Mornin' Y'all !
Long absence but still around, hopefully we are caught up on things so I won't be so wore out. Hope all had a great Easter Sunday, we had 15 guests here but most everybody brought a dish to share so I didn't didn't have to cook like i had the past years. Even the BetterHalf did some KP to help with my kitchen chores, not sure if that was a help or a hindrance.
DJ, Great news on Tyler !
Mike, Major congas on the marathon preps.
My old 22 rifle that I learned to shoot and hunt with almost sixty years ago is here and will be going to one of the local gunsmiths for an inspection and any required repairs. Want to present it to his Dad and the munchkin next Christmas. That will also give me time to maybe refinish the stock.
Time to get to work on putting yesterday's stuff away.
Later all !
P.S._Laz, Almost forgot. I'm still looking for the two car add-on set for my L&N RK passenger set. Maybe, just maybe they will be at York. http://www.mthtrains.com/content/30-6968

Good Morning!
Sounds like everyone had a great Easter. We did! Had a great Ham dinner and watched a couple of movies.
Still waiting for schedule to remove fixator, I am pushing all the strings to try and make it happen.
Doug, thanks for allocating the room for me to get around Baker Field, nice to be remembered.
Take care guys and STAY Healthy!

Aloha. Sounds like a nice Easter was had by all. We had magnificent weather and could even sit outside in the sun. MikeC, good work on the prep run! I remember taking US 31 through the entire state of Indiana (to eventually reach Tennessee) just to avoid the interstates and see some of the country. DJ, good news on Tyler. I echo MikeC's recommendation about seeing the new Captain America movie. Joe, what a great meal!

Mornin' boys. Sunny & 44 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Nice weekend, but glad it's over. We hosted family dinner and egg-hunt, which meant Spring spruce-up then clean-up after. Pooped. Fifepup drove up to Connecticut to visit his sweetheart, and meet the family. Middle Princess came home for weekend, and it was great having all the girls together.

Good evening all,
Had a nice day with the family. Daughter liked idea of renting a car so all worked out well in that respect. Anyone traveling US 31 north of Indy would be advised to find alternate routes as it was bad coming home. Weather is finally nice. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Home again home again, etc. Busy & Fun 72 hours and 700+ miles, sure fun to be with family and enjoy just a wonderful morning today.
Mike C., CONGRATULATIONS on you prep work for the run! Way To Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good to be HOME

So many roads, so little time.
Happy Easter All. Home and resting now. Moved oldest Wed and Thursday. Thursday PM, went to farm for a stay. Turkey hunted Friday. Got one around 4 PM. Got home and Windows ran and updagte and no Desktop. Computer at computer shop. Maybe a total stop of hard drive and that has nothing to do with updates. Now on laptop.
No train time lately. Mostly Town time and a little hunting. Same for this week.
Hope all are OK.
Morning all. Happy Easter All.
Well not to much going on today. Think I will go back to the unit tomorrow to rearrange it some. Got some stuff for free as some one didn't sell it and didn't want to pack it back up worst scenario pack it up take to auction house and get $5 for it. lol I'm getting things in a organization I like little by little. still need to get more items so that's a slow process ( other than trains lol) although I'm getting more and more interest each week.
Wife is getting up to make Easter dinner just a lazy day around here it was like 9 before I got up lol.
Well guess will go down and organize the train table and get the other remote dug out as think I will take one of the tmcc sets to the flea market to use.
Well you all have a good day

Good Morning, Joe.....
Happy Easter to All......
It is a beautiful day beginning. Going up to a sunny 75.
Today is an easy day. We have a nice dinner planned and relax is the word of the day. I think I will spend some time outside later.
Breakfast is Cheerios on the Dining car.
Y'all have a great Easter Sunday.
Happy Easter!
Ohayo Chuck!
The Easter pie I made yesterday came out great and the two loafs I made are just about gone. I had some last night after it came out of the oven and also had some for breakfast and lunch today. Today’s church service was nice and our Easter dinner was delicious. For dinner, I made lamb, roasted cauliflower risotto, and stuffed artichokes. The wife made a salad. For dessert, I made tiramisu; it was the first I ever made it and I was extremely pleased with the result.
I hope you all have a great Easter Sunday!
Sayonara,
Joe
It has been a busy day. Reffed a game on the big field for the youth soccer club. A 2-1 game at halftime turned into a 7- blowout, but it could have been much closer with slightly different circumstances. Rested after that and watched Sunderland score a major upset over Chelsea (at Chelsea!) with a 2-1 win. Did some errands and then cleaned up for a dinner for the local historical society. Food was good and the talk was on local architecture given by someone I went to high school with. We had to leave slightly early so we could get a seat for the Easter Vigil mass, which was over 2 hours long. Long day today and longer one tomorrow as we go to my sister's place for a holiday gathering for the first time since my dad passed away 3 years ago. Oh and my daughter called wanting to borrow one of our vehicles while one of theirs is getting tires and breaks. We may give them car rental money instead. I hope everyone has a good day.
Good morning all,
Don't think we are going to do the Easter Bunny thing this year with candy etc. After all our kids are old men by now and our grandson is 16. However, I did pick up a pound of See's Candy which I got a voucher for at a fun raiser at church. See's is one of our finest chocolate sources locally. I had a few pieces yesterday afternoon and almost made myself sick. Have to ration that stuff when you're not used to it.
Looks like nice weather for Easter with pleasant temperatures.
Wound up with another load of strawberries yesterday when I bought a large box to save money. I'll have to make shortcake to get rid of em.
Have a blessed Easter to all,
SPMan
Good Morning from Blueberryhill.........
Good Morning, Joe........
It is a sunny 46 degrees. Going up to 70 today with sunshine.
Today is an easy day. They cut our grass, yesterday, for the first time. A lot of tree branches had to be picked up from the winter. End result was pretty good. Relaxing today.
Indians better start getting their hitting better.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Konnichiwa and Ohayo Chuck,
The older two kids’ piano recital went well and the kids did a great job. They each played a solo piece and then played a duet, which is quite the feat since they tend to aggravate each other most of the time. We took them out to lunch afterwards and the older boy and I are now getting ready for baseball practice. Tonight’s big plans will consist of preparing Easter foods.
Laz – After my grandmother died, one of our neighbors (another old Italian lady) used to make some for us every Easter. After she died, my father would drive to Hazelton to buy it. I started making it about seven or eight years ago and I have been pleased with the result, but I do refine it every year. Growing up, it was a huge treat for us because all the special meats and cheeses can be quite pricey.
Mike C. – Great job! I know how fulfilling completing a run like that can be.
DJ – I’m glad to hear Tyler’s results were clean.
I have a story for you. In 1967, Parnelli had the field covered with the turbine when it quit with about 6 laps to go, putting AJ in the lead. On the front straightaway on the last lap, there was a wreck involving several cars. AJ slowed and drove around the mess. The PA man, Tom Carnegie, was yelling, "Where is Foyt? Where is Foyt?.... There he is, there he is." as AJ collected his 3rd win at Indy. Tonight as I was completing my 13.1 mile practice jog for the Mini-Marathon, I thought I heard Tom saying, "Where is Mike? Where is Mike?....There he is, there he is!!" Gentlemen, I have never hurt so much as I did when I was doing that jog/walk tonight, but I finished the distance. At the very end of the run, the local Honda train came by where I was working out, hauling a load of empties to the plant. Somehow it was all very fitting.
They did some more work on the shower today. It is starting to come together. Wife and I went to Good Friday service as well. I hope everyone has a good day.
Hi GUYZ,
Not to bad here tis GOOD FRIDAY morning. Getting up to 58 then a nice weekend for Easter. Just made Peanut butter eggs with the WIFE. All looks good?
FIFE, wow neighbors place gets robbed with you next door. Brazzin to say the least. Gotta catch that nut.

Good Morning, Joe..........
It is a partly cloudy 48 degrees. Going up to 60 today.
Today is a busy day. I have a bunch of chores to do and will be busy until lunch. Maybe a nap, later.
Buckeye & LAZ........TGIF
Y'all have a great Good Friday.
Mornin' boys. Grey & 39 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Gonna mow the lawn before work. Next door neighbor's house was burglarized yesterday evening (twice in last 6 months for them). Pretty brazen, but the perp(s) seem to know what they're after. I'm thinkin' former contractor, or worse, felon within eye-shot.
1 week 'til YORK.
Hello there,
Tried to sleep in this AM but with the help of Raven I was wide awake ready to go at my usual get up time of 4:45.
Did some stuff around the house and now I think I'll hit the treadmill and shower til Mrs gets awake.
Lots o stuff on the plate today then Good Friday service followed by frying fish. Last one this year. Always look forward to them but it's also a relief when they're done for the year.
I'll take this opportunity to wish everybody a Blessed and Happy Easter in case I don't get back before. The family gathering is at my folks place tomorrow evening.
Prayers for those in need

Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,
I arrived home from Okinawa late last night. It’s funny, after more than two years of living in Japan, I finally have the hang of train system. It’s not a difficult system, but reading and understanding Kanji (written language) and Japanese would make it easier. I had a good trip to Okinawa but the only photos I had time to take were of the sun setting Wednesday night. I’ll try to post them in the next couple of days. I did enjoy some good food while I was there which was nice.
Today I took a day of leave since the wife is out for the night on a ladies culture club trip. The youngest and I took care of some chores including the grocery shopping. I made sure to pick up the items I need to make Italian Easter pie (pizza to some) as well as the lamb for Easter dinner on Sunday. Tomorrow will be busy as the older two kids have a piano recital and then we have baseball practice.
Ken – It sounds like you got this one right. I’m glad to hear your grandson is doing so well, especially since I’m sure the coach wasn’t cheap. It would be interesting to know who it was. By the way, did you notice who is on top of the AL East?
Brent – That is a funny story.
Quiet day at work. Sunny and warmer. Wife and I went to see Captain America tonight. Very good movie. I highly recommend. I hope everyone has a good day.
