all
P.S._Assuming the web-cams will be on tomorrow if you want to see an example of what "herding cats" might be check out our website between 11am & 4pm Pacific tomorrow. Smile, Wink & Grin

Morning all.  Partly cloudy and hot.  YES, HUMID too.

Glad to see Doug W. is OK.  Now have to find Doug M. ????

Not going to the lake house.  Wifey and I are fed up with it.  No relaxation.  Seems family shows up with dogs and not invited.  Answer, we don't go and hope to get it sold.  Going to have to hook up with a realtor.

Have a safe holiday.

Good Morning! 87 going to 90! Hot and Humid!

Funny, the last day in August and the only day we had to have the A/C running in August. The Thunderstorms that were forecasted are now for this evening and tomorrow. BBQ today. Only thing on the train front is cleaning, servicing and repairs.

Chief: After what you posted, I do not blame you for selling the lake house.

Doug: Nice Missle Launcher.

Enjoy the Day!

Morning all hope all doing well. Talked with Don B. yesterday for about a 1/2 hour or so. It was good hearing his voice I kinda shocked him and at first he wasn't sure who I was lol as I think we have only talked once or twice before. He did sound good thou

Well I hooked up a TPC-300 to run the second loop and something is wrong I have power to it and going out of it but not to the track so something I did is wrong and can hear the ZW buzz getting more intense when I try to  turn the speed to increase so I think I have a short over there some where. So plan to get to the train table and see what is what down there, and might just give the second level its own transformer and base unit, and see if that cures the problem I have more than enough transformers to do that. That maybe the easiest way to solve that problem. I know about a year ago when I had it hooked up that way all was fine. First need to hook up my other ZW to this one and get them in phase. Then get another transformer for the second level think the LW will do fine. as only need one out put. and think it will fit under the second level fine along with the second base I have. I honestly think it might be something to do with the wiring some where but this will solve it for sure. (recheck the wires to the hook-up for the tracks make sure its not shorting there also.)

Hope all having a good Labor Day Weekend will stop in again later.

Hey well problem fixed was actually two fold had one skinny strand of wire cross the other terminal and the 736 still didn't really want to run up there but the lighted search light worked fine this time so brought the 736 down to main loop removed the legacy engine and then put the 736 on the track worked fine down on main loop so going to take apart and clean and lube anyway its been a long time and it has been sitting for at least 2 years I would bet. So now all is working fine as I put my 2346 up on the second level and all is fine. So that set will be up there for a while.

Evenin All.

Hot & sticky today, looking forward to Fall and cooler weather. Grumpy

Chief, Create your own signage to put by the front door, like the the "No Soliciting" signs. But your's should say "No Visitation Without An Appointment". We agree that "unplanned" visitors can be a real PITA.

RT, That is the Missle Launch Vehicle from the 2007 catalog, it does have TMCC but NO sounds unless you also can find the sound car that matches it. It took quite awhile to put the two together because it was difficult to find them at a reasonable price, MSRP would have put them in the $500 range. Bang Head I've been kinda looking for the U.S. Army Security Car, 6-26872 to add to the consist, just waiting to find one at the right price.

Got a few things left to do to get ready for tomorrow, Night All.

How about the post war Security car 3535 but its not cheap normally either around $50 - $100 reason I asked you about the tmcc I have 2 of them but there postwar and blue (#44) the marine one was green and it's about double what the 44 is ( marine is #45) I also have added the 6844 missile carrying car behind them and 6544 missile launching car so my armory set is ready for anybody lol.

Good night all.

Walked to the pond this afternoon late. Got to the property back gate [this is wooded area] and looked across the creek [actually a branch, its the beginning of a big creek] and there was a coyote trotting away from me at 30 feet. Drew my conceal carry .40 Kahr [big round, little weapon], coyote was then in the branch and out of sight, came out at about 40 yds., one round, trotted up the hill, second round at 50+ and then it "changed gears". What a surprise. Only a few in the area. Not like some states. This was a wooded area between two big subdivisions. It disappeared headed toward one of those subdivisions. This coyote was use to seeing and being around people. Down east I would have not gotten that close to one just walking in the woods. Weapon cleaned and back in its holster. Will have to start carrying my .40 cal. Ruger carbine with red dot sight. Son gave it to me when Sheriff's Dept. surplus them. A very accurate little tactical rifle.

Sleep tight.

Mornin' boys.  And best wishes to all of our expectant mothers today...  Mostly cloudy & 73 in fifedom.  Need to dive on the yatchet's bottom this afternoon, as either barnies or mussels or both have set up house on my prop and rudder. Bang Head  Spoiled my cruise yesterday.  Did get to see a lot of the Memphis Bell this weekend, which was cool.  Gave nephew a RMT-Bang, in Beth Steel livery, for his 1st birthday.

Good race last night at Atlanta, however Princess Sparkle Pony's 6th place finish seems to have overshadowed everything else. Puh-leeez.

My birdies seem to be pulling away in their division. Yeah

Buckeye's football team was in town, and Fifepup got to see the pep-rallies for them and Navy while he was working on the dinner-yatchet.

Roseyville is offering free saunas.  Just come and visit the outdoors. Bang Head  90 some degrees and humidity about the same.  Even Finn, the golden doodle, who loves outside will not stay.  No rain in sight.  Couldn't turn it off the past month or so.  Watered tomatoes and peppers yesterday evening.  Flowers and shrubs this evening.

NEWS: Shake and Bake waiting for therapist to come and then getting out of "prison".  This is great.

Stay cool.
